They want me to spend more time on extra lessons, while I hope to join the school football team and have some time for my hobbies. These quarrels make me feel upset and we even don’t talk much after that. I know you’re good at dealing with such relationships, so could you give me some advice? How can I communicate with my parents more smoothly and make them understand my needs? Looking forward to your reply. Dear Li Hua, I’m sorry to hear you’ve been upset about arguing with your parents over how to plan your weekends. It’s a common conflict—you want to follow your football hobby, while they care about your studies, so I completely understand how frustrating this situation is for you. Here are two practical tips. First, talk to them when everyone calms down. Listen to their worries and then explain to them that playing football is not just fun—it can also develop teamwork skills and help you relax, which in turn helps you stay more focused when you get back to studying. Second, promise to balance it with schoolwork, like finishing homework before practice. Just remember that your parents just care about you. I’m sure they understand if you show responsibility. Cheer up! Everything will work out. Wish my advice could help you! Yours, Tom 第二节(满分25分) She realized that her parents were trying, and she should also make some efforts. She decided to prepare breakfast for her family. She wanted to show them that she appreciated their efforts and was willing to contribute to chores. Seeing what their daughter had done for them, Mom and Dad couldn’t help smiling. Over breakfast, Emily started a conversation politely, explaining her actions and feelings calmly. Her parents listened carefully and talked about their concerns. After a peaceful and harmonious talk, Emily understood her parents better and they agreed to give her more free time as long as she took good care of herself. The following hour witness a happy family breakfast and their laughter. Over the next few weeks, Emily noticed things changed amazingly. Her parents listened to her opinions and took her suggestions seriously. Emily, in turn, made sure to keep her promises about being open and honest with them. The atmosphere at home was filled with respect and understanding. Now, they have made it a rule to have regular and honest communication every day. Enjoying the warm atmosphere, Emily is glad that they have worked together to improve the relationship. She wants to offer the tips to all her friends who are worried about family relationships—Put yourself in your parents’ shoes and try to understand them; the key to keeping peace is regular and honest communication. ………………○……………… … 学校:______________姓名:_____________班级:_______________考号:______________________ 2025-2026学年高一英语必修第一册单元测试(江苏专用) Unit 2·培优卷 学校:___________班级:___________姓名:___________分数:___________ (时间:120分钟,满分:150分) 注意事项: 1. 1. Here are a few things you can do to help your teen: Build Their Confidence The teenage years can be the hardest. While they may not openly talk about it with you, your child is dealing with hormones(荷尔蒙), changing peer groups, and big life events, while sometimes struggling with low self-esteem. Unfortunately, this can cause them to isolate themselves and ignore the advice of their adult peers or role models. The more that you can assist your teen in developing positive behavioral and life skills, the more confident they will be when they are a part of a community on their own. Model Conflict Resolution According to psychology, even the best of friends are going to have fights, but not every argument means the end of a friendship or community. Conflict is a natural part of relationships. Help them work on “fighting fair” and recognizing when to take a break from an argument to cool off. Particularly when it comes to social media, where misunderstandings are common and conflict can quickly get out of control, teach your teen the value of saying “I think we’re both really upset. Let’s talk about this in person tomorrow.” The best way to do this is to model healthy conflict resolution yourself. Help Connect Them Sometimes, your child needs guidance when making positive relationships in their school or social group. Encouraging them to get involved in a sport, hobby, after-school club, or youth group can help tremendously(巨大地)when it’s time for them to build a community with like-minded people. Engage in community service as a family. When they serve others in their community, they will feel more invested in the group’s well-being and be more open to making connections with others. Overall, helping your child build connections within a supportive community has tremendous benefits. The need for love and belonging is part of our basic needs as human beings. It provides beneficial life skills for teens. 