1. Why does Matt think that a good friend is like a mirror?
Matt thinks a good friend is like a mirror because he believes you can understand people by knowing their friends.
2. In what ways is Stephen similar to Matt?
Stephen and Matt are similar in three ways:
► They both love sports (e.g., badminton).
► They are both serious.
► They both enjoy reading (Matt reads more history books; Stephen reads more novels, but they share books).
3. Why is Matt getting better at badminton?
Matt is getting better at badminton because Stephen plays better, so Stephen always wins their matches. This makes Matt try harder during practice.
4. Why is Diana glad to have an honest friend?
Because her friend Zhang Yong isn’t afraid to give direct opinions—especially when Diana makes a mistake. Diana knows this honesty helps her grow, even if she’s less straightforward than him.
