What were you doing then? ” Let 3 - 4 students share, e.g., “I was walking home when a rainstorm came. I got wet!”, “I was watching TV at home.” Lead - in to Past Continuous Write on the board: “What were you doing when the rainstorm came? I was + doing.” Explain: “We use past continuous to talk about actions in progress at a specific past time (like during the rainstorm).” II. 1a Activity – Location Matching (8 mins) Instruction Show 1a pictures (people in library, house, street, bus stop).