21. How can parents do to help teenagers to build their confidence? A. By ignoring the advice of others. B. By making them isolate themselves. C. By openly having a discussion with them. D. By helping them improve positive skills. 22. To resolve the conflict, the teens should ________. A. turn to therapy models and practitioners B. have a fight with their best friend C. find right ways to deal with it themselves D. cool when they are having an argument 23. What kind of community activity is suggested in the passage? A. Playing basketball with others after school. B. Improving individual well-being by himself. C. Asking for donation online for himself. D. Doing some cleaning with peers for the needed. B “Who says it’s Father’s Day?” my son says to me, with the questioning angry look of someone who’s been told they have extra tax to pay. “Well, the world does,” I tell him, suddenly self-conscious. “It’s a special day for daddies.” Something about this—I can’t think what—comes out sounding quite desperate and he looks at me as if I’ve just suggested he prove his love for me with a face tattoo(纹身). It’s a look of suspicion, but also of tender concern for my mental state. This is his fifth Father’s Day, so I can’t help feeling slightly wounded that the concept hasn’t stuck with him. I also can’t help noting that he has never had any such issue with Mother’s Day, which has always seemed to him like common sense. The event’s nearness to his own birthday two weeks from now—is making things more difficult for him to tolerate. It would seem he finds it impolite that the run-up to his special day should be interrupted so close to the finish line by a day that celebrates me, the lesser of his two parents. In any case, if he’s planning to make or gift me something, this conversation has been a masterstroke of expectation management “So, will all daddies get a Father’s Day?” he asks. “Yes,” I reply, “and this isn’t new—it’s every year!” I attempt to regulate my voice/offence, but also make it very clear I haven’t made this idea up on the spot by myself. “You’ve been doing it since you were born. And it’s been around longer than that. I get things for Granddad every year, too.” At this he stirs himself up. He has never quite stopped being fascinated by the idea that his granddad is my dad, in the same way that I am his. I suppose it’s the same thrill I feel when I see pictures of massive cranes(起重机)being built by other, even bigger cranes. “What do you get him?” he asks. “Well,” I say, “things like CDs or socks—and always a card.” At this he seems inspired. “I’ll do a card!” he says, brightening. “You could buy me something, too. . .” I begin, but he is no longer listening, running to grab coloured paper and glittery pens. Not wishing to see this tribute to myself a whole week early, I smile and tell him I really shouldn’t be watching and get up to leave him to it. “Yes!” he says, just in time for me to see he’s actually writing “Dear Granddad” on the page. “Don’t tell him!” 24. How does the writer feel when explaining Father’s Day? A. Suspicious. B. Embarrassed. C. Proud. D. Ridiculous. 25. What can be inferred from the son’s response? A. The son feels hurt because the concept escapes him. B. The writer looks relieved due to his son’s tender heart. C. A face tattoo is the way to prove a son’s love for his father. D. The son identifies with Mother’s Day more than Father’s Day. 26. Why does the writer mentions Granddad? A. To justify the annual celebration of Father’s Day. B. To practice skills of expectation management. C. To narrow the gap between the three generations. D. To link Father’s Day to his son’s birthday. 