一、单元内容分析
本单元的话题是“欢迎来到初中”,属于“人与自我”主题范畴,涉及“生活与学习”主题群。这个单元主要围绕初中学生应如何为开学做准备和适应初中校园生活展开。本单元主要由Get ready、Know your school、Get to know each other和Make a wishing tree这几个课时组成。
Get ready主要介绍了学生应如何为开学第一天做准备,包括提前准备学习用品和开学第一天穿着;Know your school主要介绍了新学校的设施场所、地点及其使用功能;Get to know each other主要介绍了入学时新老师和新同学之间如何相互介绍自己;Make a wishing tree主要介绍了学生应如何一起玩“制作许愿树”的游戏,彼此分享自己对初中校园生活的期待。
二、单元教学目标
1.学生能够运用本单元的词汇和表达,介绍自己如何为开学做准备和适应初中校园生活。
2.学生能够掌握可数名词和不可数名词、基数词和冠词的基本用法。
3.学生能够了解一般将来时be going to/will结构。
4.学生能够运用一般现在时并掌握单数第三人称动词形式变化规则。
5.学生能够了解there be句型的基本用法;
6.学生能够掌握简单句中的三种基本句型。
7.学生能够了解形容词的基本形式。
三、单元重难点
1.重点:
(1)让学生运用本单元的词汇和表达来介绍自己的初中校园生活,激发学生对初中校园生活的憧憬并进行合理规划,培养积极向上的生活态度。
(2)让学生掌握可数名词和不可数名词、基数词和冠词的基本用法。
(3)让学生了解一般将来时和一般现在时的定义及基本用法。
(4)帮助学生了解新学校,并通过一些课堂集体活动帮助学生了解彼此,适应校园新生活。
2.难点:
(1)让学生掌握单数第三人称动词形式变化规则。
(2)让学生掌握简单句中的三种基本句型。
(3)让学生能够了解形容词的基本形式。
(4)让学生能够在新同学面前自信地进行自我介绍。

Step 1 Leading in
1.Greet the class.
2.Introduce the topic of the class by asking the students some questions.For example,“Boys and girls,when did you pack your schoolbag? Do you wear new clothes today for the new term and what do you wear? What have you done to prepare for junior high school?”
Step 2 Work on Activity 1
1.Ask the students to match the words and expression with the things in the picture.
2.Check the answers together in class.
Step 3 Work on Activity 2
1.Ask the students to read the conversation in Activity 2 and fill in the blanks with the words above.Tell them to pay close attention to the singular and plural forms of nouns.
2.Play the radio and ask the students to check the answers while listening.
3.Check the answers together in class.
4.Go over the usage of singular and plural nouns,especially the form of irregular plural nouns.Do some exercises in class to help the students understand and use the grammar rules correctly.
5.Play the radio again and ask the students to pay attention to the pronunciation of the conversation.Lead the students to read the conversation loudly.
6.Ask the students to work in pairs and role⁃play the conversation.Invite some students to show their conversation in class.
Step 4 Work on Activity 3
1.Play the radio and ask the students to fill in the blanks while listening.
2.Check the answers in class.
3.Explain the usage of numbers and articles.Then do some exercises in class to help the students understand and use the grammar rules correctly.
Step 5 Work on Activity 4
1.Ask the students to work in pairs and talk about their school things.
2.Invite some students to show their conversions in class.
Step 6 Work on Activity 5
1.Ask students to look at the picture carefully and match the subjects with the textbooks.
2.Check the answers in class.
Step 7 Work on Activity 6 and 7
1.Ask students to read the conversation in Activity 6 first and think about what subjects Li Ming and Li Meng like best.
2.Lead the whole class to read the conversation together.Then invite some students to role⁃play the conversation and correct their pronunciation.
3.Explain the language points in the conversation.
4.Ask students to work in pairs and talk about their subjects at school.

1.Show the pictures of different colours on screen one by one.Point at the picture and ask the students what colour it is.
2.Show the pictures of different clothes on screen one by one.Point at the picture and ask the students what it is.
Step 9 Work on Activity 10 and 11
1.Play the video.Ask students to listen and choose.
2.Check the answers in class.
3.Lead the whole class to read the conversation together.Then invite some students to role⁃play the conversation and correct their pronunciation.
4.Explain the language points in the conversation.
5.Ask students to work in pairs and talk about what they are going to wear this weekend.

这是学生们入学的第一节英语课,而且话题与学生们的生活实际紧密相关,学生们的学习热情十分高涨。老师课前一定要提前准备一些有趣的活动,让学生们领略到初中英语的魅力,同时带领学生回顾和巩固一些在小学学习阶段就接触到的语法知识。
