(限时30分钟)
Ⅰ.阅读理解
A
It's a small piece—merely a square brick drawing a curlyhaired Archangel Gabriel—but it may be the oldest surviving artwork by the Renaissance master Leonardo da Vinci. If confirmed, this painting may show historians what Da Vinci looked like as a teenager. That's because the 1471 creation may,in fact,be a selfportrait(自画像) Da Vinci made when he was just 18 years old.
However, many doubt the artwork's authenticity(真实性).Martin Kemp,a retired professor of art history at Oxford University who is a Leonardo expert, dismissed the claim absolutely.“The chance of its being by Leonardo is less than zero,” Kemp told The Guardian.“The silly season for Leonardo never closes.”
The nearly 8inchby8inch square brick may contain clues linking it to Da Vinci, according to Ernesto Solari,an art historian and Da Vinci expert, and Ivana Rosa Bonfantino,a handwriting expert. Both say that a signature and date written on the angel's jawline—which reads “Leonardo da Vinci” with the date “1471”—closely match Da Vinci's handwriting.
Next to the 1471 date are the numbers 52 and 72.It's possible that the 52 is a reference to 1452,Leonardo's birth year.Meanwhile, the 7 and 2 may refer to the letters “G” and “B” (G is the seventh letter of the alphabet, and B is the second),which could stand for Gabriel.“These numbers are more than a signature. It is typical of the famous puzzles that he loved all his life,” Solari said.
When analyzing the handwriting,Bonfantino reviewed documents known to belong to Da Vinci.Bonfantino noticed that the “1” in the 1471 date was shorter than the other numbers, which matched the previous examples of Da Vinci's writing.
1.What does the passage tell about the painting?
A.It is higher more than eightinch.
B.It is a selfportrait drawn by historians.
C.It may be the oldest artwork drawn by Leonardo da Vinci.
D.It is only a square piece with a curlyhaired male character.
2.What does Martin Kemp think of “the selfportrait of Da Vinci”?
A.Authentic. B.Skeptical.
C.Valuable. D.Silly.
3.Why do Solari and Bonfantino think the painting contains clues about Da Vinci?
A.It is typical of him to express love.
B.It has an important influence on him.
C.The numbers next to the 1471 are his birthday.
D.The signature and date are the same as his handwriting.
4.What may be the best title for the text?
A.A Doubtful Painting from Da Vinci
B.A Discussion About the Oldest Artwork
C.An Introduction to Da Vinci's Painting
D.A Description of Da Vinci's Handwriting

(2025·河北唐山模拟)At my first lesson in Chinese calligraphy,my teacher told me plainly:“Now I will teach you how to write your name. And to make it beautiful.” I felt my breath catch.I was curious.
Growing up in Singapore,I had an unusual relationship with my Chinese name.My parents are ethnically Chinese,so they asked fortune tellers to decide my name, aiming for maximum luck.As a result,I ended up with a nonsense and embarrassing name:Chen Yiwen, meaning, roughly,“old” “barley(薏米)” and “warm”.
When I arrived in America for college at 18,I put on an American accent and abandoned my Chinese name. When I moved to Hong Kong in 2021,after 14 years in the States,I decided to learn calligraphy. Why not get back in touch with my heritage?I thought.
In calligraphy, the idea is to copy the old masters' techniques, thereby refining your own.Every week, though,my teacher would give uncomfortably onthenose assessments of my person.“You need to be braver,” he once observed,“Have confidence.Try to produce a bold stroke(笔画).” For years,I had prided myself on presenting an image of confidence, but my writing betrayed me.
I was trying to make sense of this practice. You must visualize the word as it is to be written and leave a trace of yourself in it.As a bodily practice, calligraphy could go beyond its own cultural restrictions.Could it help me go beyond mine?My teacher once said to me,“When you look at the word, you see the body.Though a word on the page is twodimensional,it contains multitudes, conveying the force you've applied, the energy of your grip, the arch of your spine.” I had been learning calligraphy to get in touch with my cultural roots, but what I was really seeking was a return to myself. Now I have sensed that the pleasure out of calligraphy allows me to know myself more fully.
During a recent lesson,my teacher pointed at the word I had just finished, telling me:“This word is much better.I can see the choices you made, your calculations, your flow.Trust yourself. This word is yours.” He might as well have said,“This word is you.”

Tigers are hunted for many reasons.People have long valued the famous striped skins.Though trading tiger skins is now illegal in most parts of the world, they are worth around $10,000 on the blackmarket.3.______ Many Asian cultures believe that various tiger parts have healing properties.
4.______ However, perhaps more damage has been caused through the destruction of habitats.Tigers once ranged widely across Asia, but over the past 100 years, tigers have lost 93% of their historic range.
A major obstacle to preserving tigers is the enormous amount of territory that each tiger requires. Each wild tiger demands between 200 and 300 square miles.Tigers are also both territorial and solitary(独居的) animals.5.______ Since tigers need so much territory,it is difficult for conservationists to acquire land enough to support a large population of tigers.Even when these considerable spaces are provided,it is even more difficult to move around such large areas to prevent the illegal hunting. There is no easy way to preserve the wild tiger population without making large sacrifices.
