Come with me,” she 3 ___ (要求道). “What do you want?” 4 (问道) one of the men. “There’s a woman in the water and she can’t swim,” she 5 (喊道) pulling at the man’s sleeve. The two men ran to the other side of the boat. “I’m coming!” 6 (喊道) one of the men and he jumped into the water. He swam quickly to the drowning woman and held onto her arm. “Stay still and I’ll pull you back to the boat,” he 7 (对……说) her. cried replied demanded asked shouted yelled told told 【走】 Walk wander (around) 漫步;游荡 pace (back and forth) 踱步 sneak (into) 溜;偷偷地走 rush (to) 冲;奔 creep (along) 爬行;缓慢移动 stagger (蹒跚) 【看】 look/ watch/ see have a good view of 清楚看到 catch sight of 看到 stare at 盯着 glare at 怒视 glance at 扫视 glimpse at 瞥一眼 blink 眨眼 eyes fall on sth. 试比较下面两句: ⑴ She went to catch the butterfly. ⑵ She crept along the path, bent over swiftly and cupped her hands around the butterfly gently. Mac opened the car door and went in. Mac pulled the car door open and jumped into the car without any hesitation. 2. Jane stood up and continued to walk forward. Jane struggled to her feet and moved forward with her shaky legs. 3. 原句:She felt very nervous. Her heart was thumping/ racing as she paced back and forth. 3. 比较以下几组句子: ⑴ The old man’s face wrinkled. ⑵ The old man’s face was like a withered apple. ⑴ My stomach was aching for not eating on time. ⑵ My stomach was punishing me for not eating on time. ⑴ When she heard the bad news, she cried. ⑵ When she heard the bad news, a river of tears poured out. rhetorical device simile personification metaphor & exaggeration My heart is like a singing bird. She spoke hurriedly, as if her heart had leaped into her throat. He ran back home in a flood of tears. She was walking on air after wining the first prize. They are now like a cat on hot bricks. (1) Unpacking the box, there was a delicate necklace inside. (2) I unpacked the box, a delicate watch inside was in sight and my jaw(下巴) dropped. ⑴ There is a broken car on the road. ⑵ The car went out of control and crashed into a wall. When he saw the coat in the bag, he looked very astonished and then asked his mother to come out. Seeing the coat in the bag, he asked his mother to come out, looking very astonished. Jane walked in the forest and felt tired and hopeless. Jane walked in the forest, tired and hopeless. In the evening, the children returned home. They were tired and hungry.