27. Which of the following best summarizes the passage? A. To send a DIY card to grandpa is a good idea to celebrate Father’s Day. B. My son decides to celebrate Father’s Day for grandpa instead of me. C. My son seems not to be attentive to Father’s Day celebration for me. D. My son finally celebrates Father’s Day by making a card for me. C A quarrel at home may result in you falling ill. Don’t laugh—it’s true. Family matters including living habits and even the way we speak have a big effect on our health, doctors say. Wang Xiaoyu, Senior 2 girl from Xichang, Sichuan Province fainted in class when she heard her classmates quarrel at the top of their voices. Quarrels between her parents also put her into a coma. It is because she has depression, caused by bad relations at home, doctors explained. “We don’t get sick or stay well by ourselves,” says Dr. Robert Ferrer from the US. Ferrer shows that family relationships may explain about 25% of health problems in his recent research. The genes you get from your family may cause illness. If one of your parents has a heart attack, your risk of being affected may double. But effects on health are not only written in our DNA. Unrelated people who live under the same roof also get similar problems. Food, lifestyle and environment influence our health, too. Ferrer’s research also found that if teenagers feel they get little attention from their parents, they are more likely to get sick. We may never fully understand all the effects that families have on our health. But just as a single person’s problems can have effects on others, a small improvement can have big effects, Ferrer said. 28. Why did Wang Xiaoyu faint in class? A. Because her classmates had hit her. B. Because she shouted to her classmates aloud. C. Because her schoolwork was too hard for her. D. Because a serious quarrel broke out in her class. 29. The underlined word “coma” in Paragraph 2 probably means ________. A. excitement B. faint C. tiredness D. sadness 30. Which of the following might Dr. Ferrer agree with? A. We get sick or stay well by ourselves. B. What we eat doesn’t matter much to our health. C. Teenagers need enough attention from parents to keep healthy. D. Only the genes we get from parents decide our health condition. 31. What does the author want to tell us in the passage? A. We can’t avoid getting sick. B. Happy families keep us healthy. C. Health is important to everyone. D. We should get on well with others. D Researchers from the Yale Child Study Center collected 21 days of daily diaries from parents and teens from151 families. Participating teens were in the 9th and 10th grades, and ranged from 13 to 16 years old. By analyzing these diaries, the researchers could connect parents’ displays of warmth with daily fluctuations(变动)in how loved their teens were feeling. “The daily methodology is suited to providing caregivers with practical suggestions for daily life,” says Beata Ujvari, who was not involved in the study. Regardless of the general closeness of the parent-teen relationship, the researchers found that teens reported feeling more loved on days when parents reported showing more warmth in the form of affection, understanding, or praise. Likewise, teens reported feeling less loved on days when parents reported more conflicts than usual. More importantly, the researchers also found that parents could weaken the impact of conflicts by showing their teens warmth. In other words, on days when parents were warm, high levels of conflicts didn't reduce how loved teens felt. To weaken conflicts’ impact, warmth had to be shown on the same day, but the warmth and conflicts did not need to be related, the researchers said. “Parents often complain about the conflicts they are experiencing with their children,” said John Coffey, the study’s lead author, “but our study suggests conflicts are manageable.” The study adds to a growing body of evidence suggesting daily fluctuations in feeling loved are common even in long-term relationships. How parents and teens communicate and resolve conflicts may be most important to maintaining a healthy relationship in the long term, said the researchers. “The study findings are particularly useful right now,” added Coffey, “because parents and their children are spending much time together. Finding ways to be kind and warm will help lessen potential conflicts and ensure children feel loved.” 