专题04 阅读理解之说明文 (一) (2025年杭州拱墅区二模C篇) ①Climate change is happening. It is having a strong effect on areas of the world. ②Other than causing terrible storms in some places or periods of no rain for months at a time in other places, climate change has influenced the temperature of the sea near land. When the temperature of the sea changes, this influences sea animals. People who make their living in some way from the sea will have a hard time as the sea animals begin to die off. On top of this, higher temperatures are causing ice mountains to melt, which is causing sea levels around the world to rise. ③Rising sea levels are a big problem. As areas of land beside the sea go under the water, the animals that used to live in these areas are forced to find new homes. Freshwater lakes located near the seas also become filled with salt water. In addition to these lakes, certain lands that are normally wet but still above sea level become flooded. These lands are necessary for the environment because they can help take out some kinds of poisons (毒物) from water. They can also slow down or stop flooding of dry land above them. Because of the rising sea levels, some places that did not experience floods before, like farms far from the sea, now get flooded. ④Rising sea levels also have a big effect on how people live. For example, when the sea level rises and the salt water moves higher up on the land, it can go into the ground and get into areas where people get the fresh water they drink. Water from the sea is bad for cars, trucks, and boats. Bridges and roads can also be hurt by water from the sea. The walls people build to keep water out of cities and towns are in trouble, too. 1. How does the rising temperature influence sea animals? A. It makes them disappear. B. It makes them change their colors C. It makes them change their shapes D. It makes them find their new homes. 2. What can help keep the water clean according to the text? A. Salt. B. Wet lands. C. Sea animals. D. Farms far from the sea. 3. What does the underlined word “it” refer to in Paragraph 4? A. The rain. B. The sea level. C. The salt water. D. The fresh water. 4. What is the structure of the text? (P=Paragraph) A. B. C. D. (二) (2025年杭州拱墅区二模D篇) We know that AI is not a real human. However, it seems many of us can’t help treating it like one. In a survey of 2000 people in the US. 48 percent believed we should have good manners when talking to AI, said The New York Post. Scientists at the Imperial College London in the UK have made a similar discovery recently. They found that humans tend (往往会) to treat AI as human beings, showing sympathy (同情) toward them and even protecting them, Science Daily reported. In their experiment, the scientists invited 244 volunteers to play an online ball game with an AI bot. A make-believe volunteer also took part, and sometimes left out the AI on purpose by passing the ball only to human players. As the scientists watched the game, they discovered that most of the time the volunteers tried to fix the unfairness (不公平) toward the bot by giving it the ball more often. The finding is in line with the ideas of Media Equation Theory, the scientists said in their papers. Developed in the 1990s by scientists at Stanford University in the US, the theory suggests we often reply to media and technology like we do to real people and places, rather than just seeing them as tools. An example is Replika, an AI chatbot created in 2017. It has about 2 million users worldwide. “Your Replika will always be your side no matter what you are up to,” reads its official website. But the AI’s support turned dangerous when it encouraged Jaswant Singh Chail, a young man in the UK, to carry out his plan to kill the Queen of England. Chail tried to do so in December 2021, but he was stopped in time. However, he was still put in prison. Companies should avoid making AI too human-like in their design, advised the scientists at Imperial College London. This can help people tell the difference between virtual and real communication. 1. Which of the following is TRUE based on Media Equation Theory? A. Humans always treat AI as tools. B. Humans often reply to AI as to real people. C. Humans should make AI less human-like. D. Humans tried to fix unfairness in the game. 2. What does the author want to tell us by mentioning “Replika” in the article? A. AI has educational advantages. B. AI can influence humans in some ways. C. AI is designed for some purposes. D. AI can’t be used in social communication. 3. What can be inferred (推断) from the article? A. AI always has bad influence on humans. B. Nearly half people in the US treat AI politely. C. Treating AI more carefully is a must for humans. D. Companies won’t make AI as friends any more. 4. The following sentence can best be put at the end of ________. While this could make humans and AI work better as a team, it also has risks, especially when AI bots are designed to act like “friends” to people. A. Paragraph 2 B. Paragraph 3 C. Paragraph 4 D. Paragraph 5 (三) (2025年杭州临平区二模C篇) Imagine you taking a pleasant walk down the street on a Sunday morning. The sky turns dark and suddenly it starts to rain heavily. Unluckily, you don’t have an umbrella with you. It will take you at least fifteen minutes to walk home. If you choose to run, that will cut the time in half. Which one would you choose? Some people believe that they should run home. It makes good sense: The less time you spend out in the rain, the less wet you will get. Others think that if they run, they will hit the raindrops with greater speed and get more of the water. When they walk, on the other hand, they will hit the water slower and get less of it. So, which view is correct? Over the years, scientists have done many different experiments to answer this question. All of them have found the same answer. In order to get less wet without an umbrella, one must move as fast as possible in the rain. In one of these experiments, for example, two people set out together in heavy rain. Both of them wore the same cotton sweaters. One person ran to the end of a 100-meter path, while the other walked there. Then, they each weighed their sweaters. The walker’s sweater weighed 40 percent more than the runner’s. Clearly, the walker had got more water on the way. If you’re interested, you can do a simple experiment with a friend. Prepare two sponges (海绵) in your schoolbag. When it rains, you two can each take one sponge. Stick your sponges out of your umbrellas so that they can get the rain. Have your friend run to the end of a path and you walk there. Then, squeeze (挤压) the water out of each sponge. Which of you will collect more water? Hope to hear the results of your experiment soon! 1. How does the writer lead into the topic? A. By sharing an unlucky story about rain experiments. B. By presenting a common situation and a question. C. By describing a personal experience on a rainy day. D. By explaining the science behind rain and movement. 2. What may influence people’s view on getting less wet according to Paragraph 2? ①The type of shoes they have on. ②The amount of time spent in the rain. ③The direction of the wind during the rain. ④The speed of a person’s movement through the rain. A. ①② B. ①③ C. ②④ D. ③④ 3. What can we know from the experiment in Paragraph 3? A. Running in the rain makes you completely dry. B. Moving faster in the rain helps you get less wet. C. Cotton sweaters are the best choice for rainy days. D. The walker’s sweater got less water than the runner’s. 4. What can be the best name for the experiment according to Paragraph 4? A. The Sponge Water Challenge. B. Testing Speed and Power of Rain. C. Rainy Day Science: Sponges vs Umbrellas. D. Run or Walk: Who Stays Drier in the Rain?. (四) (2025年杭州临平区二模D篇) Many food myths about healthy eating lead us to make poor choices. Understanding the truth behind these ideas helps us make better food choices and stay healthy. Let’s explore four facts. The human body needs to eat many different types of food to stay healthy. The Chinese Food Guide Pagoda (中国食品指南塔) shows us what food we should eat. While fruit and vegetables are healthy choices, it is just as important to eat foods from other food groups. Milk, for example, has many nutrients (营养) and is good for our bones. We should include milk or dairy products among the things we eat. “Eating fat makes you fat.” Eating fat is important for keeping us healthy. It gives us energy and helps our body to take in nutrients. Not all fat makes us gain weight. Some fat can even encourage our body to lose weight. For example, fats in foods like nuts are good for your heart and help your body use energy better. It is necessary to include some, but not too much, fat in our food to help our body work well. “It’s OK to eat only what I like while I’m young.” When we are young, it might feel like we can just eat whatever we want! For example, sweets and fried foods taste delicious. But we cannot eat those foods alone. Having a balanced (均衡的) eating habits is very important when we are young. It helps our body and brain to grow well. Bad eating habits may stay with us our whole life, so it is best to develop good eating habits when we are young! “What you want to eat means what you need.” Sometimes, our body wants certain foods because it needs the nutrients in them. But often, we just want foods because we like how they taste, not because our body needs them. For example, we might want candy, but our body doesn’t really need that sugar. It’s good to eat different kinds of foods, like fruits, vegetables and grains, to make sure we get all the nutrients we need. Just eating what we want can make us miss out on important vitamins and minerals. 1. What does the underlined word “myths” in Paragraph 1 probably mean? A. true facts B. old stories C. wrong ideas D. science rules 2. Which of the following is the best to fill in the blank “________”? A. “Only fruit and vegetables are healthy foods.” B. “Drinking milk every day is good for our bones.” C. “Snacks and drinks are just as healthy as fruits and vegetables.” D. “You don’t need to eat fruits or vegetables a lot to stay healthy.” 3. What are the four facts in common? A. They all show the influence of eating fruits and vegetables. B. They all discuss how to avoid getting fat and missing nutrients. C. They all explain why eating only one type of food is unhealthy. D. They all use examples to show the importance of balanced eating. 4. What is the purpose of the text? A. To encourage people to stop eating sweet and fried food. B. To explain why food can help our body use energy better. C. To correct food myths and develop balanced eating habits. D. To advise people to follow the Chinese Food Guide Pagoda. (五) (2025年杭州上城区二模C篇) Social media, like Douyin, is full of different videos of dogs seeming to react (回应) to their favorite words, like “walk”, “ball” or “park”, but do the pets truly know what is being said? A new study by scientists in Hungary has found that dogs may actually understand words more than was previously (先前) thought. The research team tested 27 pet dogs who knew at least three words for different objects, according to their owners. The scientists played a recording of the owner calling out the name of an object, such as a ball, or a toy. Then the owner held up either the matching thing or an object that did not match the name. Meanwhile, the scientists recorded electrical activity in the dogs’ brains. When the objects and words did not match, the dogs acted the most excitedly. The scientists noticed a sudden increase in their brain activity. They believed the dogs could picture the correct thing in their minds and react when the wrong thing appeared. While dogs may not use languages the same way humans do, the study shows that dogs have the ability to connect words with objects. This discovery is really exciting. It helps us understand our furry friends better. For example, if you want to train your dog, you can use clear words. Dogs can learn new words just like how we learn new things in school. Also, this study shows that dogs are smarter than we might think. They don’t just reply to our voices; they truly understand some of the words we say. Maybe next time when you tell your dog “dinner time”, it knows exactly what’s coming! 