Purpose: Activate students' prior knowledge related to birthdays, arouse their interest in the topic, and naturally lead to the theme of "shopping for a birthday party" in this class. 2 Presentation (10 minutes) Vocabulary Teaching: Use the PPT to show pictures of new vocabulary words one by one, such as a picture of a person with a surprised expression for "surprise", a picture of various items for "something", a picture of a store with a "Sale" sign for "sale", etc. While showing the pictures, read the words aloud clearly and let students repeat after the teacher several times, paying attention to correct pronunciation. Write the new words on the blackboard, and explain the key points of each word, such as the pronunciation rules, word forms (for example, "sale" can be used in phrases like "on sale" and "for sale"), and some simple example sentences. Word - matching Game: Prepare some cards with words on one side and corresponding pictures on the other side. Divide students into pairs. Give each pair a set of cards. One student holds the cards with words facing up, and the other student tries to find the matching pictures. After they finish matching, they can exchange roles. The teacher walks around the classroom to monitor and provide help if necessary. Purpose: Through visual and auditory input, help students quickly understand and remember new vocabulary. The word - matching game can make the learning process more interesting and interactive, and strengthen students' memory of new words. 3 Listening (10 minutes) Pre - listening (2 minutes): Show students the picture in 2a on the PPT, and ask them some prediction questions: "Who are they in the picture?", "Where are they?", "What do they want to buy?" Let students think and answer in pairs. Purpose: Guide students to predict the content of the listening material through observing the picture and answering questions, so as to reduce the difficulty of listening and improve their listening efficiency. While - listening (5 minutes): Play the recording of the conversation in 2a for the first time. Let students listen carefully and fill in the blanks in 2a. After playing, ask several students to share their answers, and correct the answers together. Play the recording of the conversation again. This time, ask students to read the conversation and complete the table in 2b, which requires them to extract information such as item names, numbers, and prices. After they finish, check the answers as a class. Purpose: Train students' ability to capture key information while listening, and improve their listening comprehension ability through multiple - listening practice. Post - listening (3 minutes): Play the conversation recording for the third time. Let students listen carefully and pay attention to the intonation. Then ask students to role - play the conversation in pairs. The teacher can choose several pairs to come to the front of the classroom to show their role - play, and give them some positive feedback and suggestions on pronunciation and intonation. Purpose: Through role - playing, let students further understand the content of the conversation, imitate the intonation in the conversation, and improve their oral expression ability. 4 Practice (15 minutes) Activity in 2d: Show the list of items on the PPT, and explain the task to students: they need to categorize these items into three groups: "Drinks", "Food", and "Other things". Give some examples first, such as "milk" belongs to "Drinks", "cake" belongs to "Food", and "balloon" belongs to "Other things". Let students read the list of items in 2d carefully and independently categorize them in their books. Then ask them to think of some additional items related to birthday parties for each category, write them down, and share with their group members. Each group selects a representative to report their categorization results and the added items to the whole class. Purpose: Through categorizing items, help students further consolidate the newly learned vocabulary, and at the same time cultivate their logical thinking ability and classification ability. Shopping Conversation Practice: Divide students into groups of four. Each group is given a shopping list with some items on it, and they need to create a shopping conversation based on the list. One student acts as the shop assistant, and the other three students act as customers. They should use the learned sentence patterns such as "Can I help you?", "How much is/are...?", "What's the total?" in the conversation. Let the groups practice their conversations for a few minutes. Then ask several groups to come to the front of the classroom to perform their shopping conversations. After each group finishes, other students can ask questions or give suggestions. Purpose: Through group cooperation and practical conversation creation, improve students' ability to use the learned vocabulary and sentence patterns in real - life - like situations, and cultivate their cooperation spirit and communication ability. 5 Summary and Homework (5 minutes) Summary: Summarize the key vocabulary and sentence patterns learned in this class with students. Write them on the blackboard again, and ask students to read them aloud together to strengthen their memory. Review the process of listening, categorizing items and creating shopping conversations, emphasizing the importance of using English in practical situations. Homework: Ask students to make a shopping list for their own imagined birthday party, including at least 8 items, and then write a short passage to describe how they will buy these things, using the sentence patterns learned in class. Encourage students to have a shopping conversation with their parents in English at home, using the vocabulary and sentence patterns about shopping. 教学反思 After teaching this section, I found that the overall teaching process went smoothly. The lead - in activity successfully aroused students' interest in the topic, and they were actively involved in answering questions. The presentation of new vocabulary through pictures and games made it easier for students to understand and remember. However, in the listening part, some students still had difficulty in accurately capturing numbers, especially when the speed of the recording was a bit fast. In the future, more targeted listening exercises on numbers should be designed. During the practice activities, most students were able to cooperate well in groups and use the learned language to create conversations, but a few students were still a bit shy and passive. More encouragement and individual guidance should be given to these students to make them more actively participate in class activities. In general, through this class, students have basically mastered the key vocabulary and sentence patterns related to shopping for a birthday party, but there is still room for improvement in terms of students' language proficiency and practical application ability. 2 / 37 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $$
