抓两线主要通过找关键词,如本文通过时间关键词“7:00 a.m.; senior high school at last; 12:30 p.m.; had my first maths class; 5:32 p.m.; This afternoon;10:29 p.m.”
1.So this is it — senior high school at last! I'm not outgoing so I'm a little anxious right now.I want to make a good first impression.
2.I found most of my classmates and teachers friendly and helpful.
3.The lab is new and the lesson was great, but the guy next to me tried to talk to me the whole time.I couldn't concentrate on the experiment.I really wanted to tell him to please be quiet and leave me alone!
赏析:作者使用tried to talk, couldn't concentrate on, please be quiet, leave me alone,形象生动地描述了自己上化学课时不断被旁边的男生打扰的情形。
①(完成句子)During our travel, we_found_the_villagers_very_friendly_and_helpful.
I didn't really mean to hurt you.
I tried_to_talk_to_him,_but he couldn't_concentrate_on what I was saying.He said, “Please be_quiet_and_leave_me_alone.”
1. Will I make any friends? What if no one talks to me?
2.I miss my friends from junior high school, but I believe I will make new friends here, and there's a lot to explore at senior high.
I will make new friends here 是省略了连词that的宾语从句,作动词believe的宾语。
①We knew there was little hope for them, but_we_did_everything_we_could_to save them.

③What_if_I_can't_adapt_to_the_life_of_high_school?How_am_I_going_to_face the increasing academic pressure?
What a day! This morning, I was worried that no one would talk to me.But I was wrong.I didn't feel awkward or frightened at all ...I feel much more confident than I felt this morning.I think that tomorrow will be a great day!

An International Student
Eight years ago, I went to a wonderful school, West Catholic High School and was lucky enough to study as an international student from France.
I remember my first day at that school . I was very nervous as if there had been many butterflies in my stomach. My main fear was that I would not be able to express myself due to the language barrier. I was trying to have as little communication as I possibly could. And I almost succeeded until we had to introduce ourselves in front of the class.
, I was surrounded by many people . It turned out to be the opposite of less communication, but it was so much fun.
During the first three months, I certainly experienced a little bit of cultural shock, which I learnt a lot from.
One day, I noticed the students looking at me suspiciously. Finally, one classmate came up to my locker and whispered, “Is that true that you are a princess and that you came to study here ?” At one point, I even had an image of myself wearing a crown and gracefully waving at the crowd.People do have a wild imagination!
I think it was a priceless one-year experience! I saw a totally new world. This trip inspired me to learn a foreign language. That is one of the reasons why I can speak five different languages today.

A
Sharon, Aged 22
The most important thing to keep in mind when you go to high school is to be yourself. Besides, I don't know what your middle school life was like, but high school teachers will not care about things such as how much homework you already have in one night. It's best to just learn to deal with things and manage your time wisely so that you can achieve your goal.
Frank, Aged 21
I think almost every kid feels both nervous and excited before their first day of high school. But don't worry, you will probably love it. You can join in some activities that will make your high school life more enjoyable. Good luck!
Eddie, Aged 20
When I started high school, I was really nervous, since I had been homeschooled all through middle school and didn't really know anyone. I suppose the best advice would be to just relax. The first couple of days can be a little bit hard, but things will become easier before you know it.
David, Aged 19
I'm not going to lie. The first day of high school is kind of frightening. But you'll get used to it. Don't be afraid and just take it easy. Making some friends and staying with them will greatly help you get used to high school quickly.

When I was young, I loved paper-cutting and I was pretty good at it. As I grew up, I became busy and didn't have much time for it. Later, I stopped doing it.
However, the news I came across online touched my heart and changed my mind. A little girl from Jieyang, Guangdong was practicing lion dance when a professional lion dance performance team (专业舞狮表演队) passed by. As soon as they saw the girl practicing, they started to beat drums and gongs for her and quickly she did a lion dance in return. People around all cheered for her. Her love for the ancient Chinese culture evoked my strong memories of paper-cutting.
I remembered the happy times of making paper-cuttings with my teacher and friends in the club. When I was ten, I joined the paper-cutting club. Every Monday and Friday, I learned to make paper-cuttings there. Our teacher, Ms Li, was very talented. With a pair of scissors and a piece of paper, she could create lively works (作品). That amazed us. And we learned much from her. Together, we created lots of works. They covered many topics, including animals, flowers and things about Chinese history. Every time we held a paper-cutting show, our works attracted many visitors. The girl in the news encouraged me to go on with paper-cutting. I want to be an inheritor (继承者) of the ancient Chinese culture. Together with other inheritors, I hope to pass down our excellent culture.
