第四部分:写作(共两节,满分 40 分)
第一节 应用文:
Recently, AI translation tools have become popular among students for English writing.
While these tools bring convenience, I firmly believe that over-reliance on them is harmful to
students’ language learning progress. The reasons are as follows.
Firstly, using AI translation tools means less practice, discouraging students from improving
grammar and vocabulary. Additionally, AI-generated translations often fail to capture the cultural
and contextual details, which may lead to misunderstandings. Last but not least, excessive
dependence on these tools can weaken students’ creativity. Students may end up with uniform and
unoriginal content, as the tool limits their ability to think outside the box and express unique
viewpoints.
To conclude, AI translation tools should serve as learning aids rather than a replacement for
personal effort.
第二节 读后续写:
Paragraph 1:
Oliver approached Mia, who was carefully improving her painting. Oliver took a deep breath
and gathered his courage. His voice was unsteady as he admitted his lie about the paint spill. For a
moment, Mia’s expression was unreadable, making Oliver’s stomach twist with anxiety. But then
her face softened, and she simply nodded, accepting his apology. Relief washed over Oliver like a
warm wave. “Let’s fix it together,” Mia grinned. With a shared look of determination, they got to
work. Transforming the red spots into blooming flowers, they added green leaves and a vivid blue
sky. Their silent teamwork was efficient, turning the ruined drawing into a vibrant garden scene.
Paragraph 2:
The day of the art show arrived. Oliver and Mia stood nervously beside their artwork, palms
sweating. As people began to gather around their piece, whispers of praise filled the air. One
teacher pointed at the creative fix, smiling in admiration. Mr. Johnson, invited as a guest, gave
them an approving thumbs-up. “We did it!” Mia turned to Oliver and beamed. Oliver felt a sense
of relief and pride wash over him. Not only did honesty save his friendship but also led to a
beautiful creation. At that moment, Oliver knew that as long as he embraced honesty and nurtured
the friendships he cherished, every day would be an adventure filled with color, joy, and the true
essence of life.

听力原文:
Text 1
W: Where is Mary? We’d like her to stay for lunch.
M: Well, thanks a lot. But Mary has to meet her uncle at the airport.
Text 2
W: Do you want to have a salad for lunch?
M: No, Mom. I need some energy for my afternoon classes. How about some fried eggs or a cheese
sandwich?
Text 3
M: How about taking a train to the zoo today?
W: No. Let’s walk through the Central Park instead. I need some exercise.
M: That will be fun! If we get tired, we can get on a bus, anyway.
Text 4
M: Let’s hurry up! We need to be at Lena’s house at 11:00 am.
W: I just got a text from her, Brian. She’d like us to arrive half an hour later. So, we have some extra
time now.
Text 5
W: James didn’t even say “hi” when he passed by me today. I feel so hurt!
M: I wouldn’t be surprised, because maybe he didn’t notice you.
Text 6
M: Would you like to go out for dinner tonight?
W: I’d love to. What time?
M: Would 7:30 be OK? Or 7:00 if you want to go earlier.
W: No, 7:30 is fine. I finish work at 5:00.
M: Shall I pick you up from your house?
W: It’s hard to find a parking space near where I live. Could I meet you at the restaurant?
M: Yes, that’s fine. Well, there’s an Italian restaurant in town, or would you prefer Indian or Thai
food?
W: Italian food sounds fine.
Text 7
M: I’d like to post this package to Australia, please.
W: Certainly. What are the contents of the package?
M: They’re three books.
W: What is the total value of the contents?
M: Each book is $15, so $45 in total.
W: Would you like to buy insurance for the package for $5?
M: Yes, please.
W: OK, so with the size of the package, we can send it standard post, which will take 10 days.
M: Is there anything faster?
W: Yes, airmail only takes two days but it’s $20.
M: That’s fine. Let’s go with that.
W: OK. Then you need to pay $25 altogether.
Text 8
W: Guess what came in the mail today?

