①Do you have true friends? Who do you usually ask for help? Do you want to know better between you and your friends? There are three different kinds of friends: “pest fiends”, “guest friends”, and “best friends”.
②The first kind of friends is simply an acquaintance. All you usually know about them is their names. You may meet this kind of friends at school, at work, or on the bus, but you don’t miss them when they’re not around. When this kind of friends does something bad, you don’t tell them. That is why they are called “pest friends”.
③The second kind of friends could also be called “social partners”. They are closer than acquaintances, but not as close as true friends. You know their names, a little of what they like or dislike, and a little of their family histories. You usually have a few things in common, but you don’t talk about anything deep, such as your wishes or fears, and they don’t open up to you how they really feel.
④The last kind of friends, the “best friend”, is the one you know the deepest. You’re like family, and know everything about each other. You have no problem staying at each other’s houses, and you share your deepest feelings and thoughts. They will correct you when you’re wrong. Sometimes they may not be perfect, but at least they will always care about you, and never do anything on purpose (故意地) to hurt you.
⑤We all have our pest, guest, and best friends. We should value all friendships and remember, all best friends start out as just acquaintances.
26. The underlined word “acquaintance” in Paragraph 2 probably means ________ in Chinese.
A. 熟人 B. 陌生人 C. 同事 D. 邻居
27. If you and John are neighbors and classmates, and do things together, but don’t share your feelings, you are ________.
A. pest friends B. guest friends C. best friends D. true friends
28. The fourth paragraph mainly tells us ________.
A. what a best friend is B. how to make a best friend
C. how to learn from your best friends D. a best friend can help to correct you
29. From the passage, we can learn that ________.
A. a best friend hardly does anything bad to you
B. a pest friend will never become your best friend
C. pest friends are more important than guest friends
D. we miss our best friends when we’re not with them
30. Which of the following shows the structure (结构) of the passage?

【28题详解】
主旨大意题。根据文章“The last kind of friends, the ‘best friend’, is the one you know the deepest.”和整段内容可知,第四段主要讲述了什么是“最好的朋友”。故选A。

They are closer than acquaintances...”可知,社交朋友比熟人朋友更亲近,也就是更重要,选项C不符合文意。故选D。

Artificial intelligence (AI) is part of our everyday life. It makes our smart devices (智能装备) work. Some chatbots are especially popular. Ask a chatbot a question, and it will create a whole passage. Some teachers and parents worry that chatbots could prevent (阻止) students from learning on their own. Should students use AI to do their homework? Here are two students’ different answers.
AI could change the way students learn. Many people worry that chatbots can be used as cheating (欺骗) tool. But safeguards (保护措施) are always being improved. And chatbots can guide students through questions instead of giving them the answers. Chatbots can work with teachers, too. They can help teachers create lesson plans for students. And AI tutors (导师) can provide much support for students. AI is here to stay. Move with the times, or the times will move without you!
—Dylan Patel,13 San Diego, California
Schoolwork should teach kids skills and develop their brains. Technology can be a useful tool. But kids need to learn to do basic (基础的) tasks on their own. This is why kids learn how to do math, even though we have calculators (计算器). And it’s why schools teach handwriting and spelling, when most adults write using computers. Kids’ brains need to be exercised to develop, just like their bodies. AI may be good for adults, but it would be bad for children if they used AI before they mastered (掌握) the building blocks (构成要素) of an education.
—Harper Carroll,10 Boston, Massachusetts

A. Chatbots may give students wrong answers.
B. AI can’t make smart devices work all the time.

D. chatbots can make different plans for different students

A. Students have trouble using AI.
B. Students should use AI technology.
C. AI will become less important in the future.

A. It can let kids do basic tasks.
B. It can help kids train their brains.
C. It is bad for the development of children.
D. It is the building blocks of an education.

【34题详解】
观点态度题。根据“AI may be good for adults, but it would be bad for children if they used AI before they mastered the building blocks of an education.”

A smile shows that a person is happy. For example, a person may smile when he or she is happy with a grade on a test. Or a person might smile if a friend told a funny joke. People smile for many different reasons. But smiles are more than just a way for people to show that they are happy. There are other good reasons to smile often.
First, it is easier to smile than to show unhappiness. In fact, it only takes 17 muscles (肌肉) to smile. On the other hand, it takes 43 muscles to show unhappiness. So give the muscles in your face a rest and smile!
Second, smiles are nice. People may try to look nice on the outside by exercising or wearing nice clothes. However, there is a famous saying: a smile is the best thing a person can wear. That is because it is easy to make friends with someone who is smiling and happy. Almost no one wants to be around someone who is unhappy all the time.
Third, smiles are helpful. Both smiling and laughing can quickly spread from one person to another. If one person smiles, people around him or her want to smile, too. Similarly, when a person laughs, people tend to laugh with them. If a person is sad, the best thing to do is to share a smile or laugh. It is the easiest and cheapest way to cheer someone up.
Finally, smiling and laughing are very good for the body. Even if you are mad, try smiling. You’ll find that it will be hard to stay mad or sad for very long.

第四部分 书面表达(共两节,计35分)
第一节 阅读表达(共5小题,计5分)
阅读下面短文,并根据短文内容回答问题。
