He was going to meet his friends at the local park to play basketball. As he was getting ready, his mother reminded him to take his jacket as it might get cold later. But Tom, thinking it would stay warm, ignored her advice and rushed out of the house. When he arrived at the park, his friends were already there. They started playing basketball immediately. The game was intense and everyone was having a great time. However, after a couple of hours, dark clouds began to gather and the wind picked up. Soon, it started to rain heavily. Tom and his friends quickly ran to the nearby shelter, but they were already soaked. Tom regretted not listening to his mother. He was shivering with cold and his teeth were chattering. His friends tried to warm him up, but it didn't seem to help much. Just then, Tom's mother showed up with a warm blanket and a cup of hot chocolate. She had seen the change in the weather and guessed that the boys might be in trouble. Tom felt both embarrassed and grateful. He realized that sometimes parents' advice, even if it seems unnecessary at first, can be very valuable. After the rain stopped, Tom and his friends decided to go home. C Oct. 23rd is the beginning of Shuangjiang or Frost’s Descent in English, the 18th of 24 solar terms(节气)in the Chinese lunar calendar. It refers to the time when frost(霜)starts to fall across China, or “the dews(露水)were frozen into frost” because of the coldness, as recorded in ancient Chinese books. By the time of Shuangjiang, most of the harvesting work is already completed in northern China, and farmers are now able to enjoy a period of rest. But in the south the harvest is still on the go. Farmers have to take home the sweet potatoes before they are destroyed by the coming frost. After a year of farming, it is the time to plow the fields and prepare the soil for next year both south and north. Autumn might be the most colorful season China with the leaves turning from golden yellow to red. Hiking has become popular since the ancient times as people can enjoy the special autumnal scenery. Du Mu, a well-known poet from the Tang Dynasty wrote the beautiful scenery in a poem: “I stopped the coach as charmed by the maple woods, Frosted autumn leaves out shine February flowers in redness.” The Double Ninth Festival also falls during the season, a festival for the elders. Going hiking in the highlands is part of the celebrations practiced by the ancient Chinese people. “Keeping warm” becomes a most important thing at this time of the year as the weather is getting colder. Persimmon(柿子)is the favored fruit in many areas. The Chinese believe that persimmons could not only keep off the coldness, but strengthen the muscles and bones. Also, chicken or mutton soup is believed to be good for the sleep and advised for the diet. Shuangjiang brings the frost and freezing wind, and autumn has come to an end. But for most Chinese, it is not necessarily a sad time because in winter, they are able to have different but equally beautiful scenery. 28. Shuangjiang is the ______ of the twenty-four solar terms. A. 10th B. 15th C. 18th D. 20th 29. What is the main idea of the 5th paragraph? A. Tell the differences of the harvest in China’s south and north. B. Explain why Shuangjiang gets its name. C. Advise some activities to enjoy the colorful season. D. Introduce the ways to stay warm before the coming of winter. 30. Which of the following statement about Shuangjiang is TRUE according to the text? A. People believe eating persimmons in Shuangjiang can help get rid of coldness. B. Shuangjiang is the best time for people hoping lose weight to take exercises. C. Farmers in the south of China can enjoy a great rest during Shuangjiang. D. Shuangjiang is the end of summer and the beginning of autumn of a year. 31. What’s the best title of the passage? A. What Causes Frost’s Descent B. Time to Say Goodbye to Autumn C. Enjoy the Beautiful Autumn D. Prepare for a Good Harvest D A computer programme can identify breast cancer from routine scans with greater accuracy than human experts, researchers said in what they hoped could prove a breakthrough in the fight against the global killer. Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers in women, with more than 2 million new diagnoses (诊断) last year alone. Regular screening is vital in detecting the earliest signs of the disease in patients who show no obvious symptoms. In Britain, women over 50 are advised to get a mammogram (X线照片) every three years, the results of which are analyzed by two independent experts. But interpreting the scans leaves room for error, and a small percentage of all mammograms either return a false positive-misdiagnosing a healthy’ patient as having cancer-or false negative-missing the disease as it spreads. Now researchers at Google Health have trained an artificial intelligence model to detect cancer in breast scans from thousands of women in Britain and the United States. The images had already been reviewed by doctors in real life but unlike in a clinical setting, the machine had no patient history to inform its diagnoses. The team found that their AI model could predict breast cancer from the scans with a greater accuracy than human expert doctors. Further, the AI showed a reduction in the percentage of cases where cancer was incorrectly identified — 5.7 percent in the US and 1.2 percent in Britain, respectively. It also reduced the percentage of missed diagnoses by 9.4 percent among US patients and by 2.7 percent in Britain. “The earlier you identify a breast cancer the better it is for the patient,” Dominic King, UK lead at Google Health, told AFP. “We think about this technology in a way that supports and enables an expert, or a patient finally, to get the best outcome from whatever diagnostics they’ve had.” 32. What do researchers hope the computer programme could prove to be in the fight against breast cancer? A. A new treatment method B. A breakthrough C. A replacement for human experts D. A way to reduce scan costs 33. What is the disadvantage of a mammogram? A. It must be programmed on a computer. B. Its results may be misread by doctors. C. It can’t find the earliest symptoms. D. It can only apply to women over 50. 34. What is known about AI in detecting breast cancer? A. It won’t face the patient to get information. B. It doesn’t need a mammogram to diagnose. C. It can’t predict more correctly than humans. D. It doesn’t give false positive or false negative. 35. What is Dominic King’s attitude to the AI model? A. Positive. B. Doubtful. C. Unconcerned. D. Conservative. The following tips will make your friend cheer up. His world was a silent canvas, shaped by the gestures of sign language, a language he knew profoundly, and one that I was eager to explore. Despite the lively environment, Alex moved through his day with a quiet grace, his hands gesturing smoothly as he communicated with those who understood him. However, for many of us, his gestures were a mystery, creating an invisible barrier between him and the rest of the student body. This barrier became strikingly apparent when I noticed how effortlessly Alex interacted with the few students and teachers fluent in sign language. With them, he was a different person — confident, expressive, and fully engaged. The transformation was remarkable; the barrier thatseemed so overwhelming with us was non-existent with them. He laughed more and participated more. It was clear that in those moments, Alex was not just surviving in a silent world but thriving in a language that allowed him to be his true self. I remember the first time I saw him struggle to communicate with us. We were in the cafeteria, and Alex was trying to explain something important. His eyes were searching for understanding, his hands tracing patterns in the air that were lost on us. The