◇教学过程◇
Step 1 Leading in
1.Greet the class.
2.Ask students to share their first day in junior high or their most unforgettable lessons.
Step 2 Work on Activity 1
1.Have students complete the questionnaire.
2.Have students discuss the answers and relate them to the reading passage.
3.Encourage students to share their thoughts with the class.
Step 3 Work on Activity 2 and 3
1.Have students read the passage first and underline the unfamiliar words and phrases.
2.After reading,ask students to discuss what the writer did in his first lesson.
3.Ask students to choose the main idea of the passage in Activity 3.
4.Check the answer.
5.Use vocabulary cards or PPT to introduce and explain key words and expressions related to daily activities and school life.
6.Ask students to take notes of the new words and their meanings.
Step 4 Work on Activity 4
1.Have students read the passage again and complete the summary with the words and expressions from the passage.
2.Check the answers.
3.Have some students retell the passage.