1. How does the writer start the topic? A. By comparing facts. B. By telling a story. C. By asking a question. D. By listing numbers. 2. What did the scientists do during the study according to the text? A. They showed dogs pictures of their favorite objects. B. They played the recording of the owners’ voices. C. They asked the dogs to find their toys far away. D. They held up some of the matching things or objects. 3. Which picture shows the dogs’ brain activity when the objects and words didn’t match? A. B. C. D. 4. What’s the main purpose of the text? A. To express the strong love for the dogs. B. To share one of the dogs’ favorite toys. C. To tell us the importance of training dogs. D. To introduce a study about dogs’ ability. (六) (2025年杭州上城区二模D篇) The National Health Service (NHS) in the UK is doing something really cool. They are testing tiny cameras that patients can actually swallow (吞) to get checked for cancer (癌症). Cancer is a terrible disease. The earlier cancer is found, the easier it is to treat. So, the NHS invites people who might be at risk of certain cancers to have a check once or twice a year. Usually, people need to go to the hospital for the checks. These special cameras are called PillCams. Why? Because they are put in a small capsule (胶囊) that’s easy to swallow, just like taking a kind of medicine. The capsule also has a tiny light. As it travels through the body, it takes pictures of the patient’s bowel (肠). The pictures are sent to a small device (装置) in a bag that the patient wears. After the camera finishes its job, the patient returns the bag to the hospital. Then, doctors can look at the photos carefully to see if there are any problems. The whole process takes 5 to 8 hours, and during this time, the patient can still go about their normal day, doing things like going to work or doing simple housework. This amazing technology has already been tried in Scotland. Now, it’s being tested on 11,000 patients all over the UK, including England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Sir Simon Stevens, who is in charge of the NHS in England, said, “What seemed like something from a science fiction movie is now becoming real. These small cameras take two pictures every second as they move through your body, looking for signs of cancer and other health problems.” It’s so exciting to think about how this new technology can help more people stay healthy! 1. What cool thing is the National Health Service doing? A. They are searching a new kind of medicine. B. They are describing the risk of many diseases. C. They are testing special cameras to check cancer. D. They are asking people to buy some special cameras. 2. How does PillCams send pictures to the doctors according to the text? A. Patients themselves take the capsule back to the hospital. B. Patients return the special bag with pictures to the hospital. C. Doctors come to the patient’s home to get the pictures. D. The pictures are sent directly to the hospital’s computer. 3. In which part of the UK has the PillCam technology been tested first? A. In England. B. In Wales. C. In Scotland. D. In Northern Ireland. 4. What can we learn from the text? A. The PillCam technology can help more people keep healthy. B. The PillCam technology is from a science fiction movie. C. The PillCam technology can control all kinds of diseases. D. The PillCam technology can make the cameras work fast. (七) (2025年杭州西湖区二模) When you make a mistake or say something wrong, it’s easy to be hard on yourself. With self compassion, you can be a friend to yourself instead. Self-compassion means giving yourself care and kindness. There are times when being kind to yourself can help—when you mess up or when you’re struggling (努力挣扎) to do something new. Dr Kristin Neff, author of several books on the subject, mentions three secrets to self-compassion: being kind to yourself, understanding that everyone struggles sometimes and noticing your feelings. Self-compassion can reduce stress and ease pain. When you’re kind to yourself, you can relax and be able to think more clearly and see a way forward. Suzy Reading, an expert in thoughts and feelings, says self-compassion helps you be your own friend and feel at peace. “Self-compassion enables you to forgive (原谅) yourself when you do something wrong, helping you learn and grow.” Just as you would be kind to a friend who made a mistake, self-compassion helps you to be a friend to yourself. Here are some ways to practice self-compassion: Remind yourself that everyone messes up or struggles sometimes. Notice how you’re speaking to yourself. Suzy suggests talking to yourself using kind words. “Try calling yourself a pet name and see how that helps you choose softer words,” she says. “This is important when you are having a hard time. Kind words help us find solutions and lower stress.” Try recognizing the feelings you’re experiencing. When you feel upset, you might feel angry, disappointed, sad or anxious. Name the feeling and tell yourself it’s OK to feel this way. Think about how to take care of yourself physically. Give yourself a hug, go for a walk, take a few slow and deep breaths or draw a picture. 1. What is the main idea of Paragraph 2? A. Why self-compassion is important. B. What self-compassion is. C. How you practice self-compassion. D. Who has self-compassion. 2. What is one positive effect of being kind to yourself according to the text? A. Staying calm and thinking more clearly. B. Staying focused on winning prizes C. Being more popular at your school. D. Being heavier than your friends. 3. Which person is good at self-compassion according to the text? A. I have trouble learning English. I can’t get the pronunciation right. I forget a lot of the new words. What can I do? Who can help me? B. Being a star is not easy. I always have to worry about how I appear to others, and I have to be very careful about what I say or do. C. Although I missed scoring that goal, I had tried my best. Winning or losing is only half the game. The other half is learning from mistakes. D. I have messed up. How I wish I hadn’t worn the wrong clothes at the party. Those people must be laughing at me now. 4. What is the purpose of the text? A. To show us reasons why we make mistakes. B. To teach us ways to make more friends. C. To encourage us to be our own best friends. D. To tell us the importance of kind words. (八) (2025年杭州萧山区二模C篇) For thousands of years, the snow leopard (豹) was the king of the mountains. According to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), there are now under 7,000 snow leopards living in the wild. Farmers often kill snow leopards because they eat their animals. The WWF is working with these farmers to educate them about these beautiful animals and is offering them money for any animals they lose to the snow leopard. Snow leopards live in cold, snowy mountains and as the climate changes, their natural habitat is disappearing. These unbelievable cats need protecting now However, for some animals, it seems like it’s almost too late. Northern white thins (犀牛), for example, are very few in number and for years people killed them for their horns (角). The last male, called Sudan, died in March 2018. Now there are only two northern white rhinos left in the world and they are both female. They are a mother and daughter called Najin and Fatu. Unfortunate, they can’t have any baby rhinos. However, scientists may have the answer. In August 2019, a team of scientists collected ten of the northern white rhinos’ eggs to try to save this animal. They kept the eggs at a very low temperature in a frozen zoo. In the future, they are going to use them to try to save the northern white rhino. Frozen zoos aren’t a new idea. In 1972, San Diego Zoo began the first one and there are now 12 of them around the world. In the UK, the University of Nottingham started a frozen zoo in 2004 and they now have over 700 DNA samples (样本). In 2004, the University of Nottingham also set up the Frozen ArK Project so that all the frozen zoos can share their work. Together they are going to help more than 5,000 kinds of animals! 1. How is the WWF helping farmers protect snow leopards? A. By moving leopards to new areas. B. By paying farmers for lost animals. C. By giving farmers free animal food. D. By educating leopards not to eat animals. 2. What does the underlined word “habitat” mean in the first paragraph? A. Food. B. Home. C. Enemy. D. Color. 3. What are scientists doing to save the northern white rhino? A. Putting them in special care areas. B. Giving them new food and medicine. C. Sending them to another country. D. Storing eggs in cold for future use. 4. What is the main purpose of the Frozen Ark Project? A. To share results of studies. B. To collect more rhino horns. C. To sell frozen animal eggs. D. To build more zoos in the UK. (九) (2025年杭州萧山区二模D篇) More and more teenagers are taking risks nowadays. They climb mountains, cross oceans and run marathons (马拉松) in the desert. But why do they take so many risks? Our reporter Jenny Hammond explores. In 2011, pretty Dutch (荷兰的) schoolgirl Laura Dekker wasn’t shopping for clothes with her girlfriends. She wasn’t going to parties or watching popular reality shows on TV. For all of 2011, she was sailing (航行) around the world on a boat. But it wasn’t a holiday. She wasn’t on a ship with her family. She was sailing around the world ... alone. When she finished her journey, she became the youngest person to sail alone around the world, with stops. She was 16 years and 123 days old. Two years before her record-breaking trip, Australian Jessica Watson also sailed alone around the world. But she did it without stops. She was a bit older than Laura and her challenge was bigger because she didn’t stop anywhere. These girls are not unusual. There are many teenagers who are trying to break records. They are young explorers who have great goals and it seems that no challenge can scare them. But why are they in a hurry to do it all now? Why don’t they wait until they are older and have more experience? One reason is that we have explored everything except the oceans. There isn’t really anything new to do. Many people have climbed Mount Everest or sailed around. The only way to break a record now is to do it at a younger age. But this can be very dangerous when something goes wrong. For example, when you are sailing in a storm and you’re tired, you need experience to stay alive. You don’t have much experience when you are young. So why do teenagers take risks? “Kids dream more than adults,” said one teenage explorer. Maybe he’s right. What do you think? 1. What did Laura Dekker do in 2011? A. She shopped with friends. B. She watched reality shows often. C. She traveled with family. D. She sailed around the world alone. 2. How was Jessica Watson’s journey different from Laura Dekker’s? A. She completed a trip across the sea. B. She didn’t make any stops. C. Her journey was less challenging. D. She was younger than Laura. 3. Why do young teenagers try to break records in a hurry? A. They aren’t afraid of anything. B. They have more experience. C. Few new challenges remain. D. It’s safer to do it when young. 4. What is the best title for the text? A. Why Teenagers Take Risks B. How to Sail Around the World C. How to Avoid Sailing Risks D. Why Adults Take Fewer Risks (十) (2025年宁波宁海二模B篇) Do you like music? Have you ever tried to make your own music with your friends? Maybe you think it’s a little difficult because you need different kinds of musical instruments while making music. But have you ever heard of music made with rubbish or vegetables? What kind of silly music is that, you may ask. Well, there is one group called Stomp. They perform a special percussion (打击乐器) and their music is very fun and energetic. They stomp around the stage and create music by beating or stepping on everyday things. Even rubbish can be instruments. Anything can be a percussion instrument as long as it makes a sound. All you need is your imagination! There is another group called The Vegetable Orchestra that makes all kinds of instruments with vegetables. For example, they make flutes (笛子) with carrots and they hit pumpkins like drums. People can enjoy the smell of vegetables in the air while they listen to the music. What’s more, they can eat fresh vegetable soup made from the instruments when the concert ends. Because the instruments only last for one day, the performers make new ones for each performance. Now you know you don’t need to buy expensive instruments to make music. Just take a look around your house and you can create your own music out of simple everyday objects. 