◇教学过程◇
Step 1 Leading in
1.Greet the class.
2.Show a short video about friends in trouble.Ask students to think about what they would do if they were in that situation.
Step 2 Work on A
1.Let students read the story “Two friends and the bear” silently.After reading,ask them to answer the questions:“What did the two friends do when they saw the bear?” and “What can you learn from the story?”
2.Encourage students to share their thoughts and opinions about the story in groups.
3.Then select some students to share their ideas.
Step 3 Work on B1
1.Let students scan the list of advice for making friends before listening.
2.Play the recording of Daniel,Simon and Millie’s conversation.Ask students to listen carefully and tick the advice mentioned in their talk.
3.Check the answers together and let students repeat the useful expressions.
Step 4 Work on B2
1.Play the recording of Mr Wu’s talk about how to get along with friends.Ask students to listen and complete the notes.
2.Check the answers and explain the difficult points.
Step 5 Work on B3
1.Let students read Daniel’s article about making friends and getting along with them.Guide students to complete the article with the information in Parts B1 and B2.
2.Check the answers together.Explain the difficult points.
Step 6 Work on C
1.Play the recording of the conversation between Simon and Kitty.And let students read after it.
2.Let students work in pairs and discuss how many friends to have,using the conversation between Simon and Kitty as a model.
3.Invite some pairs to share their discussions and give feedback.
Step 7 Work on D
1.Work on D1
(1)Ask students to answer the questions below about their best friend.
(2)Let them think carefully and write down their answers.
2.Work on D2
(1)Let students read Kitty’s article about her best friend.
(2)Guide students to analyse the structure and useful expressions in the article.
3.Work on D3
(1)Ask students to write their own article about their best friend based on the information in Part D1,using Kitty’s article as a model.Walk around the classroom to offer help and guidance.
(2)Then invite some students to share their articles with the class.
◇教学反思◇
本课时通过多样化的活动,有效培养了学生的综合语言运用能力,学生对友谊的理解更加深刻,也掌握了不少交友和与朋友相处的方法。在讨论和写作过程中,学生积极参与,但部分学生在表达复杂观点时存在语言障碍,今后应加强口语和写作训练。
