So, how did this happen? Researchers believe the appeal of AI-generated poems lies in their simplicity and clarity. Understanding human-authored poetry also requires deep and critical thinking. Michele Elam, a senior fellow at Stanford’s Institute for Human-Centered AI, raised a key concern about how AI may shape people’s relationships with art.