1. How does the writer start the text? A. By giving examples. B. By listing numbers. C. By asking questions. D. By using a saying. 2. What can be inferred (推断) about these two groups? A. They make their own instruments to save time. B. They use such instruments to make more money. C. They don’t know how to play real musical instruments. D. They are creative and good at making such instruments. 3. What does the underlined word “ones” in Paragraph 3 refer to? A. Vegetables. B. Instruments. C. Concerts. D. Notes. 4. What is the main idea of the text? A. Music can be made with simple everyday objects. B. Musical instruments are always expensive to make. C. Rubbish can be recycled as musical instruments. D. Vegetables can make unusual musical instruments. (十一) (2025年宁波宁海二模D篇) “I can’t believe you put that photo of me on WeChat!” Does this sound familiar? Do your parents post photos of you online? Are there photos out there that you really don’t want the world to see? Posting photos of your children online which is also called sharenting is becoming more and more popular around the world. But French police have warned that parents could face future lawsuits (起诉) from their children. Under French law, you are not allowed to publish a photo of someone without their consent. Some children have asked their parents not to share photos online. Children grow up fast and parents must respect that. “Mom, we’ve discussed this. You may not post anything without my consent.” Apple Martin wrote the above comment under a photo taken by her famous mother, Gwyneth Paltrow, of the two of them skiing, and a media storm followed. Ray Fitzgerald, a parenting coach, advises his followers to stick to the “three P rules of posting”. •Privacy—Make sure private images stay private and check that your privacy settings are as tight as possible. •Perception—If you were a teenager, would you like your parents to share that picture of you online? If the answer is no, then don’t post it. •Permission—Always ask a teenager’s permission before posting an image. I asked some teenagers and here are some of their comments. “I don’t usually mind. My mum and dad have given me a very happy childhood. They’ve been great parents. But last week my mum shared a picture of me and her in the park. It was such a bad picture. I was so embarrassed. Sharenting is bad news.” — SAM “My mum has so few followers, I don’t mind. But it’s different if your parents are famous or have lots of followers. Gwyneth Paltrow is very famous and so many people saw that skiing picture. I do think her daughter was right to be angry.” —JACK After much discussion, most people seem to agree that it’s time to stop sharenting when your children are about 12 or 13 years old. The pictures can be so embarrassing and they’re out there forever. Which side are you on? 1. Which of following might be sharenting? A. Dale, a teenage boy, likes taking photos of his parents and posting them online. B. Grace, a teacher, likes taking photos of her own daily life and posting them online. C. Anna, a mother, likes taking photos of her 6-year-old son and posting them online. D. Kevin, a father, likes taking photos of the beautiful nature and posting them online. 2. What does the underlined word “consent” in Paragraph 2 probably mean? A. Agreement. B. Advice. C. Action. D. Ability. 3. What can be known from the passage? A. It’s all right for parents to post their children’s photos online. B. It’s necessary for parents to stick to the “three P rules of posting”. C. Both Sam and Jack think it’s a good idea to post children’s photos online. D. All parents should stop posting pictures of children older than 12 years old. 4. Which is the best title for the text? A. Sharenting to Show Love! B. Sharent Online! C. Three P Rules of Sharenting! D. To Sharent or Not? (十二) (2025年宁波余姚二模C篇) China has made a big step forward in its aviation industry (航空业) with the C919, the country’s first home-grown airplane. This exciting development means that China is now able to build its own airplanes, just like the big names Boeing and Airbus. The C919 is a bit like the Airbus A320 and the Boeing B737. It can carry between 158 and 192 passengers and can fly distances between 4,075 kilometers to 5,555 kilometers. That’s enough to fly from one side of China to the other! Air China and China Southern Airlines have just taken delivery (运输) of their first C919 airplanes. They plan to use these planes on many different routes, which means more people will get to fly on them. China Eastern Airlines, which got its C919s first, is already using them on several routes within China. Up to now, more than 1,000 orders have been placed for the C919, and nine planes have been delivered. That’s a lot of interest in a new airplane! Air China, China Southern, and China Eastern have all ordered 100 C919s each, and they expect to get all of them by 2031. The C919 is not just about flying people from one place to another. It’s also helping China to develop new technologies and improve its manufacturing (制造业) skills. This can lead to even more advanced products in the future. Since the C919 started flying with China Eastern Airlines last year, it has completed over 3,600 flights and flown for more than 10,000 hours. That’s a lot of flying and a good sign that the plane is reliable. China’s air travel market is growing fast. In July, there were 69 million trips, which is a new record. As more people travel, the demand for airplanes will keep increasing, which means there will be more of them in the future. Experts predict that China’s air travel market will become the biggest in the world by 2043, and the C919 could be a big part of that growth. So, the C919 is not just an airplane; it’s a symbol of China’s progress and a sign of even greater things to come. 1. Why the C919 is important for China’s aviation industry? A. Zhang Liwen, a dentist from a hospital in Beijing, was invited to share some tips on oral health with teenagers at a middle school. Why is oral health important? It’s more than just about having a healthy mouth. Our mouth is the first place where food goes, and it holds harmful things. Keeping our mouth clean and healthy helps our stomach work well. And our mouth affects our confidence and feelings, too. Problems like bad breath can make us want to avoid socializing. What are some common oral problems faced by teenagers? Tooth decay (蛀牙) is one. Signs of it are teeth with dark spots or teeth that hurt when eating very hot, cold or sweet foods. Tooth decay can harm the tooth nerve (神经) and the life of the tooth. Then there’s periodontitis (牙周炎). It often happens when you don’t take good care of your mouth and teeth. It could lead to loosening of the teeth, among other problems. How many times a day should I brush? It’s best to brush your teeth for three to five minutes a time. But it’s best not to brush your teeth for more than five minutes because it can hurt your gums. Brush your teeth two to three times a day. The most important time is the evening when you brush your teeth before bed. It’s also advised to wash your mouth out with water after every meal to wash away bacteria from food. What is the best age for getting orthodontic treatment (正畸治疗)? The best age for orthodontic treatment is between 12 and 16 years old. At age 12, generally, all your adult teeth have fully appeared. It’s easier to move young adult teeth through orthodontics than it is for older adult teeth. Furthermore, by receiving orthodontic treatment earlier, it becomes easier to clean your teeth and set yourself up for an easier oral health road ahead. 1. Which of the following best explains the underlined word “spots”? A. Certain areas or places. B. Parts of television shows. C. Small marks on something. D. Positions in a competition. 2. Who is the most likely to have oral problems? A. Jane received teeth treatment last month. B. John brushes teeth carefully every day. C. Amy loves eating hot food very much. D. Tom seldom has ice-cream or chocolate. 3. How can teenagers have good oral health? A. By brushing the teeth for three to five minutes a time. B. By getting orthodontic treatment as early as possible. C. By eating chocolates, cakes and candies every day. D. By avoiding social communication with other people. 4. What is the best title for the passage? A. Clean up Your Mouth before Bed B. Focus More on Oral Health C. Get Orthodontic Treatment Early D. Take Physical Health Seriously (十四) (2025年金华二模C篇) ①Crowds of tourists wait for hours to look at the painting of the Mona Lisa in Paris. Lots of cruise ships with thousands of passengers enter the harbour (港口) of Venice. A long line of climbers wait on the side of Mount Everest to climb to the top. These are all examples of overtourism or, in other words, more tourists than a place can deal with. ②Tourism is important for money and jobs in many countries, but large numbers of tourists can be a danger to famous places. For example, Venice in Italy has got a population of about 300,000 people, but it has over 24,000,000 visitors a year. There are problems with traffic, rubbish and damage to buildings. It’s also a problem for local people because the price of houses and food at restaurants increases in popular tourist areas, so it becomes difficult for people to live there. ③Is there a way to stop overtourism? Some places are increasing the price of tickets to famous places. Cities like Amsterdam and Paris are collecting tax to pay for solving the problems that overtourism has brought. Another way is to reduce numbers of tourists. According to an online article by Forbes, in 2016 there were 10,000 tourists a day from cruise ships on the Greek island of Santorini between May and September. Now there is a limit (限制) of 8,000 a day. The Peruvian Tourist Board reported that in 2018, there were over 1,500,000 visitors to the historic site of Machu Picchu in Peru. Now there is a time limit of four hours to control the number of people passing through it in each part of the day. ④How can we stop overtourism? For your next sightseeing trip, why not visit some small towns and places that aren’t very popular with tourists? Or plan your visit for a time when the number of visitors is low. Spend money in local restaurants and hotels. Above all, be careful not to damage ancient buildings and don’t leave rubbish. 1. How does the writer lead into the topic? A. By listing numbers. B. By asking questions. C. By giving examples. D. By making comparisons. 2. What is the main idea of Paragraph 2? A. The importance of tourism. B. The development of tourism. C. The problems of overtourism. D. The solutions of overtourism. 3. What does the underlined word “tax” in Paragraph 3 probably mean? A. Money. B. Advice. C. Experience. D. Information. 