五、阅读表达。
Food words are interesting. Take “nut(坚果)” as an example. We have many kinds of nuts, like peanuts and walnuts. Peanuts grow under the ground, not like apples that grow on trees. People use peanuts to make peanut butter(酱).
Then there is “bean(豆)”. Beans come in different colours. Red beans can be used to make sweet bean soup. Green beans are long and we can cook them in many ways. We can stir-fry(炒) them or put them in soup.
“Jam(果酱)” is also a fun food word. It is made from fruits, like apple jam. People usually put jam on bread. It makes the bread taste better.
