用法介绍
名词所有格用于表示名词之间的所属关系,主要有两种形式:’s 所有格和 of 所有格。它能明确说明某物归属于某人或某事物,使表达更加准确清晰。

注意事项
1. ’s 所有格的读音:在清辅音后读 /s/,如 the book’s cover(/bʊks ˈkʌvə(r)/);在浊辅音和元音后读 /z/,如 the boy’s toy(/bɔɪz tɔɪ/);在以 s 结尾的名词后,读音为 /ɪz/,如 the girls’ classroom(/ɡɜːlz ˈklɑːsruːm/) 。
2. of 所有格与’s 所有格的选择:一般有生命的名词用’s 所有格;无生命的名词用 of 所有格,但也有例外,如表示时间、距离、国家、城市等无生命名词,常用’s 所有格,如 today’s newspaper(今天的报纸);ten minutes’ walk(十分钟的步行路程) 。
3. 双重所有格的特点:被修饰名词前通常有 a,an,some,any,several,no,few,two 等限定词,不能用 the 。如可以说 a friend of my mother’s,但不能说 the friend of my mother’s 。且双重所有格所修饰的名词与 of 短语中的名词之间是部分与整体的关系,如 a picture of my father’s(我父亲的一张照片,父亲有很多照片,这是其中一张)和 a picture of my father(我父亲本人的一张照片,照片上是父亲)意义不同 。
4. 特殊所有格情况:表示店铺、诊所、住宅等的名词所有格,其后的名词常省略,如 the doctor’s(诊所);my uncle’s(我叔叔家) 。

注意事项
1. ’s 所有格的读音:在清辅音后读 /s/,如 the book’s cover(/bʊks ˈkʌvə(r)/);在浊辅音和元音后读 /z/,如 the boy’s toy(/bɔɪz tɔɪ/);在以 s 结尾的名词后,读音为 /ɪz/,如 the girls’ classroom(/ɡɜːlz ˈklɑːsruːm/) 。
2. of 所有格与’s 所有格的选择:一般有生命的名词用’s 所有格;无生命的名词用 of 所有格,但也有例外,如表示时间、距离、国家、城市等无生命名词,常用’s 所有格,如 today’s newspaper(今天的报纸);ten minutes’ walk(十分钟的步行路程) 。
3. 双重所有格的特点:被修饰名词前通常有 a,an,some,any,several,no,few,two 等限定词,不能用 the 。如可以说 a friend of my mother’s,但不能说 the friend of my mother’s 。且双重所有格所修饰的名词与 of 短语中的名词之间是部分与整体的关系,如 a picture of my father’s(我父亲的一张照片,父亲有很多照片,这是其中一张)和 a picture of my father(我父亲本人的一张照片,照片上是父亲)意义不同 。
4. 特殊所有格情况:表示店铺、诊所、住宅等的名词所有格,其后的名词常省略,如 the doctor’s(诊所);my uncle’s(我叔叔家) 。