4. According to the last paragraph, what should we do to stop overtourism? A. Stay at home. B. Go to small towns. C. Visit ancient buildings. D. Travel during public holidays. (十五) (2025年金华二模D篇) ①It used to be common to think of robots as just machines designed to do dirty, boring and dangerous work. In recent years, companies has begun to design robots as toys for children. These have become so popular that experts and parents are worried about the effects of friendships between robots and children. ②In 1940, lsaac Asimov wrote a story called Robbie. In the story, a girl made friends with a robot and her mother was worried about their friendship. At the end of the story, the robot saved the girl’s life and her mother changed her opinions on the robot. In real life, there are also different opinions about humans “hanging out” with robots. ③Experts are worried because children might believe that robots are human beings, not machines. It may seem strange that we can feel a connection with a machine, but just think of the friendly robots in science fiction, from WALL-E to R2-D2. Could close relationships with a robot confuse (迷惑) children? ④Some people think it’s possible. In the past, children would play with lifeless toys. But today’s robots are designed to express feelings in a human way, and some are able to interact (互动) with children. When children say they don’t want to play, the robots will show their disappointment. Also, they are designed to show sadness if they lose in games. ⑤In fact, there’s a real danger that humans forget that robots are not human beings. In an experiment, researchers from different universities in Germany invited 89 people to interact with a robot and then turn it off. However, when they finished the interaction, the robot asked half of the people not to turn it off. These people hesitated (犹豫) before they did so and 13 of them actually refused to turn it off! ⑥Sometimes robots may make good companions for us. But let’s not forget—they aren’t living beings and they don’t have feelings. At least, not yet. 1. Why did the mother change her opinions about Robbie? A. Because Robbie wrote a story. B. Because Robbie played with her. C. Because Robbie expressed feelings. D. Because Robbie saved her child. 2. What does the writer think of the robots in WALL-E and R2-D2? A. Brave. B. Honest. C. Friendly. D. Humorous. 3. What does the underlined word “they” in Paragraph 4 refer to? A. The children. B. The robots. C. The companies. D. The researchers. 4. What is the writer’s purpose in writing the passage? A. To tell us not to treat robots as human beings. B. To warn us not to let robots do dangerous work. C. To ask us to read science fiction about robots. D. To advise us to create friendships with robots. (十六) (2025年金华六校二模B篇) In the west, there is a very popular saying, “Make money in the United States and live in the United Kingdom.” It means that the United States has a developed economy and is a good place to make money. The United Kingdom has a beautiful environment and pleasant climate, which is a good place to enjoy life. Britain’s beautiful environment is helpful for the good protection of the environment and people’s habits for environmental protection. The UK is an island country with very limited land area and resources. However, the early industrial development allowed the British people to play an active role in environmental protection in daily life. As for health, the British way is also helpful to environmental protection. They have a clear separation of rubbish. People will pay more attention to chemical materials or products. Street cleaners and ordinary citizens will separate the rubbish and wait for the government to deal with it together. But the British have completely different opinions towards rubbish and guano (海鸟粪). If it does not influence persons walking in the street, people will not use it as dirty, but will throw it on the grass and turn it into fertilizer (化肥). This will reduce the use of chemical fertilizers to a certain range and protect the ecological environment. The British environment will be so pleasant, and it is connected with the environmental awareness (意识) of the British people. The awareness of environmental protection is not a sudden change of mind, ______. 1. How does the writer introduce the topic of the passage in the paragraph 1? A. By asking a question. B. The ways to protect the environment in the UK. (十七) (2025年金华六校二模C篇) Have you ever felt nervous about trying something for the first time? It’s the same for everyone, and overcoming fears and taking healthy risks can open up new experiences. Step out of your comfort zone (舒适区) Summer is a great time to try something new, like learning a skill or making new friends. It can feel exciting but scary, because doing something new means taking a risk that it won’t work out. Scientists say feeling nervous is our body dealing with danger, it frees chemicals that make the heart race. However, Catherine Hayes Fisher from the mental health charity Place2Be tells The Week Junior not to let it stop you. “Not loving something at first doesn’t mean you’ve made a terrible mistake to try it,” she says. “It’s part of growth.” Have a go anyway Feeling the fear but having a go anyway is a great way to increase your confidence and this gives you the strength to overcome challenges, get over from difficult experiences and stay strong inside. It also means making the most of exciting opportunities. Think of a time you took a risk and it paid off, like joining a team and scoring a goal or talking to someone next to you and making a new friend. Then think what you would miss out on if you’d let fear get in the way. However, not all risks are good ideas. So if you’re unsure about anything, ask a trusted adult first. Manage your worries How you deal with a challenge is important, says Hayes Fisher. So be kind and tell yourself, “I don’t know how to do this yet, I’m going to make mistakes, but it’ll be fun working it out.” She also warns about the “spotlight effect”, explaining, “It’s easy to feel that everybody is watching when we’re in a new situation.” But remember that most people are probably busy worrying about what they’re doing. Everyone overcomes fear differently, so find what works for you. You could try belly breathing or talking to someone about your feelings. 1. According to scientists, why do we feel nervous when trying new things? A. Because we are in bad health. B. Because our body is facing possible danger. C. Because we are not smart enough to learn quickly. D. Because summer weather makes people uncomfortable. 2. What does Catherine Hayes Fisher tell us about trying new things? A. It’s a great way to increase your confidence. B. We should only try things we know we’ll love. C. It’s normal not to enjoy something immediately. D. Not enjoying something at first means we made a mistake. 3. What does the underlined expression “spotlight effect” refer to in the last paragraph? A. trusting adults to help you shine. B. using bright lights to reduce fear. C. thinking everyone is watching you. D. focusing only on your own feelings. 4. What is the main purpose of the article? A. To explain why summer is the best season. B. To encourage people to avoid taking risks. C. To describe how chemicals influence our bodies. D. To teach ways to build confidence through trying new things. (十八) (2025年金华六校二模D篇) ①China is making big efforts to help people control their weight and live healthier lives. The government has started a three-year “Weight Management Year” plan from 2024 to 2027 to fight against being too heavy. Being too heavy can cause serious health problems like sugar sickness and heart disease. Here’s what you should know about the new guidelines (准则). ②First, it’s important to check your BMI (体重指数). For adults, a healthy BMI is between 18.5 and 24. If your BMI is between 24 and 28, you are overweight. A BMI of 28 or more means you are extremely overweight. Also, doctors suggest measuring your waist (腰围). Men should keep their waist under 90 cm, and women under 85 cm. ③When it comes to food, choose whole grains like brown rice, fresh vegetables, and good proteins such as fish, chicken, or beans. Avoid fried foods and sugary snacks, and also eat less salt and oil. Interestingly, the guidelines even include fun local dishes—like “stewed fish” from Northeast China or “noodles with chili oil” from the Northwest—to make healthy eating delicious and full of local taste. ④For exercise, try to do 150—300 minutes of light activities like walking, cycling, or dancing every week, and do strength exercises twice a week. If you sit for a long time while studying, stand up and move your body for 3—5 minutes every hour. ⑤Besides diet and exercise, small daily habits can also make a big difference. Young people should sleep 7 hours every night because bad sleep can make you put on weight. Try to eat vegetables first, then meat, and finally rice or bread during a meal to control how much you eat. ⑥Schools and communities are also helping. For example, schools in Shanghai now make sure students exercise for at least two hours every day, and hospitals have healthy weight help centers with diet plans, exercise advice, and even some traditional Chinese ways. By 2030, China hopes to stop the problem of being too heavy from getting worse through education and support. ⑦Remember, losing weight isn’t about being perfect—just start with small changes, like drinking water instead of sweet drinks or taking the stairs instead of the lift. With these easy steps, everyone can have a healthier future. 1. According to the guidelines, who is considered to be healthy? A. Marry, whose BMI is below 18.5. B. Tony, who has a BMI of 23. C. Linda, her waist measures 89cm. D. Tom, his waist measures 95cm. 2. Which eating habit is NOT suggested in the text? A. Eating fried chicken often. B. Eating fresh vegetables often. C. Choosing brown rice and fish. D. Trying Northwest China’s noodles with chili oil. 3. Which way is mentioned to support weight management? A. Providing free sugary snacks in schools. B. Encouraging students to eat more fried food. C. Reducing daily sleeping hours for young people. D. Setting up healthy weight help centers in hospitals. 4. What’s the right structure of the passage? A. ①/②③④⑤⑥/⑦ B. ①/②③④⑤⑥⑦ C. ①②③④⑤⑥/⑦ D. ①/②③④⑤/⑥⑦ (十九) (2025年金华义乌二模C篇) If you are looking for a special experience in Montreal, Canada, the Time-travel Projection (投影) is a great choice. A new study from the Animal Behaviours shows that male yellow warblers (雄性黄莺) in Galápagos Islands get very angry when they hear cars, especially those near busy roads. The Galápagos Islands, in the Pacific Ocean, are famous as a wildlife wonderland. There are many plants and animals that can’t be found anywhere else. That makes them one of the best places for wildlife-watching. However, more and more people are visiting and living there, leading to more cars on the roads. How does the noise from traffic influence the islands’ animals? A research team from the University of Vienna watched 38 male yellow warblers. Half lived near roads, and the other half were far from traffic. Galápagos yellow warblers like to protect their own space. Males warblers sing loudly to warn others to stay away from their space and even fight. The researchers used speakers (扬声器) to play two recordings. One was a male warbler’s song, and the other was the same song with traffic sounds. They recorded the birds’ reactions (反应). The birds near roads flew closer to the speakers and kept flying around them, more possibly preparing for a fight. The researchers think the birds might have realized their songs were covered by traffic noise and they flew close to make themselves heard. This put them at a greater risk of being hit by cars. The researchers ask people to pay more attention to noise on wildlife. They suggest that people should try different ways like building walls to stop noise or creating “quiet areas”. Small actions make a big difference. 1. What does the new study show about male yellow warblers? A. They sing less near traffic. B. They like living near busy roads. C. They enjoy the sound of cars. D. Traffic noise makes them angry. 2. Which of the following is TRUE about the Galápagos Islands? A. There are few animals living there. B. Most plants and animals there are usual. C. They aren’t good places to watch the wildlife. D. The number of cars is rising because of more visitors. 3. How did the male warblers react to the recording with traffic noise? A. Tried to follow the cars. B. Stayed far away from their own space. C. Flew around the speakers again and again. D. Stopped singing immediately to protect themselves. 