四、Teaching Procedures

1. Warm - up (5 minutes)

- Teacher's Activity: Show some pictures of different hobbies (e.g., painting, reading, playing sports). Ask students: "What's your favourite hobby? Why do you like it?"

- Students' Activity: Look at the pictures and share their favourite hobbies and reasons.

 

2. Pre - writing: Review the Questionnaire (10 minutes)

- Teacher's Activity:

- Ask students to take out their completed questionnaires from Part D1.

- Guide students to review the information in the questionnaire, such as "What is your favourite hobby?", "How often do you do it?", "When do you do it?", "Why do you like it?", "Who is your role model?", "How can your hobby help you?".

- Explain that this information will be the basis for their writing.

- Students' Activity:

- Take out the completed questionnaires.

- Review the information in the questionnaires.

 

3. Pre - writing: Analyze Sandy's Article (10 minutes)

- Teacher's Activity:

- Ask students to read Sandy's article in Part D2.

- Guide students to analyze the structure of Sandy's article:

- Introduction: State the favourite hobby.
