一、导入设计
导入一 猜人物导入
Show students a picture of a person and invite a student to use English to describe the characteristics of the person.Others guess who he/she is.
导入二 图片导入
Show two similar pictures that also have many differences and ask students to observe carefully and find out the differences.
T:Look at the two pictures.Can you find out the differences between them?
导入三 游戏导入
1.The teacher writes some keywords describing the characteristics of friends on the blackboard,such as “loyal”,“funny”,“helpful”,and “talented”.
2.After students see these keywords,they are asked to quickly think of their friends and consider which friend best matches these characteristics.
3.Ask students about their ideas of friends.
T:Look at the words.Which friend of yours can you think of?
S1:…
T:What should a friend be like?
S2:He must be funny.
T:You mean a friend should be the same as you? So today we are going to talk about this question:Are you similar to or different from your friends?
二、活动设计
活动一 猜猜他是谁/是什么
1.Think of a person or a thing in mind, and then ask others to guess by asking questions.The questions can only be about the similarities and differences between this person or thing and other known people or things.
2.Answer “yes” or “no” according to the questions.The students gradually narrow down the target based on the answers and finally try to guess the correct answer.
T:I'm thinking about a person.Can you guess who I am thinking about now? Ask me with questions like “Is he as tall as Yao Ming?” and “Is it a fruit just like an apple?”.
活动二 小组辩论
1.Each group draws lots to determine whether they will be the affirmative or the negative side.The affirmative side will debate that friends should be similar,while the negative side will argue that friends should be different.Students will discuss in groups to collect information about their topic.
2.One person will present the team's main argument,another will provide supplementary points and summarize the view,and the rest of the members will present supporting evidence.The debaters take turns to speak.
活动三 制作思维导图
1.Distribute a set of comparative pictures to each group.Group members find out the similarities and differences according to the content of the pictures,using comparative adjectives or descriptive words to express them accurately.
2.Each group uses a mind map to show the similarities and
differences discussed,and then shares the results with the whole class.
3.Other groups ask questions or make supplements according to
the report,and finally,the teacher gives comments.