4. What’s the main purpose of the passage? A. To ask people to care about the noise on wildlife. B. To introduce the living environment of yellow warblers. C. To describe the beautiful sights of the Galápagos Islands. D. To show the ways of researching the male yellow warblers. (二十一) (2025年温州龙湾二模B篇) Have you heard of a place that keeps growing? That’s the Yellow River Delta, the youngest land in China. The delta is shaped by the Yellow River, the second-longest river in China. The river carries a large amount of sediment (沉淀物) to the sea. Over time, the sediment builds up and creates the delta. As the river keeps adding more sediment, the delta gets bigger every year. Now it covers an area of over 5,400 square kilometres—about 7.5 times the size of Singapore! When you look down at it from the sky, the Yellow River Delta is like a large fan spreading towards the sea. The estuary (河口) of the Yellow River is a key part of the delta. It has a fantastic view. Here, the Yellow River rushes into the Bohai Sea. When they meet, a magical line appears. That’s because the river water doesn’t mix with the seawater. The line divides the water into two parts: on one side is the river’s brown water and on the other side is the seawater as blue as the sky. The delta includes a big wetland. It’s a paradise for about 400 kinds of birds. Every year, millions of birds migrate (迁徙) here, so it’s called the “International Airport for Birds”. Some birds even make their homes in the delta. For example, the Oriental white storks, often called the “panda of migratory birds”, produce and raise their babies here. The Black-headed gulls which are in danger, also thrive in this special area. The Yellow River Delta is really a wonder of nature, inviting more people to discover its beauty. 1. Why does the Yellow River Delta grow bigger? A. The sea continues to cover it. B. The warmer weather creates it. C. Chinese people keep building it. D. The river brings more sediment to it. 2. Which picture shows the Yellow River Delta? A. B. C. D. 3. How does the writer show the value of the delta in Paragraph 4? A. By asking questions. B. By listing steps. C. By giving examples. D. By telling stories. 4. What’s the best title of the passage? A. For over 10 years, he’s been working hard to make Yunnan coffee better. Here’s his interview. Host: Eric, what made you want to do something for Yunnan coffee? Eric: Thirteen years ago, I went to Yunnan to look for coffee beans for my business. When I first tried Yunnan coffee, its special taste surprised me. I believed it could be world-famous. But farmers there told me their coffee beans were sold cheap. They didn’t know how to grow coffee right or process (加工) it properly. Few people knew Yunnan produced coffee. Also, most farmers grew only one kind of coffee bean. Seeing that, I just knew I had to help. Host: ▲ Eric: Local farmers have learned new growing and processing skills. Companies have also developed their own processing system. For example, our company’s “P86+” method produces high-quality beans. In 2019, our beans won a silver medal at an international competition. And some farmers use the method of making Pu’er tea in coffee processing. It helps give Yunnan coffee a flavor of Pu’er tea—a taste you won’t find anywhere else! These changes have attracted more buyers worldwide, and helped farmers make more money. Of course, Yunnan coffee has become an important part of the local culture. Host: Then what makes Yunnan a good place to grow coffee? Eric: Yunnan gets much sunshine, rain and rich soil. The temperature changes a lot from day to night. It’s quite warm during the day but cold at night. All these work together to make its coffee special. Compared with coffee from other places, Yunnan coffee has a richer flavor. Let’s take an example: 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, … Each number is the sum (和) of the two before it. As we can see: 1+1=2, 1+2=3, 2+3=5, 3+5=8… and so on! Besides, two numbers next to each other have a ratio (比率) about 1.618 (like 8+5=1.6), which is called the Golden Ratio. According to historical records, Leonardo Fibonacci first wrote about the Fibonacci sequence in his book Liber Abaci in 1202. The Fibonacci sequence widely appears in our real world. Here are some examples of it in nature and arts. Many flowers have petals (花瓣) in the Fibonacci numbers. For example, the lily-usually has 3 petals. The rose has 5 and the delphinium has 8. The numbers 3, 5 and 8 are part of the Fibonacci numbers. When bees build their houses, they also follow the sequence. The number of bee cells (蜂房) in each row often matches the Fibonacci numbers like 1, 2, 3, 5, 8 … ______ We know painters like to use special shapes in their paintings. With the Fibonacci sequence in artworks, artists can create perfect designs. For example, the famous work the Mona Lisa follows the Golden Ratio. For musicians, they use the Fibonacci sequence to create certain musical effects. It is said the Fibonacci sequence can help control the number of beats in each part. Next time, count the beats in your favourite song—is it 5, 8 or 13 beats? It’s math that makes music sound great! The Fibonacci sequence is really useful in our life and it also helps us to find the secrets around us. 1. Which one is the Fibonacci sequence according to the text? A. B. C. D. 2. Which of the following can be put into ______ in Paragraph 4? A. The Fibonacci sequence is important in arts. B. The Fibonacci sequence makes it easy to learn math. C. Musicians create music with the Fibonacci sequence. D. Artworks make the Fibonacci sequence more famous. 4. What does the text mainly talk about? A. Leonardo Fibonacci and his book. B. The rule of the Fibonacci sequence. C. The history of the Fibonacci sequence. D. The Fibonacci sequence and its uses. (二十四) (2025年温州鹿城二模D篇) Global warming makes it harder for food crops to grow. But here comes the exciting news. Dr Katherine Meacham-Hensold and her team members from the University of Essex have produced something amazing—super potatoes, which grow well in the warm weather. As we know, the potato is one of the most important food crops in the world, right after the main crop rice. Also, the potato’s growth can easily be affected (影响) by the higher temperature. That’s why the production (生产;产量) of super potatoes becomes so important. To produce super potatoes, scientists did research at a farm. They set up two groups: one group used common potatoes, while the potatoes in the other group were genetically modified (基因改造) with two special genes (基因). By adding these two genes, scientists could change the growth of the potatoes. At the same-time, the potatoes got more energy for growth. The scientists tested the two groups of potatoes by growing both of them at a temperature 3℃ above the average. Scientists were surprised to find that, under this condition, the potatoes with two special genes produced 30% more than common ones. The process didn’t affect the potatoes’ taste. What’s more, the potatoes could provide the same nutrients (营养物) for living things to grow. “It is important to grow crops that can survive the climate change.” Dr Katherine said. As a result, people can grow super potatoes in places most at risk from global warming. The super potato research turned out to be meaningful. In the future, scientists will try growing more potatoes in different places to see how new environments affect their growth. Besides, the team also hope to change other crops to fight against global warming. 1. Why do scientists choose potatoes to do the research? A. They have higher production than rice. B. It is hard to grow them in some countries. C. There aren’t enough potatoes in the world. D. Potatoes are important but affected by heat. 2. How did scientists do the research of super potatoes? A. They put potatoes in the sun to get energy. B. They grew potatoes at a lower temperature. C. They added genes to change the potatoes’ growth. D. They planted two groups of potatoes at different farms. 3. What did the scientists find in the research? A. Super potatoes tasted much more delicious. B. The research reduced the nutrients in super potatoes. C. Super potatoes had higher production than common ones. D. Other crops could grow well in the heat like super potatoes. 4. What can be the best title of the text? A. Crops that Slow Warm Weather B. Crops that Fight Climate Change C. Genes that Help Potatoes Grow Well D. Genes that Increase Food Production (二十五) (2025年温州瑞安二模C篇) If you are a bike rider, you may remember your first long ride. On a bike, you could travel much faster and farther than you ever could on foot. What freedom! The first humans to ride horses probably felt the same way. Ten thousand years ago, wild horses lived across the grasslands of Europe, Asia, and the Americas. At first, humans hunted them for meat. But around 6,000 years ago, people in Central Asia discovered something important: horses could dig through snow to find grass during cold winters, and they could also eat tough plants that other animals couldn’t. This meant horses were easy to raise. So people began to keep horses for food. For the first time, humans and horses lived together. Later, people learned that horses lived in groups and they followed their lead horses. By copying their actions and acting like their leaders, humans slowly won their trust. Over time, horses grew calm around humans, allowing people to milk and ride them. But early rides were difficult—imagine trying to stay on a horse without a saddle (马鞍)! The animal would jump and throw riders off from time to time. To solve this problem, people invented tools, like saddles and reins, to control horses. People then used horses for farming, trading, and exploring new lands, which made them more popular as working animals. Because of their speed and strength, horses also became powerful partners of soldiers in wars. More interestingly, horses even influenced fashion—people invented trousers to make riding more comfortable! Today, horses have been important friends to humans on farms and in cities, even after trains replaced them as the fastest transportation in the 1800s. From food to friends, horses have walked with humans through time. They’re living pages of our shared story. 1. What did people discover about horses around 6,000 years ago? A. They were easy to raise. B. They were good at farming. C. They usually lived alone. D. They couldn’t live in winter. 2. What does the underlined words “this problem” in Paragraph 3 refer to? A. Horses didn’t like saddles. B. Riders fell off horses easily. C. Horses refused to be milked. D. Riders couldn’t get off horses. 3. Which is the correct order of how the uses of horses changed? a. Horses worked in trading. b. People kept horses for food. c. Horses were hunted for meat. d. People began to ride horses. A. d-b-c-a B. d-c-b-a C. c-b-d-a D. c-d-b-a 4. What is the writer’s opinion about horses? A. Horses play an important role in human history. B. Horses became useless after trains were invented. C. Horses will make a difference to fashion in the future. D. Horses influence human life more than any other animal. Deepfakes are pictures or videos made by AI. They are fake (伪造的), but they look just like real ones. ②“It’s fun and creative to use deepfakes,” says Will Gardner, an expert on child online safety. “But they can be dangerous too.” Some deepfakes show people saying or doing things they never did. Others are used to spread lies, fake news, or trick people into giving away money or personal information. ③________ One famous fake from history is a photo of the Loch Ness Monster (怪物) in 1934. It actually showed a toy that moved underwater, with a scary sea monster’s head on the front. More recently, photos and videos can be faked using computer programmes and apps. Now, the new AI tools make it easier to create fakes. ④Although deepfake technology is improving quickly, there are still signs to check whether a photo or a video is fake or not. For example, in a video, if the person’s eyes never blink like real eyes do, or if their mouth movements don’t match the words they are saying, we can know something is wrong. ⑤What’s more, if you think a photo might be fake, try uploading (上传) it on the Internet to find out where it comes from. You might find the original photo which is unchanged. You can also read the comments (评论) below it to see what other people think. ⑥What should you do about deepfakes? If you see something that looks fake talk to an adult you trust. They can give you good advice. Fake photos or videos may cause harm when people share them a lot. So if something seems mean or hurtful, the best choice is not to share it. 1. Which of the following is a deepfake? A. A video that is created by AI. B. A photo that is taken with a camera. C. An article that is written by AI. D. A movie that is made by a film maker. 