•无中生有选项直接排除;
•人物心理:通过动作、表情推断(如“stared at the letter, hands trembling”→紧张)。
•情节发展:依据逻辑词(如“however”“eventually”)推导。
3.主旨大意题(占比15%)
•首尾句串联:首段引出主题,尾段升华(如“From this experience, I learned...”)。
•高频词串联:如“hope”“courage”为核心主题词。
五、备考建议
1.限时训练:每篇记叙文控制在8-10分钟,优先完成细节题。
2.高频词汇积累:
•情感类:determined(坚定)、conflicted(矛盾)、grateful(感激)。
•动作类:hesitate(犹豫)、glance at(瞥了一眼)。

In a little town, there was a clock tower that had stood for centuries. The clock tower was known for its perfect timekeeping, and was looked after by Mr. Pendulum, the town’s timekeeper.
One day, Mr. Pendulum decided to take on an apprentice (学徒). He chose a young boy named Oliver who had always been attracted by the clock tower. Oliver was excited but also nervous, knowing that keeping time was a responsibility (责任) of great importance. Mr. Pendulum taught Oliver everything he knew about the clock.

They then showed her a possible future, where she could achieve her dreams and find happiness. Emily was moved by the experience and left the clock tower with renewed hope. Oliver realized that the true power of the clock tower was not in keeping time, but in helping people find their way. He also learned that time was not something to be controlled, but something to be treasured.

“I need everyone to get into four teams.” she said. “Who would like to be a team leader?”
Cody raised his hand. He chose his friends Zack and Jessica to be on his team first. Next he chose Jada, who was a great runner.

Travel is like a box of chocolates—you never know what you’re going to get, especially when you are using a blind box plane ticket.
Fan Zhihua, who enjoys going wherever she wants and whenever she wants, bought her first blind box plane ticket in March last year. The 29-year-old went to Zhangye, Gansu Province. It’s a lesser-known place, but it actually brings surprises.
When Fan arrived in Zhangye, she found that she was able to share a car with a few other people. This allowed the travelers to save money, since many of the area’s tourist places are far away from each other. So Fan found a group of easy-going young women to join. They went some tourist places together, but everyone was free to choose their schedule (日程安排). “The best part of the trip is this way of travelling, free and fantastic,” Fan said.
She got more from the trip. Before that, Fan thought most of the natural scenery (风景) she saw in photos was over- beautified. However, her trip to Dunhuang changed her mind.
After a couple of days in Zhangye, the group decided to leave for Dunhuang. Fan was never a big fan of making travel plans, so she just went along. Fan and her travel pals went on a camel (骆驼) ride, and as they entered the desert, she was amazed at the scenery. “I couldn’t describe it in words. To be honest, I’m not a history lover, but when I was in the endless desert, it was amazing,” Fan said, “I felt like I had become Zhang Qian, traveling to Xiyu.”
Fan believes that life itself is a journey made up of long and short trips. “I think I was brought into this world to have as many experiences as possible and that I should make every day meaningful,” she added.

A young man went to visit the wisest man in a small village for some advice on how to become rich.
“Treasure is at the top of Yonder Mountain. Walk there to get it,” said the wise man. “And here is a log (圆木). You must carry it on your journey.”
The young man was not pleased with this sudden surprise. He thought it was a strange request, but he trusted the wise man. So he lifted that long and heavy log onto his shoulder and then set out.
The young man walked slowly under the weight of the log. Later, the young man met a woodsman (樵夫). “It looks like the log is pretty heavy. Would you like me to cut some of it to make it lighter?” asked the woodsman.
The young man agreed, so the woodsman cut the log in half. The young man carried one piece and continued to climb. Although the log was still heavy, he felt much easier.
When he was about to reach the top, he saw a huge gap (缺口) on the road. The gap was wide and deep. Getting across the gap was the only way to the top of the mountain.
Looking at the log, the young man thought out an idea—to lay the log across the gap. He placed one end of the log on one side of the gap. However, the log was too short to cover the distance (距离).
At that moment, the young man regretted cutting the log. He also understood something — one should think carefully before making decisions. Never play tricks (窍门) on the way to success.

