专题四　形容词与副词 一 形容词的概念与句法功能 　　形容词用于修饰、限定名词或代词，表示人或事物的性质、状态和特征。 二 副词的概念与句法功能 　　副词用来修饰动词、形容词、另一个副词或整个句子。副词有时也可以修饰介词短语，表示时间、地点、程度、方式等。 三 形容词、副词的比较级和最高级 (一)构成 温馨提示 高程度”或“绝对状态”的形容词和副词没有比较级和最高级，如favourite，perfect，excellent，wrong，right，unique，extreme等。 (二)形容词、副词比较等级的常见句型 拓展延伸 1.比较级形式表达最高级的含义 (1)“否定词＋比较级”或“否定词＋such/so ...as”结构表示最高级含义。 Your story is perfect; I've never heard a better one before. 你的故事太完美了，我从来没有听过比这更好的故事。 (2)比较级在以下几种结构中均表示最高级含义： ①比较级＋than＋any other＋单数名词 ②比较级＋than＋all the other＋复数名词 ③比较级＋than＋any of the other＋复数名词 The Changjiang River is longer than any other river/than all the other rivers/than any of the other rivers in China. 长江比中国的其他任何一条河都长。 2．常见的倍数表达法 (1)A＋be＋倍数＋比较级＋than＋B This hall is five times bigger than our classroom. 这个大厅是我们教室的五倍大。 (2)A＋be＋倍数＋as＋原级＋as＋B This line is three times as long as that one. 这根线是那根线的三倍长。 (3)A＋be＋倍数＋the＋名词(size, length, height等)＋of＋B This street is four times the length of that one. 这条街是那条街的四倍长。 (4)the＋名词(size, length, height等)＋of＋A＋be＋倍数＋that＋of＋B The length of this street is four times that of that one. 这条街是那条街的四倍长。 (5)A＋be＋倍数＋what引导的名词性从句 The population now in this village is five times what it was ten years ago. 现在，这个村庄的人口是十年前的五倍。 四 形容词变副词的变化规则 五 常考易混形容词、副词辨析 “三招定向”解决语法填空中的形容词和副词问题 1．利用提示词 (1)看到提示词在名词前作定语，在系动词后作表语，或在宾语后作宾语补足语，要想到用形容词； (2)看到提示词修饰动词、形容词、副词，或修饰整个句子作状语时，要想到用副词。 对点训练 ①In some crowded(crowd) cities, the car has polluted the air so badly that people get sick just from breathing it. ②(2022·浙江1月卷)On a website called No Fly Climate Sci, for example，roughly(rough) 200 academics—many of them climate scientists—have promised to fly as little as possible since the effort started two years ago. ③We are so proud of her. It's wonderful(wonder). ④They also shared with us many traditional(tradition) stories about Hawaii that were hugely popular with tourists. 2．利用标志词 (1)若是两者之间相比，且空格后有than，要想到用形容词或副词的比较级； (2)and, or, but等并列连词连接的平行结构，如果其中之一是比较级，要想到另一并列成分也应用比较级； (3)注意使用比较等级的固定搭配或句型。例如： ①the＋比较级 ..., the＋比较级 ... ②the＋最高级＋标志性词语或从句 对点训练 ①The harder(hard) you try to beat him, the more likely you will get hit. ②Technology is getting better and cheaper(cheap). ③During the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, Beijing Opera finally formed and became the biggest(big) of all operas in China. ④Road safety has aroused wider(wide) attention of the public than before. 3．利用修饰语 (1)看到much, still, even, a lot, a little, a great deal, (by) far, a bit等修饰语以及百分数，要想到用比较级； (2)看到by far, nearly, almost, by no means, not really等修饰语以及序数词，要想到用最高级。 对点训练 ①In fact, people are much closer(close) to dogs in a way than to cows, pigs or even horses. ②Please don't misunderstand me.