frustration on his face was evident, and the helplessness we all felt was equally disheartening. Simple tasks, like asking for directions or participating in group discussions, became significant challenges for Alex. He often had to rely on written notes or the limited knowledge of sign language that a few of our classmates possessed. These daily struggles were a constant reminder of the communication barrier that existed. It was during one particularly difficult group project that the reality hit me hard. Alex had brilliant ideas, but conveying them was a painstaking process. His eyes would light up with enthusiasm, only to fade with disappointment when we couldn’t understand his signs. Paragraph 1: At that moment, I realized that we should do something. _____________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Paragraph 2: It was time for another group project and we were ready._____________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 1 / 10 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $$■ 2025-2026学年高一英语上学期第一次月考卷(北师大版2019) 答题卡 贴条感列区 0 0 23 12345678 23 23 23 23 23 1. E, How is everyshing going?['ve been at Senoor High Schcol for nore thin n month I'm urting down ny thoughts about my new schoul lie. Tom, a 17-year-old high school student, was excited about his plan for the day. Prepare for a Good Harvest 【答案】28. C 29. D 30. A 31. B 【知识点】说明文 【导语】作者通过这篇文章主要向我们描述了中国农历24节气中的第十八节气霜降的时间,风俗等。 28. 细节理解题。根据文章第一段“Oct. 23rd is the beginning of Shuangjiang or Frost’s Descent in English, the 18th of 24 solar terms(节气)in the Chinese lunar calendar.(10月23日是霜降的开始,是中国农历24节气中的第18个节气。)”可知,霜降是二十四节气中的第十八个节气。故选C。 29. 主旨大意题。根据本段第一句““Keeping warm” becomes a most important thing at this time of the year as the weather is getting colder.(保暖成了一年中这个时节最重要的事情,因为天气正在转凉)”以及下文的提到的吃柿子、喝鸡汤以及羊肉汤保暖,可知本段主要介绍了一些在冬季来临前保暖的方法。故选D项。 30. 细节理解题。根据第五段的“The Chinese believe that persimmons could not only keep off the coldness, but strengthen the muscles and bones.(中国人相信柿子不仅能御寒,还能强身健骨。)”可知,人们相信在霜降吃柿子可以驱寒。故选A项。 31. 主旨大意题。根据文章的主要内容,尤其最后一段的“Shuangjiang brings the frost and freezing wind, and autumn has come to an end. But for most Chinese, it is not necessarily a sad time because in winter, they are able to have different but equally beautiful scenery.(霜降带来了霜和刺骨的寒风,秋天已经到了尽头。但,对于大多数中国人来说,这也不是一个悲伤的时节,因为在冬天,他们可以欣赏到等同漂亮的不同美景)”可知,本文主要讲述霜降的到来意味着秋天的结束和冬天的到来。在这个重要的节气,人们忙着收成,忙着为冬天做准备。由此可知“对秋天说再见的时刻”可以作为本文标题。故选B项。 D A computer programme can identify breast cancer from routine scans with greater accuracy than human experts, researchers said in what they hoped could prove a breakthrough in the fight against the global killer. C. But interpreting the scans leaves room for error, and a small percentage of all mammograms either return a false positive-misdiagnosing a healthy’ patient as having cancer-or false negative-missing the disease as it spreads.(在英国,建议50岁以上的女性每三年做一次乳房X光检查,检查结果由两位独立专家进行分析。但对扫描结果的解读也会留下错误的空间,而且所有乳房X光检查中有一小部分要么是假阳性——将健康的病人误诊为癌症——要么是假阴性——在疾病扩散时漏诊)”可知,专家分析影像检查的结果时容易出错。故选B。 34.细节理解题。根据第四段“The images had already been reviewed by doctors in real life but unlike in a clinical setting, the machine had no patient history to inform its diagnoses.(这些图像已经在现实生活中被医生检查过,但与临床环境不同的是,这台机器没有病人的病史来提供诊断信息)”可知,人工智能机器只是从扫描的影像中去发现癌症,但是不像在门诊看病,AI不会面对病人。故选A。 35. 根据最后一段“We think about this technology in a way that supports and enables an expert, or a patient finally, to get the best outcome from whatever diagnostics they’ve had.(我们认为这项技术能够支持专家或患者最终从他们所做的任何诊断中获得最佳结果)”可知,Dominic King认为这个技术让专家和病人获得最好的结果,所以他的态度是积极的。故选A。 The following tips will make your friend cheer up. Hear out her problem before reacting (回应). But try to help her asking questions such as, “What things can you do to make the situation better?” or “What’s been happening at work lately that’s been good?”(如果你的朋友对工作中的某件事很生气,帮助她看到事情积极的一面。 37.根据第三段的主题句“Send her a card or postcard.(给她寄张卡片或明信片。)”与空前一句“Drop a note in the mail to her.(给她寄封信。)” 38.根据该空后的“as they can help her build confidence and self-esteem(因为它们可以帮助她建立自信和自尊)”判断,空格处要说到一些帮助她建立自信和自尊的事情,E项“Don’t be afraid to tell your friend these things(不要害怕告诉你的朋友这些事)”提到要告诉朋友一些事情,其中的“these things”指代前面提到的有关“they are smart, strong, and beautiful”的事情,而告诉朋友这些事情能帮助她建立自信和自尊,与下文构成因果关系。故选E。 39. Try out new things together.(一起尝试新事物)和空后的“If you want your friends to be happy, encourage them to try new things with you.(如果你想让你的朋友开心,鼓励他们和你一起尝试新事物。)” 40.根据空前的主题句“Bring her one of her favorite treats.(给她带一个她最喜欢的食物。)”与空后一句“Maybe she can’t live without an afternoon coffee, or maybe she has a special love for black forest cake.(也许她离不开下午的咖啡,也许她对黑森林蛋糕情有独钟。)” Julia, a 27-year-old TikTok user from Chicago, has been making dresses that her grandmother designed at fashion school to share on the platform. _________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Paragraph 2: It was time for another group project and we were ready._________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】Paragraph 1 At that moment, I realized that we should do something. I made a proposal that we learn sign language together. To my delight, many of them showed great enthusiasm, eager to bridge the gap and help Alex feel more included. We formed a small group and started meeting after school to practice. Together, we shared resources, supported each other and celebrated every bit of progress we made. With each passing day, our sense of achievement and pride as a team grew, and we couldn’t wait to use our new skills to make a difference. Paragraph2 It was time for another group project and we were ready. As we gathered around the table, we greeted Alex with simple gestures we had just learned. At the sight of sign language, Alex’s face lit up with astonishment and joy. With our joined efforts, we could understand each other easily and we communicated smoothly in the whole process. The pride we felt in breaking down the invisible barrier was immeasurable, and the happiness in Alex’s eyes made every effort worthwhile. That day, we realized we not just understood a language, but also created a space where everyone felt valued and heard. 词汇激活 行为类 ①帮助:help/assist ②聚集:gather around /get together ③理解:understand /comprehend ④意识到:realize/be aware of 情绪类 ①热情:enthusiasm /passion ②惊讶:astonishment /amazement 【点睛】[高分句型1] I made a proposal that we learn sign language together.(使用了连接词that连接的同位语从句) [高分句型2] The pride we felt in breaking down the invisible barrier was immeasurable, and the happiness in Alex’s eyes made every effort worthwhile.(使用了以pride为先行词、省略引导词that的定语从句) 1 / 24 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $$ 2025-2026学年高一英语上学期第一次月考卷(北师大版2019) 参考答案 第一部分 听力(共两节,满分30分) 第一节(共5小题;每小题1.5分,满分7.5分) 1—5 BCCBB 6—10 CABAB 第二节(共15小题;每小题1.5分,满分 22.5分) 11—15 AABAC 16—20 ABACA 第二部分 阅读理解(共两节, 满分50分) 第一节(共15小题;每小题2. 5分, 满分37. 5分) 21. 词汇激活 行为类 ①帮助:help/assist ②聚集:gather around /get together ③理解:understand /comprehend ④意识到:realize/be aware of 情绪类 ①热情:enthusiasm /passion ②惊讶:astonishment /amazement 【点睛】[高分句型1] I made a proposal that we learn sign language together.(使用了连接词that连接的同位语从句) [高分句型2] The pride we felt in breaking down the invisible barrier was immeasurable, and the happiness in Alex’s eyes made every effort worthwhile.(使用了以pride为先行词、省略引导词that的定语从句) 1 / 2 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $$………………○……………… ………………○……………… ………………○……………… … 学校:______________姓名:_____________班级:_______________考号:______________________ 2025-2026学年高一英语上学期第一次月考卷(北师大版2019) (考试时间:120分钟 试卷满分:150分) 考生注意: 1. 1.Why does the man apologize to the woman? Paragraph 1: At that moment, I realized that we should do something._________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Paragraph 2: It was time for another group project and we were ready._________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 试题 第11页(共12页) 试题 第12页(共12页) 试题 第9页(共12页) 试题 第10页(共12页) 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $$