32. The main purpose of the study conducted by Yale Child Study Center is to ________. A. investigate the daily conflicts between parents and teens B. explore the impact of age and gender on teens’ emotional well-being C. provide practical suggestions for caregivers to avoid conflicts with their teens D. examine the link between parental warmth and teens’ sense of being loved 33. How can parents reduce conflicts’ effect on their teens according to the text? A. By displaying emotional warmth on the same day. B. By spending more time with their teens. C. By showing understanding related to the conflicts D. By expressing agreement on whatever their says. 34. It can be inferred from the study that ________. A. conflicts between parents and teens are entirely unavoidable B. parents’ warmth can effectively reduce conflicts between parents and teens C. teens’ feelings of being loved are not affected by their parents’ conflicts D. daily fluctuations in feeling loved are common in long-term relationships 35. Which of the following statements is NOT mentioned in the passage? A. Parents and teens frequently encounter disagreement or arguments. B. Parents’ warmth can be shown through the expression of affection and understanding. C. The study suggests that conflicts between parents and teens can be handled. D. The study suggests that parents spend more time with their children. The parent-child relationship is one that nurtures the physical, emotional, and social development of a child. However, as the pressure of schoolwork increased and her social life expanded, she found their family relationship on the rocks. She disliked it when her parents kept asking such questions as “Where are you going”, “Who are you going with”. She felt they were always on her back about something. She just couldn’t see eye to eye with them on so many things! The once harmonious home environment was now filled with heated arguments and cold silences. Emily felt her parents didn’t understand her, and they felt she was becoming distant and impatient. It seemed that they were becoming strangers under the same roof! One afternoon, after a particularly heated argument about her curfew(宵禁令), Emily stormed into her room, slamming the door behind her. She threw herself onto her bed, tears streaming down her face. She couldn’t understand why her parents were so unreasonable. She was almost15, after all, and her friends were allowed to stay out later. Why couldn’t her parents trust her? As she lay there, her anger slowly gave way to calm. At that time, Emily’s phone buzzed. It was a message from her mother, asking if she would go downstairs to have dinner. Buzzing again! It was a message from Dad, which read, “Emily, we love you very much, and we only want what’s best for you. We know you’ re growing up, and we want to respect your independence, but we also need to know you’ re safe.” Emily hesitated but decided it was time to clear the air. When she entered the dining room, she found her parents sitting at the table, looking as upset as she felt. Dinner had been served on the table, with a bowl of chocolate cake, her favorite, specially placed in front of her. Emily felt a wave of warmth flooding over her. Paragraph 1: She realized that her parents were trying, and she should also make some efforts.. ____________________ ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Paragraph 2: Over the next few weeks, Emily noticed things changed amazingly. ______________________________ ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 试题 第3页(共8页) 试题 第4页(共8页) 试题 第5页(共8页) 试题 第6页(共8页) 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $英语听力第一节听下面5段对话。 I don't know what to do with Jessica. D 22. C 23. 根据文章Build Their Confidence部分中“The more that you can assist your teen in developing positive behavioral and life skills, the more confident they will be when they are a part of a community on their own.(你越能帮助青少年培养积极的行为习惯和生活技能,他们在日后独自融入社会群体时就会越自信)”可知,父母可以通过帮助青少年提高积极的技能来帮助他们建立自信,故选D。 22. 根据文章Model Conflict Resolution(解决)部分中“Help them work on “fighting fair” and recognizing when to take a break from an argument to cool off.(帮助他们学会“理性争吵”,并意识到何时该从争论中抽身出来冷静一下)”可知,青少年应该找到正确的方法来处理冲突,包括公平地争吵、在争吵时适时休战冷静下来,因此,青少年应该自己找到正确的方法来解决冲突,故选C。 