写作项目——Write a picture description
本单元的写作任务是描述图画。此类文体通常根据所给的一幅或多幅图画进行描述、分析和评论。写作时需要仔细观察图画内容,采用形象简洁的语言描述图画的内容,深入分析图画的含义,探讨图画所反映的主题,并提出自己的观点。此类写作需要考生具备敏锐的观察力、丰富的想象力、严谨的逻辑思维能力及分析能力。

阅读课文,总结该文体的框架结构如下:
二、学细节描写
在具体描述图画内容时,可以从when、 where、 who、 what、 why、 how、 result等几个方面入手。故事的叙述可以按时间、地点或事件的发生顺序进行描写。如课文第二段采用细节描写的手法,描写了图画中人物的外貌(wearing a hat and an apron、 has his back turned to us)、动作(carrying an umbrella、 watering the flowers),以及所处场景(raining heavily),使人物形象更加生动,体现了图画类写作的特点。
三、学要点构思
此类写作在深层分析图画中的人物或者发生的事情时,一般先点明存在的社会现象,再挖掘出其深层原因,以此逻辑表达顺序进行叙述。如课文在第三段implies之后点明了现象(loves routines),继而在第四段分析原因(help us stay organised、 but sometimes control us)。
四、学亮点表达
1.副词的运用
(1)第一段第一句用pretty代替very,使表达更高级,更能传达出这幅图画第一眼给作者的印象是相当简单的一幅画。采用先抑后扬的写法,为下文图画的深意解读埋下伏笔。
(2)第二段第一句用heavily刻画出雨下得很大,细节描写传神、 形象。
2.高级句式的运用
第四段使用了很多复杂结构,如定语从句“we can take from this picture”;表语从句“that it is important to have routines and timetables”;原因状语从句“as they can help us stay organised”及“because they can make us blind to what is in front of us”等,揭示了图画的深层含义,展现了作者良好的写作功底。
