After this we all sat down in the living room. Dad sat in his armchair, Nana in her chair by the stove, and Mum, my brothers and me on the sofa. There was always 5 popcorn for everyone to enjoy.
The funny thing is I can’t really remember a single one of the programmes that we watched on TV on those nights. What I can remember clearly, however, is the 6 of the popcorn, the warmth of the bowl on my legs, the delicious taste of it, and most of all the joy I felt with my family. I felt so 7 , so safe, and so happy. There with them all seemed right with the world. We didn’t have a huge house, a lot of money, or even expensive 8 from the store but we had love and that was all we needed.
I think it is those little, shared 9 of love that give life meaning. They are our gifts to each other. They are the only things we will take with us when we grow up. Cherish (珍惜) every one of your family. 10 your life with them.
