—Believe in ________.You are the best in our club.
A. herself B. myself C. yourself D. himself

A. going B. living C. to go D. to live
go去;live居住。decide to do sth. 根据上文的问题“how was your trip to Sanya”,可知live不合句意,故选C。
3. My grandparents used to ________ in a small village, so now they aren’t used to ________ in the big city.
A. live; living B. live; live C. living; live D. living; living
【答案】A

根据“My grandparents used to...in the big city.”可知,used to do sth.表示“过去常常做某事”,空一应用动词原形live;be used to doing sth. 故选A。
4. —Did you and your cousin go to Mr. Green’s party last Sunday?

A. Neither B. None C. Both D. All
【答案】A

5. When I came in, they ________ in the room.
A. were playing B. are playing C. played D. plays
【答案】A
本句是when引导的时间状语从句,根据题干“When I came in, they ________ in the room.”
6. ________ American people and British people speak the same language, their cultures are quite different.
A. Since B. Although C. If D. Because
【答案】B

A. cut off B. get off C. put off D. go off

A. buy B. lend C. borrow D. return

Let’s help our parents do chores
Dear students,
Helping our parents do chores is one of the best ways to care about them. Our parents are always busy with work. They are tired after work, but they still have to do chores. If we help them do some chores, they will have more time to rest.
Sharing housework not only helps us understand how hard our parents work, but also keeps us active and healthy. It teaches us to be independent—we learn to take care of ourselves. What’s more, we can understand the idea of fairness from it. Everyone in the family should do chores, not just our parents.
There are plenty of chores we can manage. We can make the bed every morning, tidy our rooms regularly, help wash clothes or dishes, and even take out the trash. Small actions like these matter!
Doing chores is not difficult, but it means a lot. Let’s start today—small efforts will make a big difference. Let’s help our parents do chores!
