教学过程
Step 1 检查回家作业的落实情况。
各组学生在班级中表演本组编制的对话。
Step 2 完成 Writing 板块的任务。
1. 学生开展“头脑风暴”,讨论问题 What disasters may take place in our city? 教师将
学生的讨论结果板书在黑板上。如:
Floods typhoons

2. 学生阅读练习 A 的指令语和新闻报道,然后回答下列问题。学生认读和理解单词missing。
· What happened to Garden City last weekend? (A typhoon hit it.)
· How many people were killed because of the typhoon? (Three.)
· How many people lost their homes in the typhoon? (About 2,000.)
· What do you think of the typhoon homeless. (Dangerous./ Terrible. ...)
3. 学生以小组为单位,讨论着则新闻报道包含的信息,然后完成下表。
What happened?
A typhoon hit Garden City.
What are the problems caused?
· Three people were killed and one person is missing.
· The typhoon has made about 2,000 people homeless.
What can you do to help?
· to donate and help raise money for the people in Garden City
· to donate things the people in Garden City need most, such as food, clean water, clothes and tents

4. 学生根据练习B的内容提示,撰写一则通告。学生认读和理解单词fellow。
5. 学生相互交流作文。教师进行点评。

学生根据主阅读篇章的内容,完成下表,列出写作提纲,然后在课后完成这则通告。
