happiness and thanks for a good life. The Yi people want to get more people to

Dragon boat racing is a famous tradition in China and also the most exciting part of the Dragon Boat Festival. But paddling(划桨) a dragon boat is not easy. When I joined a team, they told me it would take at least three years to become a good paddler. Correct movement and teamwork are the keys to a team’s success.
Because of the bad weather, the races were put off until National Day. Finally, the big day came. About 40 teams took part in it. I didn’t expect our team to win. This was the first competition for most of us. And only twenty teams could go to the next competition. It was a challenge for us. The big waves( 波浪) almost turned us over. Paddling against the waves was hard, but we crossed the finishing line and surprisingly, we entered the next stage of the game.
22
We faced strong competitors in the semifinals. However, in dragon boat racing,
no one ever stops paddling, no matter what happens! So I kept paddling, trying my
best to keep pace(节奏) with the team. We fell behind the other boats, but we didn’t
lose hope. We continued until the last minute!
Although we didn’t go any further, we had never imagined we could make it
into the top six. What a surprising feeling! If we’ve tried our best, we will never
regret(遗憾) .
36. How long would it take to become a good paddler?
37. Why were the boat races put off?
38. How many teams took part in the dragon boat racing?
39. How did the writer feel about his team’s success?
40. Will you feel regretful if you lose in a competition? Why or why not?
At least three years.
Because of the bad weather. /Because the weather was bad.
About 40.
Surprised.
No. Because I have tried my best. (开放性试题 ,言 之有理即可)
