教学目标
在学习本节课后,学生能够
1. 通过关于“find the main idea of a paragraph”阅读技巧的学习,从整体阅读语篇,关注语篇中各个段落的主旨大意,梳理语篇的宏观结构。
2. 通过归纳坏习惯的危害,树立尽早识别和改变坏习惯的意识。
3. 提炼习惯的关键特征,正确建构“习惯周期”的概念,并且能够在此基础上运用“习惯周期”分析坏习惯,思考其对改变坏习惯的作用,并尝试用“习惯周期”来形成新的好习惯。
教学内容
教学重点:
在“find the main idea of a paragraph”阅读技巧教学环节,着重引导学生去自主运用所学策略去快速找到和归纳语篇中的每个段落主旨大意,在宏观上把握文章各部分的逻辑关联,从而理解作者的写作意图。
教学难点:
在引导学生建构“习惯周期”的概念和理解作者意图后,进一步引导学生运用所学来分析和改变自身的不良习惯、养成健康的生活习惯。

How to find the main idea of a paragraph?
Read the text and find out what main ideas are included in it and in which paragraph(s) they are answered. Tick the correct ones.
Ask students to read the whole passage and make sure whether the following questions are discussed. If yes, relate the questions with paragraphs.

Read the text again and answer the questions.
(1). How can a choice lead to a habit?
(2). What should we do to change a bad habit?

(4). Will you use the habit cycle to break your bad habits? Why or why not?
Answers:
(1). In many ways, our lifestyle is the sum of choices we have made. We make a choice to do something, and then we repeat it over and over again. Soon that choice becomes automatic and forms a habit that is much harder to change.
(2). We can do this by combining the information from our habit cycles with our own positive ideas.

将行文脉络图示化,并凸显why、what、how三个词,有利于学生从宏观上把握文章各部分的逻辑关联,从而理解作者的写作意图。
通过做细节理解题,学生能够更好地理解习惯周期和如何运用习惯周期来将坏习惯转变成好习惯的原理。

整堂课我退至“幕后”,把话筒交给学生:导入环节的对比视频由他们截图解读,阅读策略由他们在段落旁批注验证,习惯周期图由小组自行绘制并贴于黑板,最终“转换成好习惯”方案也由同伴互评打分。我只在最后以“如果奖励不变,新习惯能否持久”抛出一个追问,便激起全班二次讨论。学生真正成为了问题的提出者、资料的发现者、方案的创造者,课堂因他们的主动建构而鲜活。
