[2025山东菏泽期末]Giving red packets, or hongbao, during the Spring
Festival is a Chinese tradition. Usually, people put money in red envelopes
(信封) and give them to their friends and relatives. They think the money
inside can bring good luck. Children can always get red packets from their
parents, grandparents and other relatives during the Spring Festival. This is their
happiest moment.

Now the tradition is changing. It gets popular to give and get red packets
on WeChat, QQ and Alipay. At important festivals, people send red packets to
their family members and friends even if they are far away.
Some people like the electronic red packet because it is fast. Also, it makes
people closer to each other. You can send electronic red packets to others no
matter how far they are. People don’t care about how much money you give
them. They will feel warm because you care about them. What’s more, the
electronic red packet brings lots of fun to people. People can send it anywhere at
any time. They may get electronic red packets in surprise.
I like electronic red packets, but I think traditional red packets are better
because they are special. I like to keep the best wishes from my beloved ones in
those red envelopes.

[2025山西朔州期中]Many children don’t like doing chores. But asking
children to do chores is more than just getting the house cleaned. It can also
help children to be independent and responsible.
Luckily, there is an app to help. The app You Rule Chores lets kids get up
from the sofa and do chores. Through smartphone games, the app turns children
into housework players.“It is difficult to get kids to do work around the house.
We made the app to teach kids self-control, which is very important to their
future,” one of the app engineers said.
