Tony and George were painting freely. Each of them had a
bottle of blue paint(油漆) and a bottle of yellow paint.
Suddenly George said, “Look, Tony! I made
green!”
“How did you do it?” asked Tony.
“I put yellow paint on top of my blue paint—yellow and
blue together make green!” shouted George. The other
children came around to watch and wanted to do it themselves.

Hands-on learning is good for children. The learner takes
an active part in it instead of just sitting and listening. This is
the way that we want our children to learn. In order to learn
best, children must take an active part in hands-on activities
every day. Some good examples of hands-on activities are
working on puzzles, painting, playing simple board games
together and so on.

The world’s first large language model(LLM) for moon
study is coming! It makes moon study much faster and easier
than before.
The new tool came out in August at the China
International Big Data Industry Expo in Guiyang, Guizhou.
The Chinese Academy of Sciences’ Institute of Geochemistry(中
国科学院地球化学研究所) and the Alibaba Cloud Intelligence
Group made it together.

The LLM is the “smart brain” for the digital moon,
which has the most moon information in one place in the
world, said Xinhua.
On the moon, there are more than 1 million big craters
(大坑) and lots of small ones. It’s really hard for scientists to find all these holes by themselves. The LLM can tell and remember different craters by size, depth(深度) and shape.

According to Liu Jianzhong, a researcher at the Institute
of Geochemistry, the model is correct more than 80 percent of

Working things out faster helps scientists learn more

Using big AI models for moon science can also teach
researchers how to explore other planets better.

The first sentence tells a lot about the whole passage. For
example, if at the very beginning, you hear “Many shops in

Japanese goods off their shelves but some people say it’s not a
good idea. Our reporter says...”, you know you will hear a
piece of news, not a children’s story, or a science report.

With the development of society, to learn well is not the
only thing a student should do. To be a qualified middle school
student, I think we have a lot of things to do.
In my opinion, in school, we need to develop good
reading habits and improve ourselves. And we should work
