◇教学过程◇
Step 1 Leading in
1.Greet the class.
2.Show some pictures on the PPT.Then ask the students to practise the conversation in pairs.
S1:What’s her name?
S2:Her name is...
S1:Where is she from?
S2:She is from...
S1:How old is she?
S2:She is...
Step 2 Work on 1a
1.Lead the students to look at two students’ photo boards.
2.Then ask the students to label the photos with the words in the box.
3.Ask the students to guess some information about the two students.
4.Ask some students to say something about the two students.
Step 3 Work on 1b-1c
1.Ask the students to read the two students’ posts silently,and then match the students with their photo boards.
2.Check the answers and ask students to read the posts again and complete the table in 1c with the information from the posts.
3.Ask the students to underline any unfamiliar words or phrases.
4.After reading,ask the students to discuss the main points of the posts.
5.Use vocabulary cards or PPT to introduce and explain key vocabulary related to daily activities and school life.
6.Ask the students to take notes or highlight the new words and their meanings.
Step 4 Work on 1d
1.Let the students look through the posts again quickly and try to complete the table by comparing either Pauline or Peter with themselves.
2.Ask some students to share their information in 1d.
Step 5 Work on 2a-2b
1.Ask the students to write some sentences about themselves using the structures in 2a.
2.Once students have completed the task in 2a,ask some students to share their information.
3.Encourage the students to use the information in 2a to complete his or her reply to Pauline or Peter to make friends.
4.Ask some students to share their replies.
◇教学反思◇
本课时是阅读课。学生以小组为单位进行活动,在较真实的语境中锻炼口语和写作能力。本节课有所不足的是课堂练习时间较少,课后学生可多做练习。