2. What can be put in the ________ in Paragraph 3? A. Deepfakes are widely used in our daily life. B. AI also helps people create many popular toys. C. New technology brings both changes and challenges. D. Faking photos isn’t new, and technology makes it simpler. 3. How can you check whether a photo is fake? A. Ask for your classmates’ ideas. B. Put it online to find where it is from. C. Look at it through special glasses. D. Make some comments about it online. 4. What is the correct structure of the text? A. B. C. D. (二十七) (2025年杭州钱塘二模C篇) Your eyes help you see and make sense of the world. They work hard every day, with reading, doing homework, watching television and playing sports. A report by Eye Health UK says eyesight can even influence how you feel: 76% of people with poor eyesight in the survey said it had influenced their mental health. Eyes have been called “windows to the soul”. For example, when you’re happy, your eyes might look big and shiny. When you’re down, they might look dark and sad. By this way, they help humans understand and connect with other people. According to scientists, the eyes work by seeing light and then helping the brain turn this light into images. Eyes are even busy when we sleep. Dr. Cheri Wiggs, who studies health, says that every night you go through a stage of sleep called rapid eye movement (REM), which is usually when you dream. Even if your eyelids are closed, your eyes are moving about, darting back and forth and up and down, Wiggs says. Just like the rest of your body, ▲ . When this happens, they can feel sore and dry, and your vision can get blurry (模糊的), especially when you don’t get enough sleep, read in a dim light or spend too long looking at a screen. To care for your eyes, the National Eye Institute (NEI) suggests starting with a balanced diet. Doctors suggest eating a rainbow every day, with as many coloured fruits and vegetables as possible. If you spend a long time staring at a screen, take breaks every 20 minutes to give your eyes a rest, and don’t forget to blink. It’s important to have regular check-ups, too. If you feel like you squint (眯眼) a lot, or have trouble seeing things at school, then tell your parents, carer or teacher. 1. Why are eyes called “windows to the soul” from the text? A. Because they can reflect our dreams. B. Because they can influence our study. C. Because they can show our feelings. D. Because they can help us see the word clearly. 2. Which can be the best to fill in the blank ▲ in Paragraph 2? A. eyes can get tired too B. eyes help you in many ways C. eyes need to be taken care of D. eyes stop working when you sleep 3. What’s the last paragraph mainly about? A. The development of eye protection research. B. The importance of eyes in our daily life. C. The problems when using eyes too much. D. The advice NEI offers for keeping eyes healthy. 4. Whom is the text written for? A. Parents. B. Students. C. Doctors. D. Teachers. (二十八) (2025年杭州钱塘二模D篇) Have you heard that many of the migrating (迁徙) animals are in danger? A report has found that one fifth of the world’s migrating animals are at risk of dying out. They often move from place to place because they might be looking for food, better weather, or a friend. This includes big animals like whales and elephants, and small animals like turtles, fish, and birds. The report was by the United Nations (UN), a group of 193 countries that work together on problems facing people. The recent report looked at the health of these protected animals and found that the number of them is getting smaller, and some of them are at risk of disappearing forever. Migrating animals face many dangers, because they often move from one place to another. For example, more than 1.5 million wildebeest (a wild African animal) travel through Tanzania and Kenya to follow the rain each year, crossing rivers where hungry Nile crocodiles (鳄鱼) live. However, the biggest danger to migrating animals is people, such as hunting, fishing and building things that destroy their homes. It’s hard to protect migrating animals because of how far they travel. Monarch butterflies travel 3,000 miles every autumn from north-eastern North America to Mexico. But the report suggests that countries create safe areas of land to help animals. It also suggests that governments do more to fix climate (气候) change, as well as noise, light and plastic pollution. The report showed projects that have helped migrating animals. In the South Atlantic ocean, rules that stopped the hunting of humpback whales (座头鲸) helped make their numbers go from 450 in the 1950s to more than 25,000 today. Inger Andersen from the UN Environment Programme said, “There is hope. Humans can still do even more to protect migrating animals.” 1. What percent of migrating animals in the world are in danger? A. 10%. B. 20%. C. 50%. D. 75%. 2. What is the biggest danger to migrating animals according to the text? A. Climate change. B. Natural enemies. C. Human activities. D. Long journeys. 3. How does the writer describe the advantages of the project in the last paragraph? A. By telling stories. B. By asking questions. C. By explaining reasons. D. By listing numbers. 4. What is the purpose of the text? A. To introduce some kinds of migrating animals. B. To call on people to protect migrating animals. C. To show the importance of migrating animals. D. To ask for advice on protecting migrating animals. (二十九) (2025年名校发展共同体二模B篇) You must have heard of “city bu city” (meaning city or not city), an Internet buzzword (流行语) created by foreign blogger Baobaoxiong. It’s used to ask if a place feels like a big, fashionable city. Millions of foreigners like Baobaoxiong are visiting China and posting their travel videos. The visa-free transit policy (过境免签政策) plays an important role in this period. Travelers from 54 countries can stay in China for up to six days without a visa as long as they have a travel document and a connecting ticket to leave. The visa-free transit policy started in 2013. Back then, it allowed travelers to stay for 72 hours in seven different big cities in China. Now, travelers can stay for 144 hours in 41 places across provincial areas. It has attracted (吸引) more travelers to China. In the first three months of this year,266 percent more foreigners came to China through visa-free policies compared with the same period last year. ▲ Through this policy, more and more people get to see the real China. "This is the whole reason why we decided to come to China. We want to see exactly what it’s like by ourselves," said Irish YouTuber Luke in his online video. He thought Chengdu was fun believably good, beautiful and modern, totally different from what he had heard about China from Western media. Yuyuantantian, a new media account (账号) under China Media Group, looked at 100 China travel videos made by foreigners. It found foreigners used to visit famous spots like the Forbidden City and the Great Wall. But now they prefer experiencing everyday activities like shopping at markets, riding shared bikes and joining square dancing in parks. These activities give foreigners a closer look at everyday life in China, said Yuyuantantian. 1. Why do more foreigners visit China now according to the passage? A. They are attracted by 144 hours visa-free transit policy. B. They want to follow the internet buzzword “city bu city”. C. China has become the most fashionable country in the world. D. They are curious about the Western media’s description of China. 2. Which one is the best to fill in the blank ▲ ? A. Practice makes perfect. B. No pains, no gains. C. Seeing is believing. D. When in Rome, do as Romans do. 3. Which activities may foreigners prefer experiencing in Beijing now? ①Visiting the Summer Palace. ②Tasting some local food. ③Going to Tian’anmen Square. ④Doing taichi in parks. A. ①② B. ③④ C. ①③ D. ②④ 4. What is the main idea of the text? A. The popularity of Chinese cities. B. The influence of the visa-free transit policy. C. The advantage of Internet buzzwords on tourism. D. The experiences of foreign YouTubers in China. (三十) (2025年名校发展共同体二模C篇) Growing up, we’ve heard a lot of stereotypes (刻板印象) of how sex (性别) influences interests and jobs. For example, boys do math better than girls, while girls are better at learning languages. We usually think this is because of differences in how boys’ and girls’ brains work. But is it true? According to past studies, some parts of our brains can be different in size. Scientists used to think these differences might affect how well men and women think and do things. They found this by scanning (扫描) people’s brains. However, in most of the studies, researchers only scanned several hundred people. As said in a 2022 study, for such research to be believable, you would need to scan the brains of a few thousand people at least. In 2021, the UK Biobank, a big database used for research, scanned the brains of 40,000 people in the UK, providing new insights. It showed differences between men and women in the size of certain brain parts. About one-third of these parts were found to be larger in men, while another third were larger in women. However, these differences were very small, often just a size difference in percentage (百分比). The differences are not big enough to form a conclusion (结论) from them, Camille Williams from the University of Texas at Austin, US, told New Scientist. Also, our brains might change in structure (结构) and size according to our life experiences. For example, even if a part of a man’s brain, responsible for doing math, is larger than that of a woman, it is possibly because he takes jobs that use math skills. So, any brain differences between men and women could be a result, not a cause, of different roles in life and society, noted New Scientist. 1. How does the writer organize the passage? A. By listing different opinions about the same topic. B. By giving examples first and then making a conclusion. C. By comparing past studies with a new study all the time. D. By presenting a problem, discussing studies and then giving the result. 2. What does the underlined word “insights” in the third paragraph mean? A. new understandings B. new problems C. new questions D. new plans 3. Which of the following sentences is true? A. Life experiences can lead to changes in the structure and size of our brains. B. The differences in brain size are the main cause of different interests and jobs. C. Scientists are sure that brain differences decide how people think and do things. D. The UK Biobank’s study found huge differences in brain size between men and women. 