Step 1 Leading in
Greet the class and briefly talk with the students about their primary school.
Step 2 Work on 1a
1.Let the students match the names in the picture with the faces and write them down.
2.Check the answers and lead them to read these names.
Step 3 Work on 1b
1.Communicate with the students in class like this:
T:Hello,...
Ss:Hello,...
T:Hi,...
Ss:Hi,...
T:Good morning,...
Ss:Good morning,...
2.Get the students to work in pairs to greet each other with the expressions.
Step 4 Work on 2a-2b
1.Introduce the stories of 26 English letters.
2.Play the recording of 2a and get the students to read after the recording.
3.Let the students imitate what the teacher has taught and pay attention to the varieties of upper⁃case and lower⁃case English letters.
4.Play the recording of 2b.Let the students circle the letters they hear and check the answers.
5.Let some students come to the front,and write down the letters on the blackboard.Check with the whole class.
Step 5 Work on 2c-2d
1.Introduce yourself and say “I’m Ms/Mr...”.Explain the terms “Ms” and “Mr” in Chinese.
2.Play the recording of 2c and get the students to fill in the blanks with the correct sentences in the box.
3.Check the answers and let the students work in pairs to role⁃play the conversations in 2c.
4.Ask the students to finish the task of 2d and invite several pairs to role⁃play the conversations they make up.

本节课是和学生们的第一次接触,通过各种轻松愉快的活动、生动的口头语言以及肢体语言,学生对英语学习产生兴趣,老师也对学生有所了解,这是一个很好的开始。对于本节课的一些不足,将在今后的教学中不断改进。