M: What?
W: My acceptance letter to Yale!
M: Wow. Congratulations! When do classes start?
W: In the first week of September, but I want to go a week before that to get settled in.
M: You’re so lucky! Do you have to do many things before you leave?
W: Yes, I’ll be very busy! I have to get a visa, buy a plane ticket, and pack my things. But first, I
want to register for classes.
M: When can you do that?
W: I can start looking now. Do you want to help me decide which classes to take?
M: Sure. What’s your major?
W: I hope to major in English literature. But the admissions advisor told me that many people
change their majors many times in their first year, so I’ll see. Let’s begin.
Text 9
M: Gina, Gina...Gina? What are you doing?
W: Oh, I was just thinking about our conversation with Lucy the other night. I hope she can find
someplace to take flying lessons.
M: I was surprised. I had no idea that Lucy was interested in learning how to fly.
W: Yeah. Did you know she wants to leave her job and go back to school? She says she doesn’t have
enough responsibility as a nurse. She wants to be a doctor. I hope her dream comes true.
M: Me too. By the way, are you still thinking about opening an Italian restaurant?
W: I wish I could. But I can’t do that unless I have a lot of money.
M: I know. Sometimes I wish we’d win a lot of money. But we need to be more realistic. Why don’t
you consider teaching an Italian cooking class? You’re a great cook and you could do it here at
home.
W: Gee, Frank, that’s not a bad idea. I could get more experience and build a reputation. Eventually,
I might be able to teach an evening class at one of the community colleges.
M: See? Aren’t you glad you married me? I have good ideas sometimes.
Text 10
I’ve played music all my life, ever since I could pick up a guitar, and I started writing music
at a very young age, too. At first, I was really inspired by nature as I grew up beside the forest. A
small river was flowing in front of my house. It was a great childhood, really, living among the
flowers and trees and wild animals. Things got a lot harder when I got into my teens because my
sister passed away. She was a gifted singer and my best friend, so her memory and music inspire
me the most when I write songs. She’s always right beside me. Now, I live in the city, and a bunch
of my songs are about problems in the city — like how busy it gets, the constant noise, and how
you can feel alone even when you’re surrounded by people. But even with all that, I try to keep
my music light and fun. I want to make tunes that lift people up and spread a bit of joy.

A bird-themed hairpin-complete with twigs and flower blossoms-won Zhang Yupeng
a gold medal at a jewelry craft event at the 47th WorldSkills Competition in Lyon,France,in
September.
Zhang enrolled at the Beijing Arts and Design Technology Institute in 2017.Still just a
youngster,he didn't have a clear plan for his future, and says he was acting like a naughty boy.It
wasn't until the following year, when he had to choose a major, that he turned over a new leaf
after being impressed as he watched his seniors fashion delicate and sparkly jewelry with their
bare hands. He decided to opt for jewelry design. But as he'd previously been lazy about
studying,he developed his drawing and crafting skills from scratch."I don't even remember
how many sheets of paper I used, how many pens I wore out,or how many failed pieces I
made,"he says. His diligence finally woke his innate talent, enabling him to quickly master
indispensable skills and get them down to a fine art.
At the 47th WorldSkills Competition,Zhang was up against contestants from more than a
dozen countries, and stood out for being the only one to pull off all the tasks with all four
modules."There was a module that tested creativity, and I fashioned three different petals and
inserted them at different positions along the hairpin to symbolize the early, middle and late
stages of life,"he says.Zhang owes his success to all the difficulties he encountered. He still
remembers his instructor,Zhao Kaiyue telling him that results were secondary, and what was
important was to identify any issues, and think about how to improve.
Zhang was one of the 68 Chinese contestants who competed in all 59 skill discipline
categories.They took home 36 gold,nine silver,and four bronze medals.

Everyone is familiar with the colors of the foods they eat.You normally associate salads
with green,apples with red,and rice with pink-wait a second,rice is white!
Well,scientists have synthesized (a new,pinkish rice known as 'meaty'rice.If
commercialized, this option could be much cheaper than traditional meat in several countries. In
South Korea, hybrid rice would be $13 cheaper than the average $15 per kilo of beef.
Recently, scientists in South Korea discovered that rice could be a good base for meat cells
to grow in as the enzymes()and conditions that the rice provides make it an excellent catalyst
for the growth of meat cells. When meat cells were allowed to grow in rice for 11 days, scientists
found the final product contained eight percent more protein and seven percent more fat. Some
researchers even claim that it has the potential to carry all the vital nutrients we need.
Meaty rice has the potential to reduce our impact on the environment and is efficient in
terms of cost and emissions.Currently, beef produces around 50 kg of carbon dioxide for every
100 grams of protein produced compared to the roughly 6 kg of emissions that hybrid rice
produces.Raising livestock also requires more resources like water which is getting scarce.
Some countries like Singapore, the Netherlands, and the United States have already sanctioned
lab-grown meat.Meaty rice could be a valuable food source in the military and for space
exploration as well as to provide relief during famines.
However, many people find the idea of eating food created by a scientific lab unnatural and
unappetizing.Italy, for example, recently became the first country in the world to ban lab-grown
meat. The country's Minister of Agriculture shared that the purpose of the ban was to protect
Italian traditions and farmers.
One thing to note is that the term "lab-grown"is used loosely. Many people associate the
term with"artificial"or"manufactured".While some lab-grown products meet that description,
meaty rice is made from naturally growing meat cells. So,while it is indeed grown in a lab,the
process itself is natural.
28.What can we know about meaty rice?
A.It contains all the nutrients we need.
B.It is $2 cheaper than traditional meat.
C.It is different in color from traditional rice.
D.It provides enzymes for meat cells to grow.
29.What does the underlined word"sanctioned"in paragragh 4 probably mean?
A.Approved.B.Banned.
C.Avoided.
D.Replaced.
30.Why did Italy ban lab-grown meat?
A.Because it has a bad taste.
B.Because it lacks nutritive value.
C.Because it may harm traditional farming.
D.Because it may be resisted by local people.
31.What is the author's attitude to meaty rice?
A.Proud.
B.Indifferent.
C.Objective.
D.Opposed.