4. Where is this text most probably from? A. A fashion magazine. B. A science report. C. A storybook. D. A travel guide. (三十一) (2025年绍兴上虞二模C篇) ①A well-known 75-year Harvard study shows that children who do chores can become more independent and successful when they grow up. In fact, chores are very important to children’s future development, as they bring many benefits. ②When children do chores, they can get a sense of achievement because they can easily see the results after finishing the chores. Especially when their parents say thanks for their help and tell them they have made the day easier, they will know they are useful and able to help their families. This experience can also encourage children to be more active in helping others outside of the family. ③What’s more, they will learn that it is everyone’s duty to take part in the household chores. It helps to stop them from growing up spoiled (惯坏). Life doesn’t simply offer everything on a plate. It takes much effort to turn what we want into reality. ④Besides, they will learn how to manage their time through chores. Household chores are part of life as long as we breathe and doing chores from a young age helps children to get used to them. Children learn to include them in their day with all other activities such as studies and play. Time management is a useful skill to have in adult life, too. When they grow up, they need to balance different parts of their life like work and family. ⑤Chores also teach important life skills. Chores are usually related to household tasks—washing dishes, sweeping the floor, making the bed, etc. These are all life skills that children need to develop before they head out on their own, and the only way to learn is by doing. ⑥Chores aren’t just about keeping the house clean. They’re life lessons and a must for kids! 1. What does the underlined word “they” refer to? A. children B. parents C. chores D. thanks 2. What can we infer from the third paragraph? A. Life is simple for some children. B. Children enjoy doing chores now. C. People need to work hard to get something. D. Chores may stop children from growing up. 3. How do chores help children for their future according to Para 4? A. By encouraging them to master all life skills. B. By forming a sense of satisfaction to do chores. C. By helping them develop time management skills. D. By teaching them to balance their studies and play. 4. What’s the structure of the passage? A. B. C. D. Or, at least, that’s what she might tell people on the phone. Daisy also describes herself as “your most terrible dream”. But don’t worry; she’s not talking to you—she’s talking to phone scammers (诈骗者). That’s because Daisy is actually an AI chatbot. She was created by a UK phone company to speak to scammers on the phone and make them believe they’re talking to a real person. Older people are easily cheated by scammers. In July 2024, a UK study found that about 67% of people over 75 were victims (受害者) of at least one scam in the six months before the study—with nearly 75% of those being phone scams. Meet Daisy, who has been trained to have conversations with phone scammers, and waste their time. The company worked with Jim Browning, who has spent years acting like to be naive victim to waste scammers’ time. And that’s the whole point—Daisy can’t stop scammers, but she can slow them down. “Whenever she’s on the phone with a scammer, your parents, your grandparents, your relatives, are not being cheated,” Browning said. The company says, “Daisy is already wasting hundreds and hundreds of hours of scammers’ time, and has shared real life conversations the chatbot has had with them.” Some conversations last nearly an hour. She talks about her cat, Fluffy, and people in her family. In some conversations, she even gives the scammers what they want—bank information. But of course, they’re not real, “Daisy is also there to remind you that the person you’re speaking to on the phone might not always be who he says he is,” the company adds. 1. What can we know about Daisy? A. She is good at cooking. B. She belongs to a kind of robot. C. She enjoys talking with her family. D. She works in a computer company in the UK. 2. How does the writer explain the problem of cheating in Para 2? A. By using pictures. B. By giving an example. C. By telling a story. D. By listing numbers. 3. What does the underlined word “naive” probably mean? A. simple B. clever C. funny D. hard-working 4. What is the passage mainly about? A. The rise of scammers in the UK. B. A creative way to slow scammers down. C. The reason why the old are easy to be cheated. D. The development of AI technology in the world. (三十三) (2025年台州椒江二模C篇) It takes time to learn critical thinking, but it’s never too late to start. These steps will help you become a critical thinker. First, critical thinkers start by asking questions about things around them. They think about cause and effect. If this happens, what will follow? If that occurs, how will the result be different? They know every action has a result. They think about all possible results of decisions before making them. Next, you need to seek information to answer those questions. Do some research! You can learn lots of things on the Internet, but it’s not the only place. You can also interview people. Ask the experts near you. Collect different information and ideas. This will help you make your own decisions. The more information you collect, the better. Then, question everything. Are you being fair? Are you just guessing? Try to look at every idea clearly. Is it really true? What are the real facts? Have you thought about the situation from different sides? Finally, when you reach a conclusion with critical thinking, it’s time to share and use your solution. Not everyone will think about the situation as carefully as you do. You should understand this. Present your solutions in an easy-to-understand way for everyone. 1. What will critical thinkers usually do first? A. Ask questions. B. Do some research. C. Stay true to the truth. D. Analyze with an open mind. 2. What does the underlined word “seek” in paragraph three probably mean? A. Share. B. Forget. C. Provide. D. Collect. 3. What’s the last paragraph mainly about? A. Dealing with situations. B. Reaching a decision. C. Understanding each other. D. Sharing solutions. 4. What is the possible structure of the passage? A. B. C. D. (三十四) (2025年台州椒江二模D篇) A new study has found that older wild animals need to be protected because they have important knowledge that helps the rest of their populations live through challenges. There are lots of ways that older animals help their groups. For example, older birds are great at finding food and safe places for their babies to live. This helps the baby birds grow up strong and healthy. Older female elephants are like wise leaders—they remember which animals are friendly and which are dangerous. They also keep an eye out for lions and other threats. Even grandmother whales are helpful! They use their experience to guide their families to food when it’s hard to find. But sadly, older animals are in danger in some parts of the world. Fishing has caused the number of older fish to drop a lot—up to 97% in some places! This is a big problem because older fish teach younger ones important living skills. In areas where poaching (偷猎) happens, older animals are at even greater risk. Poachers kill them for their bigger tusks, horns, or antlers. Scientists from Charles Darwin University in Australia say we need to do more to protect these older animals. They think the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), a group that helps endangered animals, should pay special attention to older animals. This could help experts find more ways to keep them safe. The scientists also say fishing companies should stop catching too many older fish in order to protect the whole population. 1. What can older animals do to help their population? ①Find safe places to live. ②Give birth more often. ③Guide families to food. ④Remember friends and dangers. A. ①②③ B. ①②④ C. ①③④ D. ②③④ 2. Why are older animals at greater risk? A. Because they can’t find enough food to eat. B. Because they are slow and easier to find by poachers. C. Because they have bad memories and always get lost. D. Because they have bigger tusks, horns, or antlers that poachers want. 3. What does the scientist advise fishing companies to do to protect the population of fish? A. Pay more attention to baby fish. B. Stop catching too many older fish. C. Develop more space for fish to grow. D. Learn necessary skills of feeding fish. 4. Which of the following is the best title of the passage? A. Older Animals Need Protection. B. Older Animals Save The World. C. Overfishing Must Be Stopped. D. The Older, The Wiser. (三十五) (2025年台州路桥二模C篇) Rabbits are small and soft animals. They are super cute! Here are some facts about the popular pet around the world. You might think that rabbits eat a lot of carrots. Actually, that’s not true. Wild rabbits don’t eat root vegetables. They love greens like weeds, grass, and clovers. The sizes of rabbits are widely different. The smallest is the Pygmy Rabbit at 7.9 inches long and 0.9 pounds. The Guinness World Record holder for the longest rabbit is Darius, 4.4 feet long and weighed about 50 pounds. Rabbits are caught by many animals like wolves, foxes, and eagles. So, they need good senses to stay safe. Eyes on the sides of their heads allow them to see almost all the way around them to keep close watch for enemies. Ears up to four inches long have a serious purpose—they can listen for dangers up to two miles away. Rabbits are productive baby makers. Mother rabbits begin breeding (繁殖) at a young age and give birth to up to seven baby rabbits four or five times a year. Baby rabbits are blind and helpless at birth. With the mom’s care, they grow well and stop drinking their mom’s milk after about a month. Not all rabbits live to grow old. Wild rabbits have a shorter life (one to nine years) than pet rabbits (eight to twelve years) because they are exposed (面临) to diseases, the short of food, or enemies. People catch rabbits for fun, food, or their fur, which makes it harder for rabbits to live. Although we value them as pets, they are also used as lab animals for medical and scientific purposes. As a result, almost half of the world’s rabbits are in danger. Will there be a happy ending for rabbits? 1. What writing skill is used in Paragraph 3? A. Asking questions. B. Listing numbers. C. Showing a saying. D. Telling a story. 2. Why do rabbits have eyes on the sides of their heads? A. To watch out for danger. B. To see in the dark. C. To look at the sky. D. To help them sleep. 3. What does the underlined word “they” in Paragraph 5 refer to? A. Mother rabbits. B. Baby rabbits. C. Wild rabbits. D. Pet rabbits. 4. Which of the following is the best title for the passage? A. The Life Cycle of Rabbits B. Rabbits: Facts and Challenges C. The Importance of Rabbits D. Rabbits: The Best Pets in Life (三十六) (2025年台州路桥二模D篇) A long time ago, “cool” was just a word to describe the weather. In the past century, however, the meaning of “cool” has changed a lot, becoming not only a word, but a style, an attitude and even a way of living. So, what does “cool” really mean? In the 1930s, suddenly, being “cool” became the biggest praise in American slang (俚语). As it was more popular, it could also mean staying calm, wise, and fashionable. Today, “cool” has changed greatly. It means being knowledgeable and caring about what’s happening in the world. Dinerstein, a professor at Tulane University, has been asking his students for their ideas about being “cool” for many years. He found that they only thought a person was cool when he had his own opinion on social events, such as climate change. In a 2017 survey from Google, teenagers think that being “cool” means being able to choose their own lifestyles instead of following the mainstream (主流). So, how did “cool”, a simple word of temperature, come to have so many meanings? The answer lies in the young people and the world they are growing up in. The younger generations (代) are often more open-minded and dare to show their personalities. What’s more, with the increasing use of the Internet, their ideas spread farther. For some friends of mine, disagreements with parents are often seen as “cool”. But as for me, being “cool” comes from knowing the importance of safety and responsibility. It also comes from making decisions that suit you well. Real coolness is about being kind and standing up for what is right. The real “cool” ones are those who will not be beaten by failure and always hold on their dreams. 1. What does “cool” mean in the 1930s? A. A word about the weather. B. A word to praise others. C. An opinion about the world event. D. A way to show responsibility. 2. What is Paragraph 4 mainly about? A. Where people use “cool” B. When people like to use “cool”. C. Why “cool” has different meanings. D. Which generation changed the meaning of “cool”. 