Unit 1 School life-B School activities (Speaking) This speaking lesson is from Unit 1 “School life” in the 2024 Shanghai Education Edition (Five - Four Academic System) for Grade Six. However, in the practice part, some students still had difficulty in distinguishing the usage of “be going to...” and “will...”. In the future, more examples and exercises should be provided to strengthen their understanding. The pair - work and group - work activities effectively improved students' speaking ability, but some groups were a little shy when performing in front of the class. More encouragement and opportunities for public speaking should be given. The production part, writing a short passage, helped students to consolidate the learned knowledge, but some students made grammar mistakes. It is necessary to pay more attention to grammar correction and writing guidance in the following classes.
