一、Teaching objectives
1. 知识目标:掌握描述物品特征的词汇:big, light, heavy, small, nice, broken, pockets, wheels。理解并运用句型It’s + 形容词. It’s got sth. It’s+形容词+for sb. to do sth.来介绍某个事物。学习用颜色、尺寸、功能等多个角度描述物品。
2. 能力目标:能听懂并复述关于“选择书包”的对话,提取关键信息。能用英语描述物品特征,并在情境中完成角色扮演。
3. 素养目标:理解故事的过程中引发学生思考,引导学生在生活中学会做选择,并敢于表达自己的想法。
二、Teaching points
1. Key point: 能掌握重点词汇:light, hard, broken, easy, department store, pocket, umbrella, sales assistant, wheel, take,以及对物品描述的句式和方式。
2. Difficult point: 学会提取文本中的重点信息,并培养进行对比的能力;建构对物品特征的描述,根据需求进行判断后做出对自己来说最合理的选择。

4、 Teaching procedure
Step 1 Warm-up
1. Self-introduction and greetings.
2. Game: Look for the treasures(adjectives).
Step 2 Lead in
1. 展示实物,介绍包包:句型:This is my bag. It’s black. It’s big.
2. 师生互动,引出课题:老师、学生通过尝试拿起重重的包,从而引出heavy这个单词;再对比感受另一个包的重量,从而引出并教授单词light。
T:(指着包)Is it big? Is it light? So we can say “It’s big and light.” 引出标题。
Step 3 Presentation & Practice
1. Watch and say: 看图说话Lingling and Ms Smart are talking about bags. 看视频回答Why do they talk about bags?从而引出broken这个单词。
2. Think: If your bag is broken, what will you do?
3. Watch and answer: What will they do? (引出department store和sales assistant)
4. Listen and answer: How many new bags are they talking about?
5. Fast reading and fill in: 快速阅读,小组合作完成表格

7. Try to say the sentences “It’s … & It’s got …” according to the form.

11. Emotional aim: Different people have different choices. What suits you and what is the best.
12. Retell the text 用自己的话复述课文
