Step 3 While⁃reading
1.Show the pictures of new words and phrases on the screen.Let students read and try to remember them.
2.Play the recording for the first time.Ask students to listen to the article and know what the article is about.
3.Teach the article sentence by sentence and explain the language points.
4.Play the recording for the second time.Have students read the article together.Ask them to pay attention to the pronunciation.
Step 4 Work on A
1.Let students complete the chart in A with the information in the article.
2.Check and correct the answers.
Step 5 Work on B
1.Ask students to read the article again and answer the questions in B.
2.Check and correct the answers.

本课时是阅读课的第一课时,课中提供了让学生感兴趣的话题和情境,容易让学生形成共鸣,学生也有话可说。在本课时的教学中应该以学生为中心,突出学生在教学活动中的主体地位,同时注重培养学生的英语阅读素养。
