2. What can you learn from the story?
One friend quickly climbed up a tree. The other friend lay down on the ground and pretended to be dead.

Simon: What do you think is the best way to make friends?
Daniel: l think one of the best ways to make friends is to join a club.
Millie: Yes, l agree. When you join a club, you’ll meet people with the same interests as you.
Daniel: True. That way, you’ll have a lot to talk about. But you’ll need to be brave to speak to other people at the club.
Simon: Yes! It’s important to be friendly, and to smile at people.
Millie: Another good place to make friends is the school dining hall. You can sit next to someone and start a cheerful chat with them.
Simon: Yes, or you can ask a friend to introduce you to someone else.
Daniel: That’s a good idea! But it takes time to make friends. So, don’t give up if it doesn’t happen quickly.
Millie: That’s true.

You can ask questions to show that you're interested in what they’re saying. Body language can also help show that you’re listening. Try to look at your friends when they’re talking and nod your head from time to time. Second, be a cheerful person.
