It was a Saturday morning. My father and I walked in a park. When I saw some people shooting arrows (箭) on the square, I decided to have a try.
A girl of my age was having her second try. She picked up an arrow and shot it. But it missed the target (靶子)! She tried a third time, and failed again. She just gave up and walked away.
Then it was my turn to shoot. I fixed my eyes on the target. With all of my efforts, I shot the arrow. It missed! I shot three more arrows. I failed them all. I was upset and wanted to leave.
My father encouraged me to take one more shot. I held my breath, stared at the target and shot the arrow. Again, I missed the target! But I got closer to it. I kept trying and finally I made it! “See, son. Nobody is born to do well in everything. Never give up, and you can do it,” said my father.
From this experience, I realize that challenges in life are not as difficult as they seem to be. If we focus on them, learn from failure (失败), and keep trying, we can succeed in the end.

What does my experience in the countryside mean to me? I didn’t understand it until I was older.
When I was a little girl, my parents were busy and got back home late. I tried to do something to help. I thought a prepared dough (面团) could help my parents to cook noodles faster. At first I didn’t know that was so difficult. The dough was made either too soft or too hard. After keeping trying many times, I succeeded making a dough! I got such a strong feeling of satisfaction when I enjoyed the noodles and saw the look of joy on my parents' faces. They were proud of me. Later I learned to cook fried dishes and dumplings. Last summer vacation, my parents took me on a trip to Xi’an, an ancient cultural city. We visited the Terracotta Army (兵马俑) which is known as the eighth wonder of the world.
Seeing the Terracotta Army was a wonderful experience. The Army had different kinds of soldiers (士兵) in it, and they were all tall and powerful. Their hair, expressions, clothes and shoes were different. Even the lines of their hair could be seen clearly. It was amazing. Chinese ancient workers must be very skilled. It’s said that the steps to piece (拼合) them together were very difficult, and some of them have not been pieced well after forty years. Along with the soldiers, there were other terracotta products. Some of them were musicians and important people who worked for the emperor.
According to the guide, the Emperor Qin Shi Huang’s Mausoleum (陵墓) Site Museum covers an area of about 5.6 million square meters. There are about 8,000 men and horses in this army. Qin Shi Huang ordered workers to make this army to protect himself after his death. About 700,000 men worked on the Terracotta Army. It took thirty-nine years to complete the work.
My visit to the Terracotta Army left me an unforgettable experience. I shared my travel notes with my friends. We’re proud of our Chinese culture! The Terracotta Army shows the highest level of art at that time. It’s not only an artwork, but also the result of people’s talents. The Terracotta Army is the treasure of human culture.

When people watch movies, they often care what to see. However, what to hear is also very important. The voices of the characters help to bring them to life. Lyu Yanting, 37, is the voice actor for little Nezha in the movie Ne Zha 2. She uses her voice to create a strong Nezha who fights against his fate (命运).
“Dubbing (配音) is a lot like acting,” said Lyu. Voice actors get the story first. After reading it, they have their own understanding of the story and characters. During dubbing, Lyu needs to show the character’s feelings. She must match her voice with the scenes (情节). “The director is very important. He explained the whole story to me carefully.