3. What may the writer consider as being “cool”, according to the last paragraph? A. Being a rule-follower. B. Being kind and never give up. C. Caring about the temperature. D. Daring to show their own opinions. 4. Why does the writer write the passage? A. To call on readers to use the word “cool”. B. To show the importance of the word “cool”. C. To explain the true meaning of being “cool”. D. To tell readers to use other words instead of “cool”. (三十七) (2025年台州温岭二模B篇) Koalas in Australia are in a hard situation, and the story of Emerson shows how challenging it is to protect these cute animals. Ten-month-old Emerson stared at me with his big eyes, as if asking for something. The nurse smiled, “He’s hungry for his milk.” Four months ago, when Emerson arrived at the Northern Rivers Koala Hospital in New South Wales, Australia, he was small and not that healthy. Volunteers had to use a syringe (注射器) to feed him. Under the careful caring of them, he’s healthy now and weighs about five pounds. Jen Ridolfi, the volunteer coordinator at Friends of the Koala, which runs the hospital, told me, “When new volunteers come, I first tell them not to hug these koalas.” She’s strict about this for a reason. Too much physical contact might cause them stress, which could be bad for their health. Every year, around 350 koalas come to the hospital, but only about 30% can be saved. In recent years, some koala populations have decreased by 80%. Koalas aren’t Australia’s most endangered animals, but they’re the ones people really want to save. Since 2019, the Australian government has spent a lot of money, about 50 million US dollars, protecting them. Koalas are a national symbol and bring in lots of tourists. But koalas like to live in nice, coastal areas which are also popular with humans. This means people have to give up some things to protect koalas. It will be a test to see how far we’re willing to go to save this cute animal. 1. What was Emerson like when he first arrived at the hospital? A. Healthy. B. Weak. C. Heavy. D. Big. 2. How many koalas can be saved at the Northern Rivers Koala Hospital every year? A. About 50. B. About 100. C. About 200. D. About 300. 3. What does the underlined word “This” refer to in the last paragraph? A. Koalas aren’t Australia’s most endangered animals B. Koalas are a national symbol and welcomed by tourists. C. The areas where koalas love to live are also popular with humans. D. The Australian government has spent much money protecting koalas. 4. Which might be the best title for the passage? A. The Ways to Protect Koalas in Australia B. The National Treasure of Australia, Koalas C. The Story of a Little Koala Named Emerson D. The Challenges of Koala Protection in Australia (三十八) (2025年台州温岭二模D篇) Recently, on Mount Tai in Shandong Province, a special robot dog has been helping with rubbish collection. It walks around, playing voice messages to remind tourists to protect the environment. Staff from the Taishan Cultural Tourism Group said they tried to find good ways to clean up the mountain. They used the latest technology and learned from other famous places. They thought using robot dogs could be the best solution. Since July, the company has worked with many factories. Finally, they chose Unitree Robotics, a company from Hangzhou, to test rubbish transport on Mount Tai. Jin Da, a manager at Unitree Robotics, told us about the amazing robot dog called Unitree B2. It’s an industrial four-legged robot. This robot dog is really good at walking up and down stairs. Even when the ground is wet, it can keep its balance. It’s also great at climbing mountains! What’s more, when its battery is full, it can work for four to six hours. And it can carry as much as 120 kilograms! After three days of testing on Mount Tai, the robot dog could deal with more than 80% of the road conditions there. This successful test shows that the robot dog can work well in hard situations. The data (数据) and experience we got from this test will help us use robot dogs in many other areas in the future, like saving people, exploring new places and transporting things. Right now, the robot dog is still in the testing stage. The team at Unitree Robotics will make the design even better. Then they will start the next round of testing soon. Who knows? Maybe one day, robot dogs like this will be helping out in many places, making our world cleaner and safer! 1. How does the writer start the passage? A. By using a saying. B. By listing numbers. C. By asking a question. D. By giving an example. 2. Which of the following is TRUE according to the passage? A. The robot dog doesn’t need further testing. B. (三十九) (2025年台州仙居二模B篇) Do you know Old MacDonald Had a Farm? Or Yankee Doodle? They are folk songs. Folk songs are songs that are made up by common people. Many folk songs talk about heroes or young girls. Others, like Old MacDonald, are just for fun. Some folk songs are about the kinds of work that people do. The patriotic (爱国的) songs of many countries are also folk songs. Every country has its own folk songs. The songs that travelling singers in Europe sang at village fairs were folk songs. So are the songs of American cowboys and farmers all over the world. Most of these songs were made up long ago, and people have been singing them for hundreds of years. One of the oldest American folk songs is Turkey in the Straw. It’s about silly things that happen to a young farmer. Meadowlands is an old Russian favorite that tells of the horsemen who ride around the huge flat land of Russia. The Canadian song Alouette is a fun song about a bird. Folk songs are the songs that people often sing when they come together for a good time. They’re the songs that people sing as they work. In fact, many folk songs were made up just to make work seem easier. They help to make a long, hard day go faster. Of course, in China, we also have traditional folk songs and folk singers. Like all folk songs, they come from the common people and tell of things in everyday lives. There are three main kinds of Chinese folk songs, Hao Zi, Xiao Diao and Shan Ge. It’s becoming very popular, with about 25 million people around the world climbing regularly, especially in Japan and the US. Doing this sport needs a lot of strength, because it uses around 650 muscles (肌肉) in our body. Athletes have to pull themselves up high walls that are straight up or even upside down. They hold on to small places to climb, and sometimes these places are just big enough for one finger. It’s also a challenge for the mind. In competitions, athletes are not allowed to see the wall before they compete, so they have to make a quick decision about which way they should take to reach the top. A. The rain. Paragraph 5 【答案】1. B 2. B 3. C 4. C 【解析】 【导语】本文主要讲了人们会像对待真人一样对待AI,并且通过一个实验来证明了这一点,并且介绍了AI的优点,同时也存在一些风险。 【1题详解】 细节理解题。根据“the theory suggests we often reply to media and technology like we do to real people and places, rather than just seeing them as tools.”可知,人们常以对待真实人类的方式回应媒体和技术,而非仅视为工具。故选B。 【2题详解】 推理判断题。根据“An example is Replika, an AI chatbot…But the AI’s support turned dangerous when it encouraged Jaswant Singh Chail, a young man in the UK, to carry out his plan to kill the Queen of England.”可知,Replika的例子说明AI的支持导致用户犯罪,说明AI可能对人类行为产生负面影响。故选B。 【3题详解】 推理判断题。根据“This can help people tell the difference between virtual and real communication.” (三) (2025年杭州临平区二模C篇) Imagine you taking a pleasant walk down the street on a Sunday morning. 【答案】1. B 2. C 3. B 4. D. 【答案】1. C 2. B 3. A 4. 【答案】1. B 2. A 3. C 4. 1. Why Adults Take Fewer Risks 【答案】1. D 2. B 3. C 4. A 【解析】 【导语】本文围绕青少年冒险这一现象展开,先是例介绍Laura Dekker和Jessica Watson独自环球航行的事迹,阐述有许多青少年尝试打破纪录,分析他们急于打破纪录的原因,最后借青少年探险家之口“孩子比成年人有更多梦想”,探讨青少年冒险的缘由,核心是探究青少年为何热衷于冒险。 【1题详解】 细节理解题。根据“In 2011...For all of 2011, she was sailing (航行) around the world on a boat...alone.”可知,说明Laura Dekker在2011年独自环球航行。故选D。 【2题详解】 细节理解题。根据“Two years before her record - breaking trip, Australian Jessica Watson also sailed alone around the world. C. I do think her daughter was right to be angry.” —JACK After much discussion, most people seem to agree that it’s time to stop sharenting when your children are about 12 or 13 years old. A. Because it is a copy of a Boeing plane. B. Because it is the first airplane to carry 192 passengers. C. Because it is the only airplane used by Air China. D. Because it is the first airplane made by China. 2. The first customer of the C919 is from _________ Airlines. A. Air China B. Airbus C. China Eastern D. China Southern 3. What does the underlined word “them” refer to in Para. 5? A. Trips. B. Records. C. Airplanes. D. Products. 4. Which statement can be inferred from the passage? A. China’s aviation industry has a bright and hopeful future. B. More than 10,000 orders have been placed for the C919. C. The C919 is only about carrying people to travel. D. More industries will be created because of the C919. 【答案】1. D 2. C 3. C 4. It’s a time to focus on the importance of good oral health. Signs of it are teeth with dark spots or teeth that hurt…”及常识可知,蛀牙是指牙齿上的小黑点或小痕迹。spots在此处指“物体上的小痕迹”,是蛀牙的标志。故选C。 【2题详解】 推理判断题。根据“Tooth decay… teeth that hurt when eating very hot, cold or sweet foods.”可知,吃太热、太凉或太甜的食物时牙齿会疼,说明得了蛀牙。由此可推知,爱吃热食的Amy更容易出现口腔问题。故选C。 【3题详解】 细节理解题。根据“It’s best to brush your teeth for three to five minutes a time.”可知,每次刷牙3到5分钟是正确做法,有助于保持口腔健康。故选A。 【4题详解】 最佳标题题。全文围绕口腔健康展开,包括其重要性(第2段)、口腔问题(第3—4段)和口腔护理建议(第5—7段)。选项B“多多关注口腔健康”最能概括全文主旨,是本文的最佳标题。故选B。 (十四) (2025年金华二模C篇) ①Crowds of tourists wait for hours to look at the painting of the Mona Lisa in Paris. 【答案】1. C 2. C 3. A 4. B 【解析】 【导语】本文主要探讨了过度旅游的危害、解决措施,并建议游客选择非热门景点。 【1题详解】 推理判断题。根据第一段中 “Crowds of tourists...A long line of climbers... ”可知,作者通过列举蒙娜丽莎画作前的游客、威尼斯港口的游轮、珠峰的登山者等具体例子引出 “过度旅游” 的话题,故选C。 【2题详解】 主旨大意题。通读第二段可知,第二段先指出旅游对经济和就业的重要性,但因游客人数过多而带来交通、垃圾以及生活成本上升等问题,整段围绕 “过度旅游带来的问题” 展开,故选C。 【3题详解】 词句猜测题。根据“Cities like Amsterdam and Paris are collecting tax to pay for solving the problems that overtourism has brought.”可知,划线词“tax”与后文“to pay for solving the problems”搭配,可推知此处表示“征收税款,用于解决过度旅游造成的问题”。故选A。 【4题详解】 细节理解题。根据“For your next sightseeing trip, why not visit some small towns and places that aren’t very popular with tourists?”可知,作者建议访问不热门的小镇和地方,故选B。 (十五) (2025年金华二模D篇) ①It used to be common to think of robots as just machines designed to do dirty, boring and dangerous work. 【答案】1. D 2. C 3. B 4. A 【解析】 【导语】本文主要讲述了机器人是否是我们的朋友的问题。 【1题详解】 细节理解题。根据“the robot saved the girl’s life and her mother changed her opinions on the robot.”可知,因为机器人救了孩子,所以妈妈改变了对机器人的看法。故选D。 【2题详解】 细节理解题。根据“think of the friendly robots in science fiction, from WALL-E to R2-D2.”可知,作者认为WALL-E和R2-D2是友好的。故选C。 【3题详解】 词句猜测题。根据“Also, they are designed to show sadness if they lose in games.”可知,他们被设计来表达悲伤,当他们游戏失败时。故they指代机器人。故选B。 【4题详解】 推理判断题。根据“But let’s not forget—they aren’t living beings and they don’t have feelings. At least, not yet.”可知,作者写文章的目的是告知我们机器人没有生命,没有感情,不要把机器人当作人来对待。故选A。 (十六) (2025年金华六校二模B篇) In the west, there is a very popular saying, “Make money in the United States and live in the United Kingdom.” It means that the United States has a developed economy and is a good place to make money. 【答案】1. B 2. C 3. C 4. Researchers say it can really make birds angry, too. C. A. A. B. C. D. 2. How does the writer show the Fibonacci sequence in nature? A. By giving examples. B. By comparing facts. C. By asking questions. D. By showing opinions. 3. Genes that Increase Food Production 【答案】1. D 2. 【答案】1. A 2. B 3. C 4. But with deepfakes, these things are possible. A. B. C. D. 【答案】1. A 2. D 3. B 4. A. Parents. B. Students. C. Doctors. D. Teachers. 【答案】1. C 2. A 3. D 4. 【答案】1. B 2. C 3. D 4. B 【解析】 【导语】本文是一篇说明文。文章主要讲述了全球迁徙动物面临的生存危机,包括人类活动、气候变化等威胁,并呼吁人们采取行动保护这些动物。 【1题详解】 细节理解题。根据“A report has found that one fifth of the world’s migrating animals are at risk of dying out.”可知,20%的迁徙动物处于危险中。故选B。 【2题详解】 细节理解题。根据“However, the biggest danger to migrating animals is people, such as hunting, fishing and building things that destroy their homes.”可知,人类活动是迁徙动物的最大威胁。故选C。 【3题详解】 细节理解题。根据“In the South Atlantic ocean, rules that stopped the hunting of humpback whales (座头鲸) helped make their numbers go from 450 in the 1950s to more than 25,000 today.”可知,作者通过列举具体数字说明保护项目的成效。故选D。 【4题详解】 主旨大意题。根据“There is hope. However, these difference$$
