I. Teaching Objectives
1. Knowledge Objectives
Students will master vocabulary related to healthy eating (e.g., balanced diet, vegetables, donuts, salad, eating habits) and understand the meaning of “You are what you eat”.
Students will be able to understand the conversation about diet, judge true or false, answer comprehension questions, conduct interviews about classmates’ eating habits, and practice pronunciation of related word groups.

Students listen to the conversation between Jenny and Danny, then judge true (T) or false (F):

Play the audio twice if needed, then check answers as a class to ensure comprehension of the conversation.
Activity 2: Key Information Extraction

Students do “Listen and repeat” for pronunciation groups (e.g., ou /ʊ/ would should; er /ə/ yesterday later; ea /e/ health bread; tr /tr/ truth try; ts /ts/ donuts habits), write more words in each group to reinforce, and practice correct pronunciation.
Activity 2: Lesson Summary & Homework
Teacher recaps key vocabulary (healthy eating terms), key sentence patterns for diet discussion, and the importance of balanced diets.