One of the keys to tackling climate change is switching to sustainable energy. That means
more solar power, wind turbines, electric cars, etc. However, there is a major obstacle when it
comes to their design and manufacture(t量生产)方they require rare earth metals,.like nickel
and cobalt,to build.
Traditionally, rare earth metals are extracted through a long process that involves using
dangerous, carcinogenic (cancer-causing)chemicals.The chemicals used to extract and process
the ions (must be used in massive quantities due to their limited effectiveness, and their
use and disposal are both extremely expensive and environmentally unfriendly. Not only that,
but most of the metal is wasted. That is where the biosorption comes in.It is the process by
which certain bacteria naturally change waste products like metal ions and compounds into
nanoparticles(纳米颗粒)of solid metals..
Bacteria undergo this process naturally, but scientists are searching for ways to genetically
engineer them to work more efficiently and target specific metals rather than multiple types at
once.To study this process, scientists mainly targeted bacteria that can process metals in
batteries, especially lithium. They found that the bacteria were able to efficiently turn the metal
ions into solid lithium, and other strains could process cobalt,manganese,and/or nickel,
demonstrating the incredible potential of biosorption in manufacturing.
Biosorption will be a part of building a circular economy where metals are efficiently
mined, processed, and recycled with as little waste as possible.More work needs to be done to
scale this technology. As a next step, scientists are hoping to demonstrate that the extracted
metals can indeed be used in new batteries and devices.
As countries around the world work to push forward a cleaner, more sustainable economy,
bacteria may have a larger role to play in the future of manufacturing.
32.Which of the following is a disadvantage of the traditional extraction?
A.It is environmentally harmful.
B.It produces low-quality metals.
C.It requires a large amount of manpower.
D.It can only extract particular types of metals
33.What does the underlined word"them"in paragraph 3 refer to?
A.Metals.B.Bacteria.C.Ions.
D.Scientists.
34.What is the potential role of biosorption in building a circular economy?
A.It can replace traditional mining methods.
B.It can help recycle metals with minimal waste.
C.It can be applied to the extraction of many metals.
D.It can promote the large-scale production of batteries.
35.Which of the following is a suitable title for the text?
A.The Future of Circular Economy
B.Bacteria Help Extract Rare Earth Metals
C.The Ways to Switch to Sustainable Energy
D.Biosorption Plays a Key Role in Manufacturing

39 Honest communication:clearly express that you don't want to hurt or exclude
them.Show you are honoring someone's wish to be included while explaining the situation's
complexity.Being clear and kind helps prevent misunderstandings. In order to strike a balance,
remember, you should care about others'feelings as well as your own.Be kind and sensitive to
others'feelings.40
A.What changes can you make?
B.How can you deal with the problem?
C.The conflict can be tricky to manage.

Oliver,a bright twelve-year-old with curly brown hair, lived in the lively town of Willow
Creek.Every day after school,he would rush home to his favorite spot-a strong oak tree with
a swing in the backyard to read. But today was different. He had a secret that made his heart race,
but not in the good way.
At school, during art class,Oliver accidentally spilled (red paint on his friend Mia's
drawing.In panic,he lied,saying the paintbrush slipped.Deep down,he knew he had been
careless, and the lie weighed heavily on him.Mia had been so excited about her drawing for the
coming school art show.He worried he had ruined it.
With a sigh,Oliver decided to take a walk to clear his mind.He wandered down the
familiar path to Willow Creek Park. There,he saw Mr.Johnson,a retired headmaster. He had a
kind smile that made Oliver feel at ease.
"Hello,Oliver!"Mr.Johnson called, waving him over."What brings you here on this fine
day?"

hurt, but it also solves the problem and makes things better,"Mr.Johnson added thoughtfully.
"If you're honest with Mia,you can work together to fix the drawing.Remember, friendship
