Step 1  Lead-in

1. Talk about the question with the students.

What is a fairy tale?

A fairy tale is a story that often has characters like fairies（仙女）, dwarfs（小矮人）, giants（巨人） or mermaids（美人鱼）.

2. Think about it.

Ask the students to think about the following questions.

Do you like reading fairy tales?

Do you know any famous fairy tales? What are they?

1. Show some pictures and sentences to teach the students the new words of this lesson.
