The students talked about what they want to do in the future. 学生们讨论了将来他们想 要做的事情。 句中what they want to do in the future 是作为talked about 的宾语，故称之为宾语从句。宾语从句要注意三要素：引导词，语序和时态。 第一，引导词。宾语从句的引导词常常有以下三种：由陈述句转化而来的宾语从句，引导词为that，that在口语或非正式文体中可省略；由一般疑问句转化而来的宾语从句，引导词为if或whether；由特殊疑问句转化而来的宾语从句，引导词为句子本身的特殊疑问词，即what，when，where等。如：We knew（that）we should learn from each other. I want to know if（whether）he lives there. Can you tell me how I can get to the nearest post office? 第二，语序。宾语从句的语序为陈述句语序，即“主语+谓语+宾语+其他”。也就是说，将疑问句转化成宾语从句时，一定要将疑问句语序转变成陈述句语序。如：Can you tell me what he will do tomorrow? 你能告诉我他明天将要做什么吗？【提示】当疑问词在宾语从句中做主语时，语序不变。如：I don’t know what is wrong with him. 我不知道他出什么事了。 第三，时态。主句为一般现在时态，则宾语从句根据实际情况用任意的时态；但主句为一般过去时态时，宾语从句则要用过去的相对应的某种时态。如：She tells me that she will come by bus. 她说她将要坐公交车来。She told me that she would come by bus. 她说她将要坐公交车来。如果宾语从句表示的是客观真理或是科学事实，其谓语动词仍用一般现在时态。如： Our teacher told us that the sun is much bigger than the moon.老师告诉我们说太阳比月球大得 多。 【举例】I think（that）he will come here by train. 我认为他会坐火车来这儿的。 He asked me if / whether I knew his new address. 他问我是否知道他的新地址。 I want to know when you got back home yesterday. 我想知道你昨天什么时候到家的。 He said that light travels much faster than sound. 他说光速要比声速快。 She told me that she would come by bus. 她说她将要坐公交车来。 【练习】中考链接 1 We don’t know ．—It is said that he was born in Canada．（2008 汕头） A．what he is B．when he was born C．where he comes from D．if he lives here 2. The girl sings as she goes to school. As time went on / by, she became more and more beautiful. 2. As =Since 作"既然"、"由于"解, 引导原因状语从句, 常用来表示已为人们所知或显而易见的原因或理由。如: As / Since you're not feeling well, you may stay at home. 3. As =in the way that作"像"、"按照……的方式"解,引导方式状语从句。如: Do as I told you. 4. 用于as...as或not / so/ as ... as中,前一个as是副词,后一个as是连词,引导比较状语从句。如: I don't speak English as well as she does. 5. 表示也……一样。 She is a doctor as her husband.（二）、as作介词的用法. 1.表示好像。如:He dressed as a policeman. 2. 表示作为、当作。如：I found a job as a guide. 3.ahead的用法 一. 是副词，不要把它误认为是名词：There’s danger ahead. 前面有危险。 二. 主要作状语，也用作后置定语或表语The road ahead was full of sheep前面的路上全是羊。 三. 用于 ahead of, 注意以下用法： (1) 指时间或空间的“在…之前”He left one day ahead of me. 他比我早走一天。 (2) 表示“比…强 (高)” (主要用作表语)：He’s ahead of me in English. 他的英语比我强。 (3) 用于 ahead of time, 意为“提前”或“提早”：work was done ahead of time.工作提前完成了。 有时用于 ahead of schedule：He finished his job ahead of schedule. 他提前完成了工作。 4. Go ahead的用法：(1) 表示同意或允许，意为“说吧”、“做吧”： A：May I start?我可以开始了吗? B：Yes, go ahead. 好，开始吧。 (2) 表示继续做某事，“继续…吧”：Go ahead, we are all listening. 继续讲吧，我们都在听呢! 【课堂变式】A： Do you mind if I smoke? 我抽烟你介意吗?