When I was young, flowers filled my mom’s garden each spring. I never thought that Mom had done much about them behind the scenes (在幕后), until she shared her secret with me.
One day last November, Mom and I spent a whole morning planting flower bulbs. I dropped one in each hole and covered it over with soil. My fingers were numb (麻木的) by the time we finished. However, the ground looked just as flower bulb empty and flat as it had been before. Then Mom told me to wait. I didn’t only wait—I watched. I watched hopefully all through the winter...
On the last day of April, I went outside to find the garden full of colorful flowers. Our hard work paid off.
“My boy, tomorrow morning,” Mom said, “we will walk the neighborhood and leave a basket of flowers on each doorstep.”
“What?” I almost cried. “Are we selling our flowers?”
“Of course not,” she said excitedly. “In fact, nobody will even know they’re from us. We’ll leave them at our neighbors’ as a surprise. Doesn’t that sound fun?”
“To me, it doesn’t sound fun at all” I replied unwillingly. “They’re our flowers. We should keep them for ourselves!”
“Flowers are like kindness,” Mom said. “Their beauty is meant to be shared.”
Early the next morning, Mom woke me up. We brought the baskets and stopped near the first house. I took one basket, set it by the doorstep and rang the bell. Then we quickly ran away, ducked behind the trees and waited.
Finally, the door opened. A man came out, looking surprised. He picked up the flower basket and then smiled. Mom hugged me. I got a good feeling inside. Now I knew what she meant about beauty sharing. I couldn’t wait to get to the next house.

Meng Xiang was crazy about films and music during his childhood. When he started college, he dreamed of making films that could combine (结合) his love for storytelling and interest in music.
His biggest challenge came when he planned to make a film about a tennis player. Since no one would offer him money for a 2-hour film, Meng and his college friends tried to make a shorter one. They bought a second-hand camera and used old things instead of expensive equipment (设备). They even made a shelf on their own to support the camera.
Meng and his friends worked hard, rain or shine. When filming the tennis player, they ran after him in the summer sun. If it rained and they couldn’t film outside, they hung bed sheets (床单) on the walls in an empty room to set up a simple studio (摄影棚). This 12-minute film got much attention. The teachers and students in their college liked the music they created for it.
After that, Meng had another idea: to make a musical film. But musicals weren’t popular in college, and many said it wouldn’t work. Instead of listening to the doubts, Meng and his team spent weeks writing new songs and making a test video. To film the moving scenes, they fixed a smartphone on a skateboard and pushed it. The actors’ hair was blowing in the wind while they were dancing and singing. The loud voice and laughter of the team filled the air.
Their musical film was well received and won several awards at a film festival. As Meng said, “Making films isn’t about having the best equipment or famous actors. “Bob is not in the terrarium,” I said. Bob is our class pet.
“Oh my,” said Ms. Cook. “Thanks for noticing, Kayla. Let’s organize a search.”
“There are 24 of you. Divide into four groups. How many groups are there?” asked Ms. Cook. “Six,” Jason said.
Each group searched a corner of the classroom. No Bob.
“Divide into groups of three,” said Ms. Cook. “How many groups are there?” “Eight,” said Amanda.
We searched the hallway outside our classroom. Still no Bob.
Amanda raised her hand. “What if someone finds him and thinks he’s dangerous?” “I suppose we could make posters so that everyone will look out for Bob,” said Ms. Cook.
Ms. Cook asked Amanda to hand out paper while she wrote six words on the whiteboard: reward, harmless, gentle, return, smooth, and reptile (爬行动物). As she wrote, I saw her look at the notebook where she puts her lesson plans. “Be sure to use each word once and underline harmless ,” said Ms. Cook.
When we finished writing our sentences, Ms. Cook asked, “Are the posters done?” Jessica raised her hand. “How will other people know what Bob looks like?” Ms. Cook passed out colored crayons. “Everyone, draw a picture of Bob on your poster. We’ll hang the posters on our way to lunch.”
After lunch, Bob did not return. “It’s time for science,” said Ms. Cook. Maria raised her hand. “Where do snakes live when they’re not in terrariums?” “Why not visit the library?” suggested Ms. Cook. She divided the class into six groups. Each group read a science book about snakes.
When we returned to class and gave a book report, Ms. Butler, the headmaster walked in. Bob was coiled around her arm. “Look what I found under my desk,” said Ms. Butler.

“We have time for writing. Everyone writes Ms. Butler a thank-you note,” Ms. Cook said after Ms. Butler left. “Double-check your spelling and grammar.”
After the lesson, I said to Ms. Cook. “I think I know how Bob went missing.”
“You do?” said Ms. Cook.

Recently, I asked a seeing friend who had just walked in the woods what she had noticed. “Nothing special,” she replied.
How was it possible, I asked myself, to walk through the woods and see nothing worthy of note? I who cannot see find hundreds of things to interest me only through touch. If I can get so much pleasure from touch, how much more beauty must be found by sight (视力)? And I have imagined what I should most like to see if I were given the use of my eyes for just three days.
On the first day, I should want to see the people who have made my life worth living and the books which have been read to me. In the afternoon, I should take a walk in the woods and admire the beauties of nature. That night, I should not be able to sleep.
On my second day, I should go to the museums to see man’s progress. I should try to explore the spirit of man through his art. In the evening, I should spend at the movies.
The following day, I should spend in the world of common people going about the business of life. At midnight, permanent night would close in on me again, and I should realize how much I had left unseen.
I who am blind can give one suggestion to those who see: Use your eyes as if tomorrow you would be blind. The same is true of other senses. Hear the songs of birds, as if you would be deaf tomorrow. Smell the flowers, as if tomorrow you could never smell again... But of all the senses, I’m sure that sight must be the most pleasant.

