特别提醒
使用该结构时需要注意两点:
①前后两个句子的主语不同;
② be 动词、助动词、情态动词在时态上要和前句的谓语动词保持一致,在数上要与本句主语保持一致。

“So +主语+ be 动词/助动词/情态动词”意为“的确如此”,表示赞同前者的说法或观点,前后的主语指的是用一个人或物。

be about to do sth. “即将/正要做某事”,表示即将发生的动作,在时间上指最近的将来。

The new school year is about to begin.

be about to do sth. 不与表示将来的具体的时间连用,但可与 when 引导的时间状语从句搭配使用。

3. somebody,anybody,nobody与everybody的用法:
①somebody意为“某人;有人”,只表示人,作主语时跟单数动词,一般用在肯定句中。如:
Somebody is waiting outside. 有人在外面等。
②anybody意为“任何人”,只表示人,作主语时跟单数动词,一般用于否定句、疑问句或条件句中。如:
Does anybody else want to go? 还有别人要去吗?
You may ask anybody here for help. 你可以请求这里的任何人帮忙。

③nobody意为“无人;没有人”,只表示人,常用在肯定句中,表示否定意义,相当于not...anybody。如:
There is nobody here. 没有人在这里。
④everybody意为“每人,人人”,everybody与everyone 同义,作主语时,谓语动词用单数。如:
Everybody is here today except Jim. 今天除了吉姆之外,每个人都在这儿。

4. a couple of与a pair of的用法:
①a couple of意为“两个人;两件事物;几个人;几件事物”,常指同类事物中的任意两个或几个,不一定是成对的或成双使用的。如:
She has a couple of friends at school.
她在学校有两个朋友。
I have a couple of offers from Hollywood.
我已经拿到了几个好莱坞的片约。

②a pair of意为“一双/对/副/条/把……”,通常指成对的或成对使用的东西,以及在使用时彼此不能分开的两部分构成的东西。如一双鞋、一把剪刀和一条裤子。如:

连读现象在英语考试听力中极为常见。连读即连在一起读,就是两个或多个分属不同单词的音素因为相邻或语速较快等原因而连在一起读出的现象。

如何处理连读音?
1. 多听是首要;
2. 学会模仿音频。

(1) 在同一个意群里,如果相邻两词中的前一个词是以辅音结尾,后一个词是以元音开头,这就要将辅音与元音拼起来连读。
