It gives the viewers an amazing show of bright sparks(火 花) that look like a tree canopy(树冠). Yu County, once an important army base, has a long history of Dashuhua. Dashuhua dates back to an ancient industry that developed here—making weapons (武 器 ). In their daily practices, the blacksmiths(铁匠) found that melted(熔化了 的) iron faling onto a cold wal burst into wonderful sparks. According to Yang Yingying, the guide at the local Shuhua Square for the performance, it became a local performance traditionaly held during festivals to pray(祈祷) for peace and good harvests. Dashuhua was included in the national intangible cultural heritage(非物质文化遗产) list in May, 2021. It comes from Nuanquan Town. Historicaly, it was performed on the 14th day of the Chinese New Year, announcing the Lantern Festival. Today, performances are also staged on weekends and during festivals to serve a growing number of tourists. Wang De, a 61-year-old blacksmith and inheritor(继承人) of Dashuhua in Nuanquan, has been creating the wonderful show for over 40 years. Having passed through hundreds of years, the art is a family tradition that Wang hopes wil continue with his children. “It takes two hours to prepare for a performance. Before the performance, we need to go through several steps to make careful preparations,” Wang said. A typical performance includes a team of 12, with four performers taking the stage. It is the first day when I try not to use my phone. I reach toward the bedside table. My phone isn􀆳t there. I feel kind of bored. I􀆳ve only been awake for a few seconds. No news round-up with breakfast. No weather forecast. I have no choice but to look out of the window: It􀆳s the early hours of a beautiful day. I get on my bike. I􀆳m on my way to leading middle school students at a school I􀆳ve never been to to a writer􀆳s workshop, so I bring a map of Paris with me, just in case. At the first traffic light, I put my hand into my pocket, checking for my phone. Have I done that at every light over the past few years? Possibly. A At the school, I know that these kids, born in the 2000s, don􀆳t remember life before the Internet. B As I chat with them, I􀆳m not thinking about the emails piling up(堆积) in the phone I don􀆳t have. C But during breaks, I feel in my pockets. D It􀆳s a subconscious(下意识的) action. Afterwards, I realise I􀆳ve survived much of the day offline. There is nothing wrong with me. Back at home, I spend an hour reading a novel before sitting down . I manage to produce more than 10 lines before my mind starts to work slowly, and the phone interests me. It􀆳s moments like this when I would normaly reach for my phone and check the news to find out if something has happened in the world in the last seven minutes. We know how it goes. You get your phone for a special reason, and then get caught up in a social media post. When you put your phone down, you wonder why you picked it up in the first place. But not today. When I can􀆳t help but pick up my phone, I have a piece of chocolate. That􀆳s what􀆳s known as compensating(补偿). After my son comes home, he asks, “Dad, do you manage to keep away from a phone?” “Yep, no problem at al,” I say, teling him something that is not true. “But why are you doing this?” he asks. He wonders why an adult would wilingly give up using the phone. I fal asleep on the sofa, my book on my chest, with a little less blue light in my body and without a last look at my emails. Why would I try to give up my phone? (素材来源: Reader􀆳s Digest) 根据短文内容,完成下列任务。(每题答案 不超过6个词) 1.
