1. difference  n.差别；不同之处       different  adj.不同的

e.g. Their tastes are different from mine. 他们的爱好与我的不同。

2. connect  v.连接    connection   n.关系；连接

e.g. I don't see the connection between the two events. 我看不出这两件事之间有什么联系。

三、          课文精读

Topic: What is your school day like?

Where do you live? What is your school day like? What do you like most about your school?

I’m from Espoo, Finland. My school day starts at 9 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m. We have classes like Maths, Dance and English.

In my school we do a lot of projects. Now we’re studying Mexico. We talk about the differences between Mexico and Finland in class. We also make a game about the differences and then play it. In this way we study History, ICT and Art all at the same time. I LOVE this way of learning!

There is a fifteen-minute break after every lesson. During the break, I go outside and play. At noon, we take a lunch break. The breaks connect us！

四、          语言点/句型

1. start   v.开始（做某事）。start 后如果要接动词，主要有两种情况，它们的

意思基本相同。

start +带to的动词不定式

I started to read this book yesterday. 我昨天才开始读这本书。

start + 动词的ing 形式

I started reading this book yesterday， 我昨天才开始读这本书。

 

2. group   n.组；群；批；类

You five can work in a group and talk about the problem together.

你们五个可以作为一个小组一起讨论这个问题。

常用a group of 表示“一组；一群”的意思。如：

A group of children are outside the door. 一群孩子正在门外。

 

3. What is your school day like？你在学校的一天是怎样度过的？

 “What... like？”常用于询问“…情况如何？”。如：

---What’s the weather like today？今天天气如何？

---It’s fine.天气不错。

---What is your English teacher like？你的英语老师怎么样？

---She is very nice. 她人很和善。

 

4. What do you like most about your school？你最喜欢学校的什么？

most 常表示程度上的“最大；最多；最高”等含义，用于修饰句子中的动词。如：

Whose work do you enjoy most？你最欣赏谁的作品？（修饰动词 enjoy）

Susan wants a bicycle for her birthday most. 苏珊最想要的生日礼物是一辆自行车。（修饰动词 wants）

 

5. We talk about the differences between Mexico and Finland in class. 我们在课堂上讨论墨西哥与芬兰的差别。

talk about 意为“谈论；讨论”。如：
