I've never_heard_a_better_one before. ⑤这本书对我影响最大。 →The book has a greater effect on me than any_other_book. →The book has a greater effect on me than all_the_other_books. →The book has a greater effect on me than any_of_the_other_books. 语法项目—— Indefinite Pronouns 语境自主感知 ①(教材典句)As people often say, any exercise is better than none ... ②(教材典句)It is a great sport for beginners — you do not need a gym membership or any special equipment. ③(教材典句)You are also somebody who worries about getting sick. ④(教材典句)Besides, anybody who is feeling down can go for a run to cheer themselves up. [我的发现] 通过上述例句,你能说出不定代词在句中所作的句子成分吗? 语法规则点拨 不定代词的用法 不具体指明代替哪个特定名词的代词叫作不定代词。英语中的不定代词常成对出现,现分述如下: 1.some和any (1)some和any都可修饰或指代可数名词和不可数名词;some一般用于肯定句,any一般用于疑问句和否定句。 (2)当表示请求或要求并希望对方能给出肯定的回答时,some也可用于疑问句;any表示“任何”之意时,也可用于肯定句。 I want to go to the market to get some fruit. 我想去市场上买点水果。 Do you have any books for children here? 你这儿有适合儿童读的书吗? 2.all和both (1)all表示三者或三者以上的人或物;both表示两者。 (2)all和both都可以与定冠词连用,置于定冠词之前。 (3)all与both后加of时,of后的名词前必须有限定词。 (4)all与both可作为同位语放在谓语动词的前面。 Not all balls are round. 球并不都是圆的。 They are both interested in music. 他们两个都对音乐感兴趣。 Are all the students here today? 今天所有的学生都到了吗? 3.neither和either (1)neither和 either 均用于指两者。neither 意为“两者都不”,either意为“(两者中的)任何一个;(两者中的)每个,各方”。 (2)neither和either只用于指两者,指三者或三者以上要用none和any。 (3)两者均可修饰可数名词,但被修饰名词要用单数形式。 Neither of us enjoys getting up early. 我们俩谁也不喜欢早起。 There are trees on either side of the street. 街道两旁都有树。 4.each和every (1)each强调个体,指两者或两者以上的人或物,在句子中可用作主语、宾语,也可作定语(修饰单数可数名词);every强调全体,只能指三者或三者以上的人或物,在句子中只能作定语,修饰单数可数名词。 (2)两个用and连接的名词若被each或every修饰且用作主语时,其谓语用单数。 (3)every后接数字或“few+名词”可表示“每……”。 (4)each用于复数主语后作同位语,后面的谓语用复数。 Every/Each boy and girl has a gift. 每个男孩和女孩都有一份礼物。 The students each have a dictionary. 学生每人有一本词典。 He comes home every two weeks. 他每隔两周回家一次。 5.none和no one (1)none既指人又指物,其后可接表示范围的of短语;no one 通常只用于指人,不用于指物,其后不能接表示范围的of短语。 (2)no one用作主语时,谓语动词用单数;none用作主语时,若指不可数名词,谓语用单数;若指可数名词,则谓语可用单数也可用复数。 None was/were present at that time. 当时没有人在场。 None of their promises has/have been kept. 他们的诺言一个也没有信守。 No one has ever found a way to solve the problem. 从来没有人找到过解决这个问题的方法。 6.few和a few (1)few表示否定意义,意为“很少;几乎没有”;a few表示肯定意义,意为“几个;一些”。两者都必须修饰或代替可数名词复数,在句子中可用作主语、宾语、定语等。 (2)few前若使用了定冠词、物主代词或其他限定词,则表示肯定意义。 This is a very old song, so few young people know it. 这是一首老歌,因此很少有年轻人知道它。 There aren't many oranges here, but you can take a few if you want to. 这里的橘子不是很多,不过你想要的话可以拿几个。 He was among the few who have read the book. 他是少数几个读过这本书的人之一。 Some few of the survivors are still living. 生还者之中还有不少人依然健在。 7.little和a little little表示否定意义,意为“很少;几乎没有”;a little表示肯定意义,意为“一些;一点”。两者均只用于修饰不可数名词,在句子中可作主语、宾语、定语及状语等。 I have little spare time. 我很少有空余时间。 We know a little about his life. 我们对他的生平知道一点点。 8.one和another (1)one指一个或相似的一个;another指另外的一个。二者均表示泛指。 (2)one可与this、 that、 the 等连用,表示特指;another不能与这些词连用,也不能表示特指。 I don't have a book; can you lend me one? 我没有书,你能借我一本吗? Please give me another one. 请给我另一个。 This one is better than the one over there. 这个比那边的那个好些。 9.much和many much修饰或指代不可数名词;many修饰或指代可数名词复数。 His name is familiar to many people. 他的名字为许多人所熟知。 The children have too much homework to do. 孩子们有太多家庭作业要做。 10.other, the other, others, the others (1)other和others表示泛指; the other和the others表示特指。 (2)other和the other后可接名词,the other也可单独使用;而others和the others则只能单独使用,后不能接名词。 (3)other和the other既可表示单数又可表示复数,具体视它所代替或修饰名词的单复数而定,而others 和the others则表示复数。 Don't laugh at other people in any places. 在任何场合都不要嘲笑别人。 He has two uncles.One is a businessman; the other is an engineer. 他有两个叔叔,一个是商人,另一个是工程师。 Don't cut in when others are talking. 别人说话时别插嘴。 Only Jim was there.The others had left. 只有吉姆在那儿,其余的人都离开了。 11.复合不定代词 复合不定代词主要由some-、 any-、 every-、 no- 与 -body、 -one、 -thing构成,如:somebody、 anybody、 everybody、 nobody、 someone、 anyone、 everyone、 no one、 something、 anything、 everything、 nothing等。 (1)当不定代词被定语所修饰时,定语须放在它们的后面。 (2)指代something、 anything、 nothing、 everything等复合不定代词用it。 I have something important to tell you. 我有些重要的事情要告诉你。 We can't decide anything now. 我们现在不能做什么决定。 If you want anything, call me. 你要是需要什么,给我打电话。 Everything went according to the plan, didn't it? 一切都是按计划进行,是吗? 即时应用体验 Ⅰ.用适当的不定代词填空 1.The tea tastes nice.Would you like some? 2.I understood most of what they said but not every word. 3.Sorry, but none of us speaks/speak English. 4.If you want to change for a double room, you'll have to pay another 50 yuan. 5.Paul has made a lot of kites, but few can fly in the sky. 6.How can you make a trip with so little money? 7.There is little ink in my pen.Would you give me a little? 8.No_one/Nobody likes a person with bad manners.
