2. I held out my hand and to my surprise, she kissed me on both sides of my face!
Will you kiss him?
She kissed the child on the forehead.

4. Also, we never visit a friend's house without calling first.

Some girls would never go out without taking time to dress themselves up.
You will hardly ever be able to speak good English without practicing.

You wouldn't believe... 与此类似的表达还有You would never believe... 或You would hardly believe... 。例如:
You wouldn't believe that he found his long - lost sister in Taiwan!

在英语中,“be used to (doing) sth”、“be used to do”和“used to”这三个短语虽然都含有“used to”,但它们的含义和用法却大不相同。
1)be/get used to( doing) sth
I am used to waking up early.(我习惯了早起。)
Tom is used to (eating) noodles.
2 ) be used to do
这里的“used”是被动语态的动词,意为“被使用”,“to do”是不定式,表示目的或意图 = be used for doing。
The tool is used to open bottles.(这个工具是用来开瓶子的。)
= The tool is used for opening bottles.
3) used to
She used to smoke, but she doesn’t anymore.(她过去常常抽烟,但现在不抽了。)
Tom used to take a bus to school, but now he is used to walking to school.

With the development of technology, more and more students prefer to use electric products for taking notes and sending messages, rather than write on the paper. Thus, our handwriting is not as good as it was in the past. Facing the problem, we should do as follows:
First, we should use less electric products when learning. If so, we can have more opportunities to improve our handwriting. Besides, we must form the habit of practising calligraphy every day. What's more, it is better to write letters to our relatives and friends by hand instead of sending e-mails.
Beautiful and neat handwriting is of great benefit to us students. So let's take action right now! I'm sure our efforts will pay off.

3.We value the time we spend with our family and friends in our everyday lives.
I've always valued my teachers' advice.
Many people make different kinds of friends in their social lives.
一些常用短语和表达,如live/have/lead a... life,常用life的单数形式。如:
She just wanted to live a quiet life.
4. Also, we never visit a friend's house without calling first.
Some girls would never go out without taking time to dress themselves up.
You will hardly ever be able to speak good English without practicing.
5. Mind your manners!
Mind your head, please!
Mind your steps!
It's bad manners to talk with your mouth full.
8. You wouldn't believe how quickly my French has improved because of that.
You wouldn't believe... 与此类似的表达还有You would never believe... 或You would hardly believe... 。例如:
You wouldn't believe that he found his long - lost sister in Taiwan!
You would never believe what quick progress he's made ever since he attended your class. It is a miracle!

在英语中,“be used to (doing) sth”、“be used to do”和“used to”这三个短语虽然都含有“used to”,但它们的含义和用法却大不相同。
1)be/get used to( doing) sth
I am used to waking up early.(我习惯了早起。)
Tom is used to (eating) noodles.
2 ) be used to do
这里的“used”是被动语态的动词,意为“被使用”,“to do”是不定式,表示目的或意图 = be used for doing。
The tool is used to open bottles.(这个工具是用来开瓶子的。)
= The tool is used for opening bottles.
3) used to
She used to smoke, but she doesn’t anymore.(她过去常常抽烟,但现在不抽了。)
Tom used to take a bus to school, but now he is used to walking to school.
