Step 1 Leading in
1.Greet the class.Check the homework.
2.Show the students the picture of 1a.Let the students describe what they can see in the picture.
3.Ask the students what are in the right places and what are in the wrong places.
4.Choose two to three students to show their opinions.
Step 2 Work on 1a
1.Teach the words in,on,under,and make examples for students with books and desks.
2.Ask the students to describe where the things are in the picture.
3.Ask the students to fill in the blanks and check the answers together.
Step 3 Work on 1b
1.Let the students look through the two conversations and read by themselves.
2.Teach the difficult words and sentences in the two conversations.Write them down on the blackboard.
3.Ask the students to read the conversations in pairs.
4.Choose two pairs to read the two conversations.Give them praise and advice.
Step 4 Work on 1c
1.Ask the students to read the conversations in 1b together.
2.Ask the students to choose the correct answers in 1c and check the answers together.
3.Let the students read the sentences together.
Step 5 Work on 1d
1.Ask the students to read the sentences at the top of the chart.Pay attention to “is” and “are”,“It” and “They”.
2.Let the students write about their own things to fill the blanks.
3.Invite some students to show their answers.

本节课学习了用方位介词in、on、under描述位置的知识,并通过听、说、读、写的课堂练习对这一知识进行了巩固与加强。但询问物品的位置是一个新知识点,学生刚接触,不能很快掌握。课后应让学生多做练习,尽快熟悉。