23. 根据文章Help Connect Them部分中“When they serve others in their community, they will feel more invested in the group’s well-being and be more open to making connections with others.(当他们在社区中为他人服务时,会对所在群体的福祉产生更强烈的投入感,也更愿意与他人建立联系)”可知,当青少年为所在社区的其他人服务时,会对这个群体的福祉更有归属感,也会更乐于与他人建立联系。选项D“Do some cleaning with peers for the needed(和同龄人一起为有需要的人进行清洁工作)”既体现了青少年参与社区活动,通过为有需要的人提供帮助,增强了他们对社区的责任感和归属感 ,又能在与同龄人合作的过程中提升人际交往等能力,因此文章中建议进行和同伴一起打扫卫生这样的社区活动,故选D。 B “Who says it’s Father’s Day?” my son says to me, with the questioning angry look of someone who’s been told they have extra tax to pay. B 25. D 26. A 27. 根据文章第一段““Well, the world does,” I tell him, suddenly self-conscious. “It’s a special day for daddies.”(“好吧,世界知道。”我告诉他,突然有点难为情。“对爸爸们来说,这是一个特别的日子。”)”及第二段“Something about this—I can’t think what—comes out sounding quite desperate and he looks at me as if I’ve just suggested he prove his love for me with a face tattoo(纹身).(关于这件事—我想不出是什么—听起来很绝望,他看着我,好像我刚刚建议他用脸上的纹身来证明他对我的爱)”可知,当和儿子解释父亲节时,作者有一些尴尬和难为情,故选B。 25. 根据文章第三段“This is his fifth Father’s Day, so I can’t help feeling slightly wounded that the concept hasn’t stuck with him. I also can’t help noting that he has never had any such issue with Mother’s Day, which has always seemed to him like common sense.(这是他的第五个父亲节了,所以我忍不住感到有点受伤,因为他没有坚持这个概念。我也不得不指出,他对母亲节从来没有任何这样的问题,这对他来说一直是常识)”可推知,儿子对父亲节没有概念,但是却记得母亲节,因此,儿子更认同母亲节而不是父亲节,故选D。 26. 推理判断题。根据文章第五段““So, will all daddies get a Father’s Day?” he asks. “Yes,” I reply, “and this isn’t new—it’s every year!” I attempt to regulate my voice/offence, but also make it very clear I haven’t made this idea up on the spot by myself. “You’ve been doing it since you were born. And it’s been around longer than that. I get things for Granddad every year, too.”(“那么,所有的爸爸都会有父亲节吗?”他问道。“是的,”我回答,“而且这不是新的—每年都是!”我试图调整我的声音/冒犯,但也非常清楚地表明,这不是我自己当场编造的想法。“你一出生就在做这件事。它存在的时间比那还长。我每年也给爷爷买东西。”)”可知,作者提及自己给爷爷买东西,是为了说明父亲节自己也要给父亲庆祝,是为了给一年一度的父亲节庆祝活动正名,故选A。 27. 主旨大意题。根据文章倒数第二段““You could buy me something, too ...” I begin, but he is no longer listening, running to grab coloured paper and glittery pens. Not wishing to see this tribute to myself a whole week early, I smile and tell him I really shouldn’t be watching and get up to leave him to it.(“你也可以给我买点东西……”我开始说,但他不再听了,跑去抓彩纸和闪闪发光的笔。我不想提前一周看到他对我的致敬,我笑着告诉他我真的不应该看,然后站起来让他自己发挥)”及最后一段““Yes!” he says, just in time for me to see he’s actually writing “Dear Granddad” on the page. “Don’t tell him!”(“是的,”他说,正好让我看到他真的在纸上写了“亲爱的爷爷”。“别告诉他!”)”可知,全文讲述了作者告诉儿子父亲节也是一年一度的节日,需要给父亲庆祝,但儿子最后却给爷爷做了一张卡片,因此,C选项“我儿子似乎对为我庆祝父亲节这件事不太上心。”可以最好的概括全文,故选C。 C A quarrel at home may result in you falling ill. D 29. B 30. C 31. 由第一段的“Wang Xiaoyu, Senior 2 girl from Xichang, Sichuan Province fainted in class when she heard her classmates quarrel at the top of their voices.(来自四川省西昌市的高二女生王晓雨在课堂上突然晕倒了,当时她听到同学们在大声争吵)”可知,王晓雨晕倒的直接原因是同学们在班级激烈争吵,故选D。 29. 由第一段的“Wang Xiaoyu, Senior 2 girl from Xichang, Sichuan Province fainted in class when she heard her classmates quarrel at the top of their voices. Quarrels between her parents also put her into a coma.(来自四川省西昌市的高二女生王晓雨在课堂上听到同学们大声争吵时突然晕倒了。她父母之间的争吵也让她陷入了coma)”可知,划线词所在的句子的前一句中fainted(晕倒)一词表明,父母的争吵也会让她陷入昏迷,因此coma也是昏迷之意,故选B。 30. 推理判断题。由第四段中的“Ferrer’s research also found that if teenagers feel they get little attention from their parents, they are more likely to get sick.(费雷尔的研究还发现,如果青少年觉得父母对他们关注不够,他们就更有可能生病)”可知,青少年如缺少父母关注,更可能得病。 通读全文,特别是第二段内容““We don’t get sick or stay well by ourselves,” says Dr. Robert Ferrer from the US. Ferrer shows that family relationships may explain about 25% of health problems in his recent research.(美国的罗伯特·费雷尔医生表示:“我们不会自己患病或保持健康。”费雷尔在其近期的研究中指出,家庭关系能够解释约 25% 的健康问题)”可知,本文由王晓雨因身患抑郁而在同学或家人争吵之时晕倒的个案导入,介绍了不良的家庭关系(包括父母之间的争吵及对孩子的忽略)对子女健康状况的影响。在最后一段中指出家人的一个小小的改善会产生很大的作用。由此可知,作者想借本文说明的是:幸福的家庭使我们健康,故选B。 D Researchers from the Yale Child Study Center collected 21 days of daily diaries from parents and teens from151 families. 32. D 33. A 34. D 35. ______________________________ ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】 She realized that her parents were trying, and she should also make some efforts. ______________________________ ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 原创精品资源学科网独家享有版权,侵权必究!1 4 / 12 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $
