I had many feelings today. I was excited to see my classmates and teachers. But my heart went down when Miss Chan, our head teacher, said that Mark and Beth, two students from England, would spend three months with us. I worried that I had to speak English so much! But at the end of the school day, I felt happy.
Mark is great! His English is clear and easy to listen to. The other English student, Beth, is of great help. There were lots of things to do on the first day. Beth helped Miss Chan put up all the notices(通知). Of course, I offered my help, too. I translated(翻译) some of the notices for her.

Before the welcome party this afternoon, Beth and I talked for a while. We found that we were similar to each other in many ways. Mark sang an English song and played the guitar at the party. We all thought he was wonderful. When the bell rang(响) to end the first school day, no one wanted to leave.
When I went back home, I spoke English with my parents. That surprised them. I was really afraid of speaking English before. People around us can actually help us without knowing it.
It was a really happy day! I hope our friendship can continue, even after they go back to England.
