教学过程
1. Warming - up (5 minutes)
Greet the students as usual.
Show some pictures of beautiful natural scenery, such as green forests, clean rivers and blue skies on the PPT. Then ask students: "What do you think of these pictures? Do you want to live in such a beautiful place?" Lead students to express their feelings and expectations for a beautiful environment.
2. Pre - listening (10 minutes)
New Words Teaching
Present the new words and phrases on the PPT one by one. Teach students the pronunciation, meaning and usage through pictures, real objects (if possible) and simple examples. For example, when teaching "recycle", show a picture of a recycling bin and say: "We can put used paper, bottles and cans into the recycling bin. We recycle them to make new things." Let students repeat several times.
Organize a word - guessing game. Describe the meaning of a word in English, and ask students to guess which word it is. For example: "You put something on the ground, and it makes the place dirty. What is this action?" (The answer is "litter"). This can help students better understand and remember the new words.
Introduction to the Song
Tell students: "Today we are going to learn a song named 'A Green Song'. This song is about how we can make our neighbourhood green. It is very interesting and easy to sing. Let's listen to it together later." Briefly introduce the theme and background of the song to arouse students' interest.
3. While - listening (15 minutes)
First Listening
Play the song "A Green Song" for the first time. Let students just listen carefully and try to get a general idea of the song. After listening, ask some simple questions, such as: "What is the song mainly about?" "Can you hear some words we just learned in the song?" Let students answer in simple English.
Second Listening
Play the song again. This time, show the lyrics of the song on the PPT. Ask students to listen and follow the lyrics at the same time, and circle the new words and phrases they hear. After listening, check the circled words with the students and explain the parts they don't understand.
Third Listening
Play the song for the third time. Let students sing along with the music softly. Pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation. Encourage students who can sing better to lead the others.
4. Post - listening (10 minutes)
Group Discussion
Divide students into groups of four or five. Give each group a topic related to environmental protection, such as "What can we do to save water in our daily lives?" or "How to reduce waste at school?". Let students discuss in groups using the learned words and sentence patterns. Each group chooses a representative to report the discussion results to the whole class.
Role - play
Create some situations about environmental protection, such as a dialogue in the park where one person is littering and the other is stopping him/her, or a conversation among friends about how to recycle things at home. Ask students to act out these situations in pairs or small groups. They should use the English they have learned in the role - play. This can not only consolidate students' knowledge but also improve their oral English ability and communication skills.
5. Summary and Homework (5 minutes)
Summary
Summarize the new words, phrases and sentence patterns learned in this class with the students. Review the main content of the song and the importance of environmental protection. Ask students to share what they have learned and their feelings about environmental protection in this class.
Homework
Ask students to sing the song "A Green Song" to their parents at home and teach their parents the new words and phrases related to environmental protection.
Let students draw a picture about a green neighbourhood they dream of, and write a short passage (about 5 - 8 sentences) to describe it using the English they have learned. They can share their works in the next class.
教学反思
After this class, I think the following aspects have achieved good results. First, through the warming - up activities, students' interest in learning has been effectively mobilized, and they are actively involved in classroom discussions. The pre - listening part, especially the new words teaching method, makes students master new words more quickly. During the while - listening process, playing the song multiple times with different requirements helps students gradually understand the song. The post - listening group discussion and role - play activities provide students with opportunities to use English, and most students can actively participate.
However, there are also some areas that need improvement. In the group discussion, some students are still a bit shy and do not actively express their opinions. In the future, more encouragement and guidance should be given to these students. Also, when teaching new words, although various methods are used, the time for students to practice using new words independently is still a bit short. In the next class, more time can be set aside for students to make sentences or have short dialogues with new words. In general, this teaching plan needs to be continuously adjusted and optimized according to students' actual learning situations to achieve better teaching effects.
