Do you like animals? There are some interesting facts. Let’s look at them.
Octopuses (章鱼) have more hearts than other animals. Two of the hearts work only to move blood to their gills (鳃). The third heart put blood into the other parts of body. When an octopus swims, the third heart stops working.
Hummingbirds (蜂鸟) are the only birds that can fly backwards. Why is that? Most birds move their wings (翅膀) upwards (向上) and downwards. But Hummingbirds’ wings beat backwards and forward. The birds are only 2 to 3 centimeters in size and they can beat their wings about 8 to 200 times a second.
Elephants are the only mammals (哺乳动物) that can’t jump. The bones in their legs are all pointed downwards, so they don’t have the “spring (弹簧)” to help them jump off the ground. Elephants always live in groups to protect themselves.

Hobbies Make Better Friendship
My best friend Tom and I both love basketball. We spend every weekend practicing together. Last month, our team joined a school championship. During the final match, Tom fell and hurt his ankle. I immediately helped him to the nurse’s room and stayed to cheer him up. Though we didn’t win, our friendship grew stronger through this experience.
This taught me that true friendship means trust and helping each other. Hobbies connect hearts, and challenges make bonds unbreakable. I’ll always treasure this special friendship!