I’ll always remember the first time I tried ballet (芭蕾) when I was only six years old. My mother was a dancer and I wanted nothing more than to be like her, but after making mistakes during my first class, I felt like I wanted to give up right away. As it was only my first day, however, I told my mom I couldn’t wait to dance again.
Weeks passed and my dancing didn’t get any better. Then my dance teacher announced that we were going to perform in a show. I was scared of falling on my face in front of hundreds of people and disappointing my mom. Even though I practiced hard for the show, I could never do quite well. Finally, I went to my mom to tell her how I felt. She simply laughed and told me she would teach me all she knew about ballet.
My mom quickly discovered how bad at ballet I was, but she still taught me with the greatest patience, love and understanding. When I jumped and fell, she was there to catch me. When I lost my balance (平衡), she held me up. By the time the show arrived, I was as prepared as I could be.
The music began and my heart started to race. Breathing calmly (平静地), I began moving to the music without missing a step. When the music stopped, I ran off the stage (舞台)and laughed in excitement.
My mom found me and gave me a huge hug, telling me how proud she was. I looked my mom in the eye and told her that there; was no way this could have happened without her. Through this, I realized one important fact: My mom will always be there to catch me if I fall.
Twenty years has passed. I am an excellent ballet dancer now. Thinking back to that period of time, I’m really grateful to my mom.

As Oliver worked alongside Mr. Pendulum, he learned that time was not just about numbers and minutes—it was about moments and memories. The clock tower had a special characteristic: It could show little bits of the past and future. Mr. Pendulum showed Oliver how to use this characteristic to help people in need.
One day, a young woman named Emily came to the clock tower for help. She was feeling lost and uncertain of her future. Mr. Pendulum and Oliver let her see a piece of her past, where she had faced challenges but had also experienced moments of joy and growth.

Then Mrs. Williams said, “River, you will join Cody’s team.”
Cody hesitated for a moment. He didn’t know River very well, but River seemed to be poor at sports.
“Remember: real winners are those who do their best, even if they don’t win.” Mrs. Williams told the teams.

Finally, the door opened. A man came out, looking surprised. He picked up the flower basket and then smiled. Mom hugged me. I got a good feeling inside. Now I knew what she meant about beauty sharing. I couldn’t wait to get to the next house.

Finally, she said to the bear, “It’s time for you to leave. Be safe. Be free.” She put her arms around his neck. Her tears ran into his fur. She was heartbroken.

It’s about finding new ways to tell your story. Our team is planning to make a special documentary about environment. And I can’t wait to write music for it.”

Butler.
Did Ms. Butler just wink at Ms. Cook?
“We have time for writing. Everyone writes Ms. Butler a thank-you note,” Ms. Cook said after Ms. Butler left. “Double-check your spelling and grammar.”
After the lesson, I said to Ms. Cook. “I think I know how Bob went missing.”
“You do?” said Ms. Cook.
“I think he had help,” I said.
“Hmm,” said Ms. Cook. “Maybe a little.”
“His disappearance made school interesting,” I said. “Thanks for the fun day.”
Ms. Cook smiled. “And thank you, Detective Kayla.”

Long ago, Adana lived in a small village in Africa. Everyone in the village had jobs to do, and the villagers depended on one another. When Adana turned ten, her mother called for her.
“Adana, it is time for you to take your place in the village. You shall be the water girl. Each morning, we need you to go down to the spring, fill these buckets (水桶) with water, and bring them back to the village before noon.”
Adana took pride in being given such an important job. She picked up the yoke with the buckets, flung it over her back, and walked to the spring. When she arrived, she took a drink and then filled the buckets with clean, cool water. Adana looked at the sun. It was nearly noon and she knew the villagers were depending on her. She turned to a water girl from a nearby village and asked, “How long will it take to carry this water back to my village?”
The girl thoughtfully replied, “If you go slowly, it will not take very long. But, if you go fast, it will take you all day.”
Adana listened, and thought about what the girl had told her. She did not believe the girl, and she climbed back up the bank and headed down the path toward her village. Adana started off slowly, but increased her speed with each step. Soon, she was slowly jogging back toward her village. Half way home, she stopped to take a little sip of water. When she did, she saw that the buckets were only half full. Water had been sloshing out along the path as she travelled.
Disheartened, Adana turned back toward the spring. Once again, she filled the buckets with nice, clean water. Then, she walked slowly back toward the village.
When she arrived, her little sister asked, “How long does it take to carry water back from the spring?”
Adana smiled and said, “If you go slowly, it will not take very long. But if you go fast, it could take all day.” Adana’s little sister listened, but thought this was an odd thing to say. From that day forward, Adana walked quickly to the spring each morning. On her way home, she ________.
