Assimilation 音的同化
当两个音相邻时,其中一个音常常受另一个音的影响而变成与其临音相同,或相似,或变成第三个音,这种变音现象叫作音的同化。
在英语中,“t/d+y”连读时常常会发生音变,当t后面紧跟半元音y时,发音近似于/tʃ/。例如:Nice to meet you中meet you连读为/mi:tʃu:/;当d后面紧跟半元音y时,发音近似于/dʒ/。例如:Would you like some tea?中Would you连读为/wʊdʒu:/。
