This incident changed my life greatly. A big responsibility hit me when I was very young,
which prevented me from achieving my dream and goals.
On 19th May 2019, my father lost his job. We planned to start our own transportation
business. In the beginning, it went well. Even though there were ups and downs in that field, we
were able to earn a living without anyone蒺s help.
It all changed when a do鄄gooder found my father to help improve our business. My father
was not interested in the offer given. A few months later, after the do鄄gooder蒺s continuous
persuasion, my father accepted the do鄄gooder蒺s advice considering the relationship they had for a
long time. He didn蒺t want to ruin the relationship. But we really didn蒺t know what would happen
later.
Three months later, business didn蒺t turn up well. My father felt stressful. A lot of fees
couldn蒺t be paid on time and much worse, the stress was from the do鄄gooder himself. He started

us. People always look you up when you蒺re in the right position, but once
you get down, they criticize from the top till bottom.
My father pulled his socks up to settle up all these messes. But things got worse. And this
situation let my father make a wrong decision by accepting the help from illegal Loan shark

that we treasured for years.
Almost everything that was earned by hard work just disappeared in a second. Nothing is left
except faith. Faith is the only power that pushes me to take over the responsibility that was
caused by my father. It doesn蒺t mean I hate him for what he did, but I care for him, and he蒺s my

pressure is the influence a teens social group has on him or her.
1. But it can be an especially strong influence during the teen years when peers are very
important to a teen蒺s identity. This means that teens need to learn to recognize when it is positive
and when it is negative.
Teen peer pressure is not always bad. Good friends can encourage teens to do well in school,
take part in positive activities, eat healthy foods, and avoid drugs. 2.
Negative teen peer pressure is when teens feel pressured to do something that they know is
wrong, such as smoking or stealing. 3. This is because they want to be liked or fit in,
they are afraid of being made fun of, or they want to try something other teens are doing.
Negative peer pressure will remain a part of a teen蒺s life into adulthood, which is why it is
important for teens to learn how to deal with it.
4. Decide what your values and standards are. Choose good friends who share your
values. Avoid situations where people are doing things you don蒺t want to do. 5. You can
come up with excuses if necessary. You can say that you don蒺t want to get into trouble, or
damage your body or mind. Talk to a trusted adult about the kinds of peer pressure you face and

Paragraph 1: Then one night the phone rang. Not knowing what had happened, I just saw dad蒺s face light up.
“
We蒺ll be
right over,
”
said dad. Immediately, we drove to a nearby farm. The farmer opened the barn door. Out ran a black鄄and鄄white
cat like a flash. I rubbed my eyes.
“
Checkers
!”
I cried. I scooped him up. And Checkers purred.
“
I miss you so much
!”
I
said, rubbing noses with Checkers. The farmer smiled.
“
Good thing I saw that advertisement in the paper.
”
To my great sur鄄
prise, I looked at dad, wondering.
“
You put an advertisement in the paper
?”
Paragraph 2: Dad nodded, his face turning red. As Checkers jumped up and down around dad, he patted Checkers gen鄄
tly. It was then that I realized dad was not a little concerned about our cat. Checkers batted at him with his paw. Dad
laughed.
“
That cat,
”
he said,
“
It蒺s good to have him back.
”
And I, then, warmed up by these two family members, stood up
for a while, with tears welling up in my eyes.

Dear Amy,
Knowing that you always stay up late and eat junk food, I am very worried about you. So I am writing to suggest a
change.
Living a healthy lifestyle has lots of amazing benefits. First of all, it will make you full of energy, which is what we all
need and want. Secondly, good mental health is probably the most important thing that it can bring to you. In addition, it can
help you prevent illnesses.
With the benefits above, I hope that you can switch to living a healthy lifestyle.
Yours,
Li Hua

long thin legs. It probably has its home at the top of a tall tree. Sylvie蒺s heart began to beat fast. She knew that strange

like so much. She felt her heart shake every time he talked about the bird.
Paragraph 2: The next day, when Sylvie was on her way home her eyes caught a flash of white. She knew the wild bird蒺s
secret now. The stranger was smiling happily because he was sure that she had found the white heron. But Sylvie was silent
again. She remembered how the white heron flew through the golden air and how they watched the sunrise together. Sylvie
could not speak. She could not tell the heron蒺s secret and give its life away.

Paragraph 1: Suddenly, Jim went ahead of Tim. The crowd cheered for him. Soon, it was clear that Jim was going to
beat Tim. However, when they were just a few meters away from the finishing line, Tim surprisingly sped up and ran ahead
of Jim and reached the finishing line. Tim surprised everyone with his wonderful performance. He received the trophy. On
the other hand, Jim felt very sad. He cried sadly for his failure in the race.
Paragraph 2: Jim蒺s mother came to Tim. She praised him for his hard work and said,
“
You deserve it for your effort!
”
“
Thanks, Madam!
”
Tim replied with an open smile and walked happily with his trophy. Jim hung his head sadly. His mo鄄

“
Look Jim, that boy put efforts and got rewarded in the end. Hard work is the only way to suc鄄

”
Now, Jim understood the importance of hard work. He also realized that he shouldn蒺t be too confident about himself.
This experience brought about a big change in his life.

One possible version:
The idea of sustainable development has been accepted by the world. How to keep sustainable development is a big
problem facing our planet.
The present situation is worrying. First, natural resources are becoming less than before. Second, as some people are not
aware of the importance of the environmental protection, the problems with it remain extremely serious to some degree. The
gap between the rich and the poor has the tendency to become wider and wider.
To our great joy, many countries have taken action. On one hand, they have made relevant laws and regulations and put
large amounts of money to the environmental protection. On the other hand, popularized education as well as international
cooperation is being carried out.
As for myself, I should take the responsibility to devote myself to sustainable development, or our future and the lives
of our children and our grandchildren will be in danger.
